Are we definitely leaning towards a minimum of Master on the main tours Doyley ? Yes, definitely leaning that way. I agree Master setting is good decision. Last season I played in CC_L and sometimes I didn't make cut. And now I play TGC Challeng with PRO setting and I was -22 after two rounds

These are my personal favorite settings….
Swing Difficulty: Master
 Swing Timing: On
 Distance Control Meter: Off
 Distance Control Assist: Off
 Putt Preview: 0
 Course Yardage: On
 Pro Vision: All off
 Scout Camera: UI Off
 Lie Grid: On
 Green Grid: On
 Pin Preference: Open
 Aim Marker: On
 Wind Display: On
 Distance Display: Carry
It’s challenging but not impossible. I believe it is 2.00 difficulty.

I would love to see these settings for TGC tours! I’m not a fan of book only, would like to see them bring back course yardage. I don’t think book only makes it that much more difficult if at all and it’s just annoying to have to go change settings to see course yardage before every TGC tours event I play.

It does make it a bit more challenging on par 4 and 5 holes not knowing the exact elevation change between the tee and the landing area. Just asks a few questions about club selection.

CC-E player. Played one cc round on masters. I made 7 birdies 3bogeys and one double. I made a bogey every time I hit into a bunker. I have played around 6-7 rounds on my career. All that said, I believe CC should be on masters. I played one round on pro and did not enjoy it. I do not think masters difficulty is too difficult for the cc division.

Former Kinetic Tour Player Played Platinum, Elite, Kinetic and Challenge Test Events Analog swing and default ball only on PS4
Alright you asked for feedback so here it goes! First off though I think it's important to keep in mind is that it's still early days and very few (if any) players have maxed out their skills and fittings. I'm at a Level 23 currently and have started making selective upgrades. They do make a significant difference to the game difficulty if you're patient, save your VC, and only apply the higher value fittings and skills. The game will become easier over time for everyone as players boost their stats and I won't even mention the golf balls yet...
So with that said I think Pro difficulty already is easier than 2K21 at default golfer stats and think it will be very difficult to create much score separation in the long run even over 15 flights. If we're going with one swing difficulty across Pro and Challenge circuits I think Master is the way to go as it plays very fairly in my opinion. My scores on Master were fairly comparable to 2K21 although it's still a work in progress and I was switching between different archetypes. As an aside, I think there's an opportunity for some interesting strategy in switching player archetypes between rounds to best suit the course conditions and tees used. I'm aware of the logistical difficulties in creating too many differences between Pro and Challenge circuits but I really do think Legend could be used for all Pro circuits. Tempo is harder to hit but I was still able to hit many perfects. The key challenge to me is the sensitivity of the swing path. Legend forces you to play smarter and manage your misses which is a more realistic experience that I personally enjoy. I think I was able to grind out the Platinum event for an even par finish and those have been my only 4 Legend rounds.
The game mechanics still are taking some time to get used to. For example, flop shots now actually spin while splash shots roll out which is essentially the opposite of 2K21. I'm finding overall the greens are more receptive (at least for approach shots) but the green speeds are dialed up (150 in this game probably plays closer to 165 in 2K21). Downhill putting is obviously much more difficult and really makes you think about the risk of 3-putting. I'm not sure if the rain caused any noticeable issues although I sure didn't play well in it. However, I do believe the rain rounds in the Elite and Kinetic events also had the hardest round settings of each event. My Platinum rain round didn't have as significant a score discrepancy.
I really hope the ability to lock golf balls for society events is introduced. I think society play is a relatively small percentage of the overall player base and 2K can still make their microtransaction money from the vast majority of players who are just casuals playing career mode who want to max out their stats immediately rather than grind. Without balls being locked to default I don't think we have a level playing field whatsoever as balls can completely change the actual course settings. From a ranger's perspective I really have no idea how to recommend settings and test things fairly or provide any useful feedback other than whether I like the course generally.

I'm playing the last round in the Elite event right now, no issues with lagging in the rain so far. I played another society event in rain the other day and it was fine too .

Thanks for the feedback everyone - still another couple weeks of exhibition events on the horizon. Went in and brightened up the next round since there's no point in testing more rain/overcast/light cloud. Keep the feedback coming. Should note the next round of events should have lie grid on. I am looking to have this back on (it'll likely be set to open) for the season since the game is much tougher this go around. If you have it off by default, might be good to switch to on if you want to make use of it. I'm going to assume it's not OP and most people will enjoy it back on but feel free to give thoughts on it as well. Will look to dial in the settings we'll use for the upcoming season following the 2nd week of exhibition events and then have at least one more round of exhibition events on the settings we'll run with.
If everything is ready after that, we'll fire off then - if not, we'll have to tread water until all ducks are lined up in a row! Is there a week coming up with API data populating on leaderboards upcoming here at TGCTours to make sure it's all good in that aspect?

Can you say whether or not you can see the ball used in the data? If so you can code it to dq based on ball, right?

PS5 Played elite, plat and TST - Pretty much gash in them all. No issues performance wise, even with rain. Didn't particularly like the rain round, but performed fine. Master swing is about right for my patience / tolerance, and think it's the way to go broadly. My legend swing round was after a bottle of wine and a few beers, but I didn't find the full swing tempo too bad, but the short game I think would be too frustrating to bother to try and play with for all my tour rounds.
The best players are always going to rip it up, and there will be some that find ways to score incredibly, with whatever swing we have. Master for TGCT harmony IMO.
