Lol. Turn-based is so buggy. Shame as it used to be a great fun way of playing. To be fair Luke, Nath and I have had our issues but this week was another level

fransslabak, Now knowing about the server issues on ps, the issues both Nath and I experienced make sense. On 1 hole in rd3 i believe, I either OB'd drive or something happened, anyway i was 190 yrds + from hole, 4th shot, par 4, I hit my shot it finished 4-8ft away on my screen, On Nath's screen I holed it for par, he was telling me to save it, so he saw a completely different outcome to me. So it all has to do with the server issues, we shall however find out next Sunday when we will tee up again.

Took a quick forced break, seems like everything's working just fine... So what's been going on with me? Well, after last week's event my virtual golfer went out to the casino. As he was drunkenly making his way around it, he tripped over a cord or something and hit his head hard. I'm sure that cord didn't affect anything, certainly not making anything unstable... Next thing he knows, he's waking up on a fishing boat in the Mediterranean, with no hope of ever getting out. So it's up to the virtual golfer's son, who had never played golf before to step up and go compete in his father's behalf. Went to grab the club set from the local airport since it was still there, and off to the course he went. Alternative side to this story is that I had PC issues midway through last week and only got back to action today. Wasn't even sure if I was able to get to play this week and that would have sucked if I hadn't since I set a goal to play all the events (that I'm eligible for) this season. Good thing that I was able to, because even though I had played just one round before these first two rounds in the last week and not having calibrated my swing so it was purely default, it went surprisingly well! Handicapped scores +1 and +4, actual scores -10 and -7 for -17 at the cut. Missed quite a lot of putts by oh so little, so with slightly better luck I could have been fighting at heights I had previously thought to be impossible for me! Hit fairways and greens better than I ever have, was that the secret all along?

I hate to say this guys but cut lines of 11 under is not sim especially now as master difficulty plays as well as it ever has after the tweak .The top of the leaderbaord after 2 rounds here are lower than the 4 round total winning scores on Matt's RGT on The Golf Club 1

Round 3: okay but started with a bogey and was thrown out by the servers, which ruined my rhythm: -9 Round 4: started with 8 pars, which could have easily been 8 birdies: -8
-39 for the week for me

TST is the best experience atm, but we’re getting Mickey mouse courses on plat, and the courses on CC so far are the other end of the spectrum (shot -78 and -79 last two weeks). We want master back!

And if you get rid of the awful marker I will play TST. I can't believe you still use it here. I can't even turn it off in this game if I play TST.

With the greatest of respect the courses on CC are set up so even duffers like me can have some fun. They're trying to cater for a massive range of abilities. They're certainly not aimed at Platinum players so why bother playing them if you're not enjoying them? As for Platinum courses, not a problem I'm ever going to face As for TST and Master level I have absolutely no issue if that decision was made, I'm no better at this at Pro than I was at Master because no matter what level the swing is I can't putt for sh1t!!

The thing is Ben that probably half the people that play this tour are now playing a tempo that is not suited to them. I love master difficulty and now it is not so brutally unforgiving. If I start hitting 30 to 40 under consistently the game is a bore to me and I'd move on. I don't want birdies to replace pars as that is not golf. The scores now for TST are crazy low and lower than they have ever been in 10 years, cut lines of 11 under, I mean c'mon now this is not sim. Actually we have hit a nice sweet spot with the master tweak but nobody plays that we here anymore so many are missing out. I used to worry about arcade ghost balls being used but this is more arcade than it has ever been. With the greatest respect to those running it, TST is losing everything it should be all about SIM.

This game is never gonna be a good simulator.
Hitting high roping short irons with maximum spin into a stiff breeze and being able to control your distance to the yard isn't a sim. Having the short game of Jesus Christ himself isn't a sim - When missing the green, the top players are holing out for birdie at a better rate that pro's are getting up and down! I can understand and even get behind top players saying the game is a bit too easy for them with these settings, but that has little to do with the simulation value of the game.
I dunno, maybe we mean different things when we say sim?

I dunno, maybe we mean different things when we say sim? So don't play splash out of rough, play fixed cam. I dunno play USE setting on Master and see how you get on then, at least you are not making the game unrealistically easier. And turn off marker for god's sake.

I appreciate looking at the scores that this is far too easy for many. It's not for me but there are plenty of places to go to enjoy my "game". This is not a golf club.....
