I've got that in my hanger but a glance at the manual I got the impression you had to mess about your settings so I haven't bothered trying it yet and it's collecting dust. It does say to change the throttle settings. I went to the page shown in the manual but I didn't have the options he did probably because I'm on a controller so I just backed out and flew it without changes. It flies ok but its different, very different. Would probably be a lot easier with a joystick..which I'm looking at getting soon. I tried things with a controller and it's just weird. Joystick or yoke is definitely the way to go. |

Here's a shot over the tip of Cape Cod on my way up to Portland, Maine. This is the flight I forgot about the gas and ended up in the Atlantic. After that failed attempt, I made up there only to find out the airport is a tiny grass runway with no lights at night and crashed on landing. I've been mostly flying around New England and the Northeast US. Haven't flown anything except a couple Cessna's. Neofly has been really cool for giving some purpose to flying around, I'm enjoying it so far. Still figuring out some of the stuff (like not insuring your plan...).  |

If your using default settings you can click in the left and stick to bring the menu up and refuel your aircraft in flight. I think it’s done by clicking on the dumbbell weight icon |

Just a note to let everyone know World Update 6 hits today around noon eastern.
As well as some bug fixes and graphic improvements.
I wasn't playing this game when W5 came out, got it shorty after. I hear its good to clean out your community folder to decrease chances of things going wrong. People usually just rename it. The game automatically creates a new one if there isn't one detected. Then after the update you start game up, make sure everything is fine then you can close, rename your old community folder and hope all works well.

Like the apps we have that work with the iPAD, 3rd party free add on's etc though apparently the new series S/X has simconnect but I've no idea how it works on XB. |

They don’t come with the base game so I don’t count them as options, I can use those apps or web based apps on my iPad just the same only they’re not integrated into the game. In the base game the only options I see that aren’t on Xbox are to do with resolution of your screen we can only do 4K HDR we can’t turn our resolution down to get better frame rates. |

I love being able to go out and get a plane, airport to add value to my game for free. There are some very talented individuals out there prepared to share their work for free and enhance my experience. I have a Mig 15 to zip around in, it's great fun and the creator made it available to the community for no cost. What's not to like? I like my trains and racing games as you know and they also benefit greatly from mods. |

I’ve been down the PC route years ago admittedly it was windows 98 through to windows ME at the time, I used to build my own but it got to expensive upgrading every 6 months to keep up with current games plus getting the right drivers for your hardware, windows 10 certainly helps. The price of some of the top graphics cards to enable you to play even TGC at a decent frame rate is prohibitive don’t get me started on what you would need to play flight sim at good FPS and high graphics settings. Add to that a decent monitor setup makes it a no for me.

Ben, where do you download mods for this game? Is it through the steam workshop for the game or a 3rd party website? I've been thinking about purchasing MSFS on steam and if I'm able to install mods through steam that will make my mind up to purchase it. I have so many mods on other sim games that I play.
I currently own the free version of this game through Xbox game pass for PC. |

I flew that Italian jet for the first time it wasn’t to bad and I did manage to land it but once i came to a stop I had no idea how to turn the engines off and everything else to end the flight.
