I don’t have the game as I’m on the fence, but with what I’ve read about more emphasis put on swing plane, I’m curious if we might see a return of the infamous push/pull of 2019? And if so, is this something the API will check for like it did back then. I have no idea how the dispersion is and if this tactic would work, just the first thing I thought of. The legend scoring will probably be the determining factor whether I get this game or not, I’d appreciate if every couple days someone might screenshot the leaderboards. I assume the scores won’t be on the site. If people are already scoring well on legend without even having the best fittings or stupid balls, I’m not gonna bother with it. A couple Plat guys shot close to -30 last night. The push pull will def be in effect in 23. Let's see if it will be policed. Excuse me, the leader is -38 on PS |

Whilst I agree to an extent. Legend is totally unplayable on Xbox. You can't hit the grey area. You'd basically be making it a closed shop. It might get to the point that's needed and I hate banging this drum. But we have no misses whatsoever on legend outside of a duff. Can't say I'm surprised by this. And I hate bringing bad news, but if Legend is impossible to play, you're also doomed at Master too Honestly I'd have sworn blind the same thing but in reality the grey misses on master are very very favourable. I'm shooting waaay lower on 23 than I ever did on 21 on master. It's a strange one and maybe fittings etc will help with legend. It's all uncertain right now I guess until we max out. |

I was in CC for most the past 2 years and moved up to Kinetic at the end of last season. I am at level 24. I played one round in CC Event, played great and shot 57. Jumped right into the Platinum Event and was -1 for about 7 holes and then reality set in...finished with 75, played a 2nd round and shot 69. Legend setting is awesome....and the faster greens with the way the ball rolls off make this a great test. I played 2 rounds on Master settings and was -5 for each round.
No doubt about Legend being the setting for the Plat Tour and possible the Elite. Master for Kinetic. CC - Pro.
All with default golf ball.
Question....can we change Archetype or club fittings between rounds of a society event?

XBOXers.....for those of you that have played on legend. Were any of you able to hit a "grey" shot? The tempo wasnt terrible for me as I hit more perfects than i ever did on 2k21, but if indidnt hit a perfect it was always in the black, or what used to be red. I played 5 rounds on legend and never hit one shot on grey. It was perfect or nothing.
I guess i could pose that question to other platforms also...is it perfect or red for you on legend as well?

Played a round on Platinum and a round on Elite.
+16 plat
-10 elite
First time ever trying legend swing. Obviously struggled but really got punished with the short game. I haven’t played an event at TGCT in a long time, so the settings were a mystery to me. No idea how to interpret the wind gauge. I didn’t figure out there was even a yardage book until the back 9. And zero clue how to understand elevation. That especially hurt with chips/putts. I also got a case of the “who cares” at the end and rushed through. Didn’t have fun with legendary with these other settings. But I could see it being used on the top tours.
Elite with Masters was not my usual round. I think there was a placebo affect coming from legend swing. I also got extremely lucky on some bounces. I’m usually between E and -5, so this round was an anomaly. Also think the course was easy.
What am I missing with this yardage book? Can you get elevation on approach shots? Elevation on the green?
At this point I would want to play in a season with Masters. I find it more fun.

Doyley are you guys testing API with these events? Not yet but will be soon - everything is ready to go from HB/2K's end we just need to get our side in order. |

Make sure to read the Message of the Day in the society - tells you how to put the distance info in your HUD so you can see it there (instead of relying on yardage book).

Been playing master since release, first pro game to play CC. Scored a -11 and could have been more. Fear birdiefests will continue if CC stays on Pro. No fear off the tee, smash and putt.

I played four rounds: Tgc with Master Rounds: +23 +13 + 3 2 round were my fisrt in new game. Then I played 1 round in Tgc with Pro -8 and stupidly played doublebogey on first hole. In my opinion pro setting isn’t challenge. I’m only CC-L player. I would prefer Master setting |

I've been playing master all the time and quite a mixed bag, but even the good is around evens but generally putted well on the par scores, but I have had couple nightmare rounds.
Only scored -5 1st round here but that was due to some poor holes ( course management).
This challenge circuit is for a lot of people. Yes some will bird most of the holes but they will be in A and then move up. Others will really struggle with Masters and even though they will improve , I really think theres no option but pro for challenge. Even though I would rather toil away on Masters, it may get some players quite down.
