I'm a 15 mins per round player. TST and USE maybe 1-2 mins slower to look at hole map and stalk putts if I feel I need to. Perhaps that's why I'm a middle of the road Plat-Elite player and not up with the big boys. No course notes, green maps or grid counts....just a "feel" player. Wow. I'm really speed golfing to get a round done in 15-20 minutes. Mind you, I'm on Xbox so I'm probably taking an extra 15 shots per round! :-) Plus I have my thumb ready for the fast forward key after every shot. Real time play feels too much like slow motion. |

Though I really need to spend some time on my TST rounds to try to improve. |

Just like also to record my thanks to Doyley and the TGCT admin team who put so much effort in to give us the best place to play PGA 2K21. Worth absolutely every penny of my monthly sub. |

Thanks Doyley, might actually b able to play again and enjoy it, trying to work my way back up near to the top hopefully with abit of practice! First need to get out this elite division 😀 roll on the new season

I think that having distance on HOD only, if this affects putting is wrong. I cannot quite tell whether this is the case or not. BUT if it is the HUD distances can vary from more accurate info by up to 5 inches. This can make a huge difference to short/medium length putts.

I'm always confused with settings. As a CC player, is the marker distance supposed to be off? For me that makes the shot set up much harder. When I need a partial shot it's much harder to set the distance I want. Is this setting correct, or do I need to adjust something?

I think these setting are a great compromise. As sad as I am to see it go to pro (even as a middling CC player), as I enjoyed the challenge this will definitely bring some people back and will bring in a likely larger number of new players. I think the distances being in HUD only especially on the putting is a great add with the swing being much easier. The putting is a little trickier , but you really don't need the exact distances,the feel aspect is nice. Thanks again Doyley for all your efforts!

That was the point - moving tours to easier difficulty means tweaking other settings to at least make it more challenging. Yes, It is harder to judge distance on partials - but then again - you know how far you are to the pin - adjust for elevation and the green grid - each square is roughly 1 yard. So if you are 25 yards to pin - no elevation and have your 50 yard pitch club out - 25yds to pin - adjust back about 2-ish grid squares and fire away.. |
