I'm always confused with settings. As a CC player, is the marker distance supposed to be off? For me that makes the shot set up much harder. When I need a partial shot it's much harder to set the distance I want. Is this setting correct, or do I need to adjust something? That was the point - moving tours to easier difficulty means tweaking other settings to at least make it more challenging. Yes, It is harder to judge distance on partials - but then again - you know how far you are to the pin - adjust for elevation and the green grid - each square is roughly 1 yard. So if you are 25 yards to pin - no elevation and have your 50 yard pitch club out - 25yds to pin - adjust back about 2-ish grid squares and fire away.. Thanks, that's what I figured out. It just makes the shot set up take a little longer. Usually I just have the number in mind and set the marker to that distance.

K but why book only? You can figure out yardage by using clubs distance and squares on green grid just making it take longer to find a number that’s already there handy in the game. Unless there is a setting I don’t know about you don’t know how far up or down your the shot to the green is with book only, if I’m wrong please let me know and I apologize 👍. If anyone can tell me they know the difference between 30ft-100ft up or down I call bs. Reason is this could be a difference of being off by 20yrds which is huge. Yes I could practice but there’s another can of worms. The majority doesn’t have time to put in practice rounds. Leaving out up and down yardage is gonna be a crapshoot just like master difficulty is. Almost done lol. Not gonna get into it but lie grids off is pretty much the same as yardage up or down. Trust me your gonna here a lot of b%&ing about it I may be the 100th already. Asking opinions of people is great but the majority opinion might be people who have time and time for practice rounds. People like me don’t have time to give options like this which is the reason I’m doing this so late. Lol. Cheers keep up the good work👍

How to get elevation information: It's also posted in the Message of the Day in each society - have a look there too if you're already in-game.

Doyley Any consideration given to changing the 60% cut rule in CC to 65 players or 60%, whichever is greater? I know last season, there were occasions where 80 people or less played, allowing for 50 players or less made the cut. Just asking. Looking forward to having a lot more fun missing cuts in CC and TST!

Ok, settings are now official. Let’s get this season started! A couple of clicks of the mouse and we are done? I’m patient, just ready to go!

I think 60% was initially used when the tours were averaging closer to the ideal numbers.. but with the drop-off in participation, it was hard to make a cut - you basically had to be in the top 30..

Given there will be a lot of returning Beer League players (even me for now), is there any chance of a Qualifying Event for returning players before the season proper starts?

Finally I got my game back to a degree yesterday, shot -9 in the first round of the platinum exhibition, finishing with an eagle on 18. The front 9 was a bit up and down missing relatively easy putts but finished well with -7 on the back. I'm happy with the settings, yes the swing is much easier to nail perfect but the somewhat unknown elevation on par 4 and 5 tee shots makes up for it a bit.

No… first q school event will be the first week… we are holding off the first promo event until most people have a chance to qualify

Given there will be a lot of returning Beer League players (even me for now), is there any chance of a Qualifying Event for returning players before the season proper starts? Unfortunately no. Mainly because the site is undergoing a lot of coding and once it's done, we're looking to start up right away. The way the Qualifying is coded into the site, it's just easiest and the least complicated to keep it as is and run our first qualifying event during the first week of the season.

Simple case of read the instruction manual before you send it back because it doesn't work.
