Mayor of CC-C here. On PC and mouser for lyfe. Played round 1 of Bungalow Beach. -7. Have use most of these settings for most of last season except for marker only. I like marker only now, almost ready to ditch the marker completely for a cleaner screen (ditched shot feedback a long time ago, well have distance only as I do relish the numerical feedback on drives, don't care about slow or fast as I feel that anyway). Here is my screen on the first tee in round 2: Pretty clean, and that shot feedback thingy is only there because I have to ctr+shift+c to take the screenie. Otherwise it is not there when I play. Must admit I am thinking about ditching the shot feedback icon. Does look rather unsightly. The clearer screen is certainly a plus. If only you could get rid of your mouse pointer when you play. Oh, you can, use a controller

CC test event at Bungalow Beach.... Even par for round 1. Didn't mind the UI off for the scout cam but as coggin66 & SkyBlueBen mentioned; the course is pretty flat throughout. At first I struggled with the putting being marker only as I'm so used to setting the distance (especially downhill) & waiting for my controller to vibrate on the pull back before initiating the forward stroke but as with the no lie grid test previously it felt more realistic & I can appreciate why some players just use "feel" when on the greens. I'm happy to play Q-School & hopefully grab a CC card with whatever settings are in place so long as it's Pro difficulty.

The carry distance on clubs is still there in the top right like it always was. Even with the distance showing on the aim marker it doesn't tell you how far it'll fly depending on wind, elevation change etc. It's not really that different to me other than no elevation info on shots that won't reach the green. I guess I'm just used to looking at my marker and not setting it up in the hud correctly for my carry distance but still after playing the 2nd round I can't say that enjoyed myself at all and it still felt hit and miss and not something I'd enjoy playing So am I, but you don't have to set up the HUD to get carry distance for whatever club you're using, it's already permanently there above the name of the club. The HUD settings just turn on or off the distance and elevation to the pin below that grey box, like in that screenshot old mate posted above. On a par 3 all the same information is still available, it's just in a different spot. The difference is just no elevation info on tee shots on longer holes. I didn't check today but I wonder if that is there when you hit the circle button that brings up the overhead view of the hole, I'll have a look next round. It probably isn't but yeah. I don't mind it, it's less "arcadey".

Ya know...you can drop the aim marker altogether for an even cleaner screen. After all, the aim marker is in line with the wind indicator. So in a sense you cut down your aim markers to one. Just sayin'.

With marker off you can actually move the marker towards you to slow down backswing but it is invisible I have real trouble in bunkers when the marker is not set at full distance. I expect the slower backswing but then almost always find myself hitting a red fast and duffing the shot from the sand. My second shot always seems much better but I'm not sure the tempo has changed. Any tips for the slower backswing shots. Does it require a slower forward shot? Hard to attain when normal shot tempo feels a bit faster than what would be required for the example above. Thanks To 'reset' the club distance quickly (to remove the slow backswing) - I have switched clubs to next one up then back down - this resets the 'intent' marker to the full club length - swing is then the normal speed.

Like when you know you missed a putt cause you did hit at 32% when 33% was needed. But you slowly develops bad habits without realising what's going on. When I turned that sh%$ ON again 3 days later, I discovered I was now driving at 91% with an horrible swing plane! 😂

So Beer League is going to force the same daft aiming system too? Please leave somewhere to go for those of us who want to aim the way we have for the last 7 seasons. In my opinion, if ain't broke, don't fix it. Tempo between platforms is broken. Nothing else is. I agree with you there Ken. The Beer League could perhaps be set up with the same settings that 2K21 has in online play as an introductory step to TGCT and players could then step up to the more difficult set up in the main tours if they so wished. If they are keeping the beer league one step below CC then that makes perfect sense. All 3 tiers of Pro, CC and Beer should all be Pro settings with each tier tweaked a little to add some difficulty.

Jeez how easy do you guys want it ?? Exactly, they might as well make Amateur settings for all. Master to Pro was a huge drop to begin with. That alone is more than enough…..Tweaking some things for each tier is all they need to do and set it up, be firm with their decision so we can play some practice rounds in whatever Tier we are in prior to the season opener.
