Oh btw, please don't use book only for yardages, it is already mentally draining to play, that is just overkill, I don't want to add 30-60 min to figure that stuff out, it is brutal, I stopped playing the current practice tourney on platinum after 3 holes, it is not good because it just takes time to figure out and how do you figure out elevation, I don't know how to read the book elevation, it looks the same for every hole.

Go to settings, and in the Display & HUD menu choose “In HUD”. It’ll then give you elevation and distance to hole in the top right section of the screen.

I dont know how to get that bigger forgiveness zone through calibration, it should be removed or explained to all how to get the biggest zone. Biggest calibration technique for PS4 with Huge rounding for PRO Settings is Wired!, No Calibration, like when you first booted up the game. Most people will need to create a new account, and it's very quick and easy to do (crazy long link ^):

I really think you have now shared your tips on calibration enough times and in enough places, haven’t you? Can we now please move on to playing the game and having a nice season 8? I, for one, will just use my old account, won’t change my calibration nor clubs, and will just focus on enjoying this golf game.

fransslabak Having a bad day? You realize that AP had just made a post saying he doesn't understand calibration. I'm really scratching my head over your response man. Complete nonsensical.

Honestly, I think Frans is probably just scratching his head at the fact you have a workaround or technique for almost everything, and aren’t scared to link it 😂 You playing tours, at any level nowadays? I’m off the pace.

I've actually been playing nothing but BF4 in preparation for BF 2042!!!!
I haven't played a round since my -20 on Black Salt Valley video through 17 holes ^^ (Tgct Plat R1 settings). Most likely I won't be playing any golf until the new EA Golf game drops. If I do change my mind and fire 2K21 up again, once you've got everything mapped and charted out, including putting formula's, nothing changes and you pick up right where you left. Speaking for myself, it doesn't take any practice to score extremely well.

The fact you liked your own post there is so cseannyLooking forward to 2042 myself. Hope it’s solid and true to BF past gameplay principles.

Hi Sean, Sorry for not responding earlier - yesterday was a bit hectic but not a bad day. Thanks for asking though! Yes, I realize that you were responding to a post. I also realize that my post could have, and maybe should have, been more elaborate and more eloquent. I should have explained more clearly that my post wasn't about blaming you for responding to a direct question/request; it wasn't. It was a - not so well-written - message trying to express my worries/me being annoyed about the impact of continuously promoting calibration techniques and more to gain a competitive advantage. To me, that is not what a golf game on a console/pc and this community is about. Then again, I also understand that this might actually be exactly what a golf game on a console/pc and a platform like TGCTOURS is about to others. Some of us want to approach it as a (flawed but enjoyable) simulation of golf, others approach it as an interesting mathematical challenge. And I guess what I was trying to say is that your posts might contribute to widening that divide. Then again, to be fair, my post could have the exact same effect. Anyway, that's the background for my earlier post. Hope it makes sense. Best wishes, Frans

Preferred swing for Platinum? Does it show you who voted for what? Would be curious how many pro votes were plat players.

Im a platinum player and i voted pro as before season 7 started as did a lot of my friends who have stopped playing tgct. The settings i put forward were nearly identical to what they are now with the exception of lie grid. I play masters in other societies and have played 80% of season 7 on masters but thats about it. I learnt early on that the ps4 was just broke compared to other systems and that the other platforms had a significant disadvantage and the tour needed a change but hey ho we get there in the end!

I voted pro, but prefer master. Long time plat / TST player. It needed to change.

I didn't vote because I shouldn't be here in the first place.
What I will say is that TGCT had to change for the greater good. They had to look at the bigger picture.
What I would suggest is that as most of the top Platinum players are obviously on PS4 the simple solution for you all is to grind your TGCT rounds at Pro (as I did last season at Master) and get together and set yourself up a Society with Master level and whatever settings you see fit and you can carry on locking horns with the best at your preferred level. Takes 10 minutes to set the course up each week so very little effort needed.
