Dear TST enthusiasts, The time has come; season 9 is here!!! As from this week, everybody is welcome to play TST - all you need to do to participate is register for TST here: www.tgctours.com/Tour/Signup?tourId=5The first few weeks of the season will be used to, once again, assign players to flights - in a few weeks, our in-house wizard skoader will start incorporating flight leaderboards in these weekly threads. Like previous seasons, you can also earn FedEX points every week and the last few weeks of the season will have restricted fields - like IRL - based on FedEX points standings - those standings will be available in a separate thread and updated throughout the season. These first few weeks/months you'll have to allow me some leeway in selecting courses; many of the RCRs available last year have not been ported yet or are simply unplayable in 2k23 in TST-mode. So, tournament names and actual course played for some weeks might not always make sense. I will try to select as many RCRs as possible and set them up in way appropriate for TST. I might get it wrong sometimes; if I do, tell me - nicely  . Okay, so on to week 1! Missouri... that's in Texas, right? Near Houston, right?  Anyway, this first week I'm taking you to Payne's Valley Golf Course - a Tiger Woods (company) design: www.tgctours.com/Course/Details/27201This course should work well for those still struggling with tempo - fairways are wide - and putting - greens aren't too tricky. Was +2 thru 3 in rd1 so not an ideal start to the TST season, fought back to shoot -4 to be amongst the pack on PC looking up at rob4590 incredible round of golf. Lovely course selection this week, a great track by BaconJunkie1 |

Had a bizarre round 2, it was almost like a glitch with my swing. I typically hit around 50% perfects on long shots but in round 2 I didn't hit a perfect on any shot all round, couldn't even get anywhere near the white, just wide grey fasts and slows, was like my polling points went to Xbox for a round minus the ability to hit a perfect!
Did well to shoot +1 in the end and maybe time to turn off for a while to see if that resolves it. Can't really understand how I can go from 75% GIR to 38% in 10 minutes when conditions are identical

Well I went and bought a ps5 last night and decided to jump straight over. Had to swap from left stick to right because the controller felt so different so RIP my swingplane this week at least!
Lovely lovely course! Lots of tough elevation changes and shots over water. Plenty of slopes on the greens to make chipping tricky too.
Looking forward to sussing out how to swing straight and hopefully post some good scores again! Play well guys

Well I went and bought a ps5 last night and decided to jump straight over. Had to swap from left stick to right because the controller felt so different so RIP my swingplane this week at least! Lovely lovely course! Lots of tough elevation changes and shots over water. Plenty of slopes on the greens to make chipping tricky too. Looking forward to sussing out how to swing straight and hopefully post some good scores again! Play well guys Nacon do a wired PS controller in the shape of Xbox config. Before I switched to PC that’s what I used when I went from Xbox to PS |

Came back after a break to play, tried recalibration etc. but whilst improved I can't hit a perfect no matter how hard I try! the closest I can get is a slight grey fast so have just decided to play that slight grey fast verging on a wide grey fast (feels a bit like the early days of 2k21 again...) Not sure if the tempo has been tweaked with or there's an issue with my controller that worked perfectly earlier but Sunday is my rounds day so I soldiered on and despite an up and down round, had a nice little finish to the round with my first albatross on 2k23!  I saved the clip in game - is there any way to access these clips for uploading? Cheers |

Season goals now updated: Finish an event within 15 shots of Rob on PC

It's a big difference switching from left to right but the left stick being so low is an even bigger change. |

Round 1: -9  Round 2: -6  Round 3: -9 Round 4: -3  (Why oh why did I schedule a low wind round??? I mean, if one thing is exactly the same as in 2k21, it is the fact that I cannot play decent without wind!!) Total: -27 I felt I played well for the first three rounds and threw it away in the fourth... I do really enjoy TST in 2k23 though! Good luck all, Frans |

It's a big difference switching from left to right but the left stick being so low is an even bigger change. Actually took me a while to get used to the DS4 stick (though it is very loose now), bought a DS5 about a month ago and just love it, it is such a superb controller and I prefer it to my Series X controller and I never thought I would say that before I bought it. I have always been right stick so the change won't be the same as yours. |

Edit: Just realised it in your future courses, looking forward to that one Yeh I definitely didn’t make the crap-dar version of it in 2k21, please don’t associate me with that 4 hour design 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve still got it in my WIPs as was a junior member there! Seeing as TGC Tools doesn’t work anymore it’s quite likely I’ll finish these many WIPs I have (there’s about 12), IF I ever manage to finish porting my 2k21 courses. Basically replanting all of them at the moment… |
