This thread is a good read. I've been playing with the Elite 2 for about 10 weeks now. I play with the tension set all the way tight and right. Love it and hit a lot of near straight and perfects with it and refuse to calibrate it ever. Just plugged it into my pc and played it right out of the box and never even looked into the options screen. I always play wired but it appears that it doesn't matter for this controller according to this thread. But I do run into a couple of WTF Dark Grey Slows every once in awhile and that makes me wonder about the input. This conversation about 125/1000/8000 ms or whatever is intriguing. Guess I'm gonna waste 300 dollars on the Wolverine and Edge controller for testing/experiment fun. But I highly doubt it will make me a better player or shave strokes off my average. Fingers Crossed. Playstation controllers are much better for consistent tempo but Xbox controllers are so much easier to hit straight so pick the controller that suits your game on PC.

I tested out the PS5 DualSense when I bought the Xbox Elite 2 and found it much more difficult to control but my swing has gotten better over time and I didn't test out the PS5 controller long enough and I LOVE THE TENSION CONTROL on the Elite 2. But I am wondering about this dark grey slow bug that comes with xbox controllers on the pc and that it gets worse polling rates. Not sure if switching will do anything but if I can test for free because of free returns I might as well test away. Does the xbox controller really give random dark grey slows? I mean I always just thought I missed when that happens but every once in awhile I do get a WTF moment?

Personally really struggled with the new dual sense 5 I bought just couldn't get on with the stick. I bought a new dual shock 4 and that is this is by far the best controller for me in this game.

You’d be surprised! I switched from elite 2 and instantly got better tempo, less perfects than elite 2 but much more marginal slows and fasts which are playable. The polling rate issue is definitely a thing for Xbox official hardware. Such a shame as the elite 2 feels incredible tightened up like you said

Tempo is better, not many perfects but none of the bullshit random very fasts/slows I was getting with the Series X controller (on PC).

So what is the consensus here? Since 2K23 I can't play this game with my Xbox One controller. I play via Bluetooth.

What system are you playing on PC, Xbox One Controller, Bluetooth You may be better with a PS controller as it gives you more polling points than an Xbox one

I was PC XBOX One and I play so much better with my PS DS5 controller. My swing plane is a bit better but my timing is much more consistent and I now rarely go "what the heck, why was that slow?" To be sure, I still have slows and fasts, but I almost always know it before I even see the feedback.

Although i am not that consistant at the game this controller has given me more of a chance to compete, £79 from Amazon, got it delivered when the missus was out!!!!.

I tried the new PS5 controller but found it didn't work for me on this game, it was always overpowered or underpowered shots. I will stick with my Xbox (Series) controller.

Are the Razer controllers for Series X ok to use with TGC? Like the Wolverine Ultimate?

Are the Razer controllers for Series X ok to use with TGC? Like the Wolverine Ultimate? Yes for sure, it's actually more sensitive horizontally than the standard and the elite made by Microsoft.
