Are you guys pulling the data from the leaderboards only of the tour we're currently in or would it be helpful to play across all tours?

These exhibition events will be like a Promo event (except we'll include Plat players) where everyone will be on one massive leaderboard - it will be only 1 event per week hosted out of the Special Events society.
Also of note - my wish/hope is that the master swing gets a tweak in 2K23 where the grey miss is larger. If that's the case then it'll be a little less painful than the current master swing in 2K21. Remains to be seen so cross fingers!

Awesome news about going to Master for these Doykey! Do you know if TST will be doing the same until the next game? 🙏 Played pretty much all year on Master TST settings offline. Average about 70-71 compared to 66-67 on pro.

Bloody loved being back on Master. Only played R1 so far but really looking forward to the rest. It's a perfect skill level for many, especially as the challenge in the scrambling game of 2K21 is pretty easy even on legend.

Hey all - picked the game up last Sunday and I'm really diggin' it.
So I joined the Beer league Society about one hour prior to the season closing (I just didn't realize it). For someone that has been playing on the Beer League settings to get acclimated to the mechanics, would it be wise to join the Special Events society?
Thanks.

I sure hope as many folks as possible play these exhibition events. Realizing Master level has not been played by most of the TGCT rank and file, the experience could be ugly at times but the data will help the Admin here make an informed decision about the future of TGCT. Having only played Master in the NFL Stableford rounds since TGCT changed to Pro, my play at Master has been less than stellar but enjoyable in a closer to par way (over par most of the time but that is the Vandelay Way). But I will give it my best and hope my efforts help with that tough decision coming up for the Admin here. Onward! Problem is Art, Master is simply not fun on the Xbox. And this is from someone who resisted the drop to Pro for longer than most. I can't speak for others but I personally have no interest in going back to banging my head against a wall. Really hoping the new game at least partially resolves the problem because in an ideal world I'd much prefer to play the harder settings. It's not even that it has to be the same as PS4/5 (although that would obviously be great!), it just has to be fair on Xbox. Even with the updates it just isn't. This! I played 1 round and that's more than enough for me. I have no interest in the torture of Master level on the Xbox. I hope they tweaked it enough on 2K3, but it seems pointless testing it on 2K1 if they have changed it. Surely better for that test to come in the first few weeks of 2K3? I'm sure that'll happen anyway. But I'm out already if we're staying on Master until 2K3 comes out. Really not any fun on Xbox, barring for a handful of strange people Better things to do with my time!

These exhibition events will be a pretty steep jump from beer league - but nothing stopping you from trying them out! Main difference is the jump from Pro swing to Master and the removal of the swing meter. Those will be the biggest challenges coming out of Beer League settings.

The grey miss is quite a bit larger with gold and even more so with purple clubs. It will be a similar thing with the new game as you can pile your points into tempo at the expense of other attributes. I know Xbox is a problem (though some Xbox players I have seen in streams are very very good on Master). But at least there is the option to play more forgiving clubs on Master if you struggle with tempo. An interesting observation from the a 2K 23 streams is that Apex still managed to hit -8 on PC with an Xbox controller on his first round on Pro difficulty and he is a PlayStation player.

Thanks....also wanted to make sure that it did not skew the numbers you are compiling. Wouldn't worry about that - if you want to jump in and give it a try by all means!

Going to go live on twitch with mine shortly (Hend0medes on twitch) if anyone fancies seeing how an Xbox guy gets on.
I've already stopped splashing from anywhere except bunkers in preparation for the new game so that may skew my numbers a little 😂

I am familiar with the XB plight, but giving TGCT the data from that struggle would help them don't you think? Yes it would be painful but what is the adage, no pain no gain? What's the point? There's a completely new game coming out in a few weeks. Once that drops I'll be all in testing on whatever settings are decided. I already know this version is awful on Masters settings for us Xboxers, and as CongoGB perfectly put I have far better things to do with my limited free time.

And actually I'm a little bit confused why Doyley wants to collect data on a game which will be obsolete in a few weeks anyway? Please tell me you guys still have the API...
