What’s the point of book only if you have to set the display to HD in to see course yardage and elevation? Why not just set course yardage on?

Platinum Legend Settings - Round 1 Rhythm Archetype Few fittings here and there! One of the lesser Aviator balls
-4
Was thinking going into this, I'd be delighted with around level par, so -4 was a pleasant surprise! Only one bogey which resulted from a careless 3 putt. Plenty of missed fairways and greens, but managed to get up and down quite alot. The bad shots I felt were entirely my fault and could feel that through my swing. So much easier than 2k21 Legend swing, but not getting carried away but very encouraged!

I've been playing master all the time and quite a mixed bag, but even the good is around evens but generally putted well on the par scores, but I have had couple nightmare rounds. Only scored -5 1st round here but that was due to some poor holes ( course management). This challenge circuit is for a lot of people. Yes some will bird most of the holes but they will be in A and then move up. Others will really struggle with Masters and even though they will improve , I really think theres no option but pro for challenge. Even though I would rather toil away on Masters, it may get some players quite down. Maybe we can start with pro in Challenge tour and when we will see that cut line in CC-L is -10 we can change difficulty for Masters …

How’s everyone finding 3-click?
I like the premise of it but man that meter swings quickly, even on pro swing…

Lots of exhibition golf to play in PGA TOUR 2K23 in the next few weeks as we get things updated under the hood. Please provide feedback on your rounds - I'd appreciate as much details as possible so will provide a format you can use if you'd like.
Here are our societies in game - search "TGCT" to find them easily
Exhibition Event settings
TGCTours (Platinum Tour) - Legend, open swing type
TGCTours (Elite Tour) - Master, open swing type
TGCTours (Kinetic Tour) - Master, open swing type
TGCTours (Challenge Circuit) - Pro, open swing type
TGCTours (Beer League) - Pro, 3-click
TGCTours (True Sim Tour) - TST settings, analog
TGCTours (Special Events) - no events scheduled
Please provide the following while giving feedback:
Event/Difficulty Swing type (analog/3 click) Thoughts on how it played (frustration/fun factor) Sprinkled a few rain rounds in these events - if you get one and notice frame drops/lag please let me know here as well.
Please note that these are just test events. Upcoming season settings not finalized yet.
Have fun out there!
I've had the game since the Friday before launch, and that's about the learning curve for master difficulty - a week. That is, more or less, how long it took me to get to Level 50. Once all the you earn enough skill points to max out all the passive boosts in the skill tree, master difficulty gets easier - though never totally easy. Doyley, regardless of the short-term swing difficulty, the long-term concern is regulating/locking the golf balls. That's far more of a (literal) game changer. Hopefully, the developers listen, and give us the ability to restrict golf balls in individual societies. Otherwise, we're all on the honor system.

One other thing, I completely agree there should be a 3-click Tour, whether that's the Beer League or something new. It's different, it's its own challenge, and it gives regular Tour players another event to look forward to each week, potentially on another set of golf courses, with a totally different swing mechanic. I had fun switching back and forth from the Kinetic event (master swing) to Beer League (3-click) last night.

Enjoying it more than I thought I would!

Kinetic/Master Swing type: 3 click -4 (1st round)
Felt spot on and an appropriate challenge. Haven't played with Kinetic level wind conditions before, so struggled to read the wind meter. Very enjoyable and encouraging experience. I hope swing type remains "open".

Played on the Kinetic tournament scored a -4, believe I had 6 birdies and an eagle, but also had a triple bogey which killed my score, definitely a challenge, but also fair. The only thing that was upsetting was I hit what I thought was a good enough splash out of the sand for the ball to only go 4 yards back in the bunker. Probably will stick to the career mode and keep working on pro to get better feel for the game mechanics.

Or HB could just remove the stupid course altering aspects of the balls and leave the spin and flight differences like real life balls have.

CC-G player on XB here. Been on TGC since 2019 and a big fan. Thanks for all you do.
I just went -15 round 1 on CC. Pretty disappointed that we’re even testing pro difficulty on CC tbh. I won’t play if it’s this easy. Too hard to compete on XB having to birdie every hole and go -50 to get promoted. Don’t understand no yardage or elevation either. Doesn’t really make it much harder just more annoying.
IF for some reason you decide to stick with pro I hope the courses are much more difficult this year.
Able to still -6 on Kinetic. I feel on a good round I could manage -10 and I’m by no means one of the better players here.

Don’t understand no yardage or elevation either. Doesn’t really make it much harder just more annoying. We have yardage and elevation - you have to move it to your HUD. See the Message of the Day in-game (or our home page or info/rules) for how to change that setting.

Played the Kinetic round in the rain. Series X, no issues with lag or anything, except maybe my score, LOL, shot +4 and +6 overall for the event

My feedback so far.
I played a couple different styles, Kinetic, CC, and TST.
I have not tried putting any skills or fittings in yet. Just trying to get a feel for the new way of swinging first. I probably have about 10-12 casual rounds in so far. Remember, I'm just a casual player that likes the competition here, I'm not hard core- Normally I prefer to play only no more than 5 or so rounds a week, and not interested in practicing.
I play on PC with an xbox controller, analog swing stick. I tried three click and I can't do that. it goes too fast for me to click.
After playing one round of TST I remembered why I don't play that, (I can't see fluctuations in the green without the grid) so not gonna skew the comments on that one for the ones that play that, haha.
As for the other two, I really couldn't tell much difference in them, with the way I play.
On Both Tours- I had no trouble off the tee. Had some random tempo misses, but most shots were perfect or just barely fast/slow. I had no trouble putting. Once I got on the green I was ok, the putting is a bit different, but all that takes is getting used to it.
Where I had the most trouble/frustration, on both tours, was my second and third shots. My irons seemed to always land short, or the tempo was just off just enough to be slightly off the green, and I could not figure it out. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do a partial shot, without that meter thing. Now, I don't like the meter, I think its distracting. I'd rather NOT play with it. On drives and putts it messes me up. But- on the partial shots, between 20-60 yds away, I can't seem to figure out where to stop my backswing without it, by just watching the animation. So if I hit the green in reg, or just off it where I can do a chip, I'm ok, I end up with around par. But if I hit the rough, sand, or anywhere within 25-60 yards away from the green, then I max things out, just going back and forth over the green, or flubbing the ball 10 yrds.
I do feel like this is more of a me problem than a TGC problem, but just giving feedback. If I could get that worked out, then I might see more of a difference between CC and Kinetic, but as it stands, that is happening to me on both tours, and its hard to see anything else. But other than that, I quite enjoyed myself, on both tours.
Thank you for setting things up, its good to be playing again!!
EDIT: My pc is pretty old by mosts standards, and I didn't see any lag or anything. the game itself ran fine.
