I am the OP. I meant no disrespect to TGCT for the changes to pro clubs. It made sense at the time and probably still does. I just was ranting that this 2K21 is just not fun and never had been at least compared to previous versions. I am hoping a new game comes out soon and they revamped the swing to something better. Personally for me TGC2 was the perfect swing difficulty. The game had its own issues but the swing and dispersion was spot on for online competition. It was a great that you have to choose a safe shot versus the risky shot. If you weren’t on it would mean big trouble. In this game with pro clubs I don’t even sweat it. Masters could be a touch ridiculous in the opposite way, in that it had no feel. A bad swing felt the same as a good swing.

I'd love to be able to play Masters on the Xbox. Tried it prior to the changes late last year and it was certainly a challenge but just leaning to the side of not so enjoyable. and then I find Pro a touch too easy at times but having turned some of the aids off I play all my casual rounds on TST settings and with the aim marker off. IMO the aim marker off just adds a touch more difficulty to the round. No grids is such fun esp. on the greens. Trying to read the break is always a great challenge. Also playing approach shots from uphill and downhill lies where some yardage is lost or gained tests your ability to "read" the fairway.
Would be good if HB/2K can level the playing field for the XBoxers however.
I started in CC-C this year but quickly lost the enjoyment as I was simply playing to make the cut. This in itself was a challenge but I would at least like to compete for a promotion mark now and then but seemingly as the year has bedded in now with movement up/down CC-C is even harder. It has become a little like playing darts and does not have any "feel" to the game like IRL.
My 2 cents worth!

I tend to agree overall. I'm not trying to discount all the discussion around the switch to pro clubs vs master and any other complaints people might have about the game because it's all fair to discuss but for me the issue of not wanting to play anymore is just a natural progression. Game's been out for a year and a half. It's no longer exciting enough to keep me playing 20 rounds a week across half a dozen societies.
I play almost exclusively team & individual live match events. It's still fun playing live online games. Grinding out solo rounds is a hard pass at this point. Once in a blue moon I play my tgc rounds but even to do that I need a really slow Sunday where I don't feel like playing anything else. I'm still in platinum due to my form in the past...NOT current form, so it's pretty much an inevitable missed cut which isn't all that appealing either.
It's just an old game that I've largely burnt myself out on. I'd have ended up at this point regardless of what the game developers did with the game and what TGCtours decided to do with their rules. As soon as a new game comes out it'll be wash/rinse/repeat.

Some of you need to stop moaning, I think some of you was born with a golden spoon in your mouth, I was brought up with 2d golf games on the zx spectrum and then was introduced to world class leaderboard on the commodore 64..an amazing game to this day and without it we wouldn't have games like links and this great game....we are now in a golden age of gaming like no other in the next few years, the graphics and playability of golf games and other games will be amazing going forward on the ps5 and that other console....stop moaning and either play or leave.

Lol 😂
Bit harsh but I kind of agree. At the end of the day the numbers playing these tours have been steadily increasing over the last couple of months so clearly someone is enjoying it? I don't play anything like the amount of rounds I used to for largely the reasons mentioned here, but that does mean I do still enjoy the rounds I play. If I didn't, I wouldn't play them! I'm just keeping my eye in and waiting for whatever the next installment brings. There's still so much to like about this game, despite the problems.

I don't think tgc took the fun from this game... that's all on 2k by not releasing another game and just making a few random swing adjustments, has really sent Tgc tours Ona rollercoaster

For 2K21 they needed to release a proper beta testing on the swing before release which could of solved the actual problems they introduced by bringing in the tougher tempo difficulties sooner rather than later. Also certain bugs not being fixed like leaderboards and the ball disappearing now and then at it's apex with fixed cam is inexcusable. Hopefully they learn from their mistakes, but for me 2K21 is a much much better game than 2019 warts and all so I am optimistic the next game will be even better.

There used to be a society that played by old school driver rules. It was on an honor system… but they implemented a policy of hitting nothing longer than a 3 wood. Really was a challenge for sure
It also used the master swing style.
