Serious answer for those asking. Yep, I really enjoy this. For me it's a different type of challenge to the normal TGCT fare. Well out of my comfort zone with the putting, thought I was getting there but these rounds proved I'm still just a little out on my judgement but hopefully it will come. The flagstick view has helped with the short stuff and I only missed one silly short putt. That's an improvement!! Baby steps!
Anyhow, first milestone achieved, under par at the cut that I'll obviously miss but under par nonetheless.

A morning of missed opportunities but, for me, progress.

First two rounds I played solid but still managed to throw in a bogey and miss a few easy putts.
-11 & -11 for -22 halfway

I also threw in a bogey(s) and missed a few easy putts  To be fair I had a practice round with grids on and still couldn't get -11!! The way you top lads play this format has me in awe. |

Dusk might not be the only reason. This course has burried trees everywhere, pretty sure. All this so designer can have even more uglier deep rough spots on sides of the faiways... |

So, -7, -10, -9 and -7. -33 total. I'm pleased with that, didn't feeled that course this week, had a bad feeling. Pretty bad putting in first 2 rounds (61% on medium putt ouch, corrected that to 78% total), I dunno how I managed to get away with -17 after 2 while putting so bad

I’m really sorry - this course has been used on Tour before and I playtested all rounds and didn’t have any lag, even though my PS4 is usually quite sensitive to that. |

I’m really sorry - this course has been used on Tour before and I playtested all rounds and didn’t have any lag, even though my PS4 is usually quite sensitive to that. It's alright. There seems to be so many ways lag can be created, you can't test everything |

1st season playing the TST Tour and thoroughly enjoying the challenge of trying to improve week to week. Things finally clicked last week with a comfortable made cut and solid finish. Be warned this week about 14 and 16. The slopes on the right side of those greens are absolutely brutal and if you miss right with a right side pin you’re dead.

Pretty happy with a -10 at the halfway mark. x4 bogeys on the card PLUS 3 or 4 short range putts and it could have been much better. That’s golf! Will it be enough? We shall see. Improving with each round and still really enjoying my debut TST season.  Good luck to all. EDIT: Found the course setup and conditions to be very fair across the opening 2 rounds. Enjoyed this far more than last week. I love Japan but I just did not "feel" the greens. |
