I think I might make my first cut in TST! Am holding my breath... "Shouting the bar" if it comes to pass. What's even more appealing is that I think I might still make it... but only just... even if the cut line was 65 + ties. Sweet! I am sitting directly below the estimated cut line, looks like it's possible it could come down one more stroke...keeping my fingers crossed.

Projected cut line has moved lower (-7), so I'm three strokes away.

-6, -5 for -11 through 2. Where have I seen this script before...
Can't buy a decent length putt no matter how hard I try. Have the breaks nailed down, I'm just either a bit too shy and don't give it enough respect or guesstimate it just a bit too much. Longest putt so far through the first 2 rounds stands at an impressive 10.6 feet, longest in round 2 was 6.5! A semi casual 12 birdies, 23 pars, 1 bogey despite all of that and tempo being all over the place... how do I even manage to put up decent scores?
Think this is just enough to get through. Almost managed to throw it away on the 16th, thankfully found one more birdie from the back pocket on the 18th to give me a bit more breathing room.

Unfortunately I think I'm cooked! Spoke to soon. Got a bit ahead of myself.
Just on the phone to the travel agent to make a tentative booking for a flight out to Mexico... arriba, arriba!

So -9 rd1 here I am in great shape, was cruising at -5 in rd2 until the wheels fell off on 16 with an 11, yes that’s +7 on one hole. That green and pin placement is brutal, I thru my clubs in the ocean and went home… see you guys next week….

See you next week in Mexico!

Some big numbers in TST this week. 181 at current count. Typically what's the highest sort of participation? Is 180 very high?

R4 was just bad all round. Combine lag, darkness and some dodgy sculpting on that course left a bit to be desired. Land just below the hole on the par 3 14th and not only did it slide off the green, it ran through the bunker and nearly into water…same thing on 16…

I read this earlier today so I played safely to the lhs of the pin on 14. Thought to myself - "thanks for the tip Brodie. What a @!$#in champ. I'll just lag this in now". Had a 9ft putt, 2 inches down so I took plenty off it.....still rolled off the green, through the rough, through the bunker finishing an inch from the water. That was rough especially without being able to see the beads. Anyway, I'm slowly starting to get the hang of this true sim stuff (other than the above of course) and am really enjoying the challenge. Finished -41 which is easily my best effort 3 weeks in from my true sim debut. I get why so many people like it now.

Finished up and I can now confirm that round 4 is NOT what I playtested... It will not happen again, I promise: Dusk is a no go from now on! Sorry for messing it up this week; I can only assume my actual conditions for round 4 playtest and my spreadsheet were not synced for this one.
Oh, maybe it will make you all feel better to know I suffered as well and only got it to -34 after being -22 at the cut.
Best wishes Frans

And nice score Same thing happened to me. Hit a dart pin high right that rolled an inch from the water. First splash gets to 5 feet and rolls back. 2nd splash 20 feet long. 2 putt double. Course knowledge is real!

My experience on that 14th round 4: hit an accidental grey slow and like 2% underpowered. Somehow stuck the fairway short, hit a splash shot to about 2 and a half feet so I can't miss, somehow walked away with par. Felt like that may have been the best outcome for that, only topped if I had actually sunk that splash in. After narrowly making it through the cut (having been tied for 79th with 11 other people at -11 with 188 people in the initial field), finished -8, -7 for a way better weekend than the early week for a -26 finish. Finally found a few lucky breaks on putts and found a way to limit my mistakes to just one bogey this week! Could be moving up a bit this time around (since I can't really go down much more), which would be very nice! Will take that any week, after a painful choke in CC this week this feels great. I'm actually looking at a better cuts made percentage after this week here than in CC, what priorities do I have? Cheers and good luck to you all! Actual footage of me trying to survive the cut this week:
