Literally impossible to work on a course sculpted and brought in from 2K21 without crashing in 10 minutes or less.

So, an update now that crashes are hopefully sorted:
1) Given that some designers have been completely sunk by crashes up to this point, I'm extending the deadline until July 31st to allow people to catch up. We'll keep the window opening on 1st July though. I may extend the window further if those issues persist, but hopefully the HB team have sorted them now.
2) There is no required difficulty level and when you publish, I'll ask for you to fill out a short form, which states the intended difficulty. Judges may still comment on how that difficulty level is achieved and how effectively (e.g. if it's too penal / too easy), but we will know what level you are going for. Basically, if you want to make a hard/easy course, go for it.
3) FYI, I'm avoiding looking at any WIPs, streams etc. So a) don't take this personally and b) please avoid telling me your idea; I want the first time I see each course to be when I load it up for a playthrough - find I get better first impressions that way (and it's more fun for me).

Keep designing, don't publish until you're ready (even though you aren't bound by the publish window), as I'll only decide which course of yours makes the field once the publish window has closed. Make the best course you can  To those in groups, I won't announce who is withdrawing until the end of the window. Wouldn't want you to drop your focus! |

That’s great news, and definitely a nice boost of motivation to get me through the console-planting stage I’m currently mired in.
These Holiday/Winter Pack bushes and trees are a challenge to integrate subtly, and honestly they have really been putting a strain on my retinas. But, all of this pain will have been worth it when I’m able to properly frame and showcase these beautiful fairways crafted entirely from the fringe trick.

Not long until publish month! Sadly, we've had a couple of people withdraw, including one high seed. Happily, we have a pool of alternates and I've been able to replace the high seed with an unnamed participant who was late taking up the invite. Looking forward to seeing what comes out of this contest in three weeks or so!
