I’m just off to Shetland in my trusty Cessna 152 who needs autopilot when you get the aircraft trimmed right.

I must admit though the app that Tim found that you can use on the iPad is fantastic when you want the autopilot, or even if you just want a map to see what you're flying over.

Was going to come in here and talk about my golf rounds and nothing else. But I have no golf to talk about. lol Yesterdays MSFS excursions had me tangle with real life history. I was never a fan of my name CPT Red Fast. Just didn't work for me. Being a fan of this small unknown band from the 70's (Led Zeppelin) had me wanting to have my name involving them somehow. My Steam GT of Physical Graffiti is too long for the Xbox gamer tags that we are now stuck with thanks to cross play. Knowing Zeppelin had their own Boeing 720 jet I thought hey lets see what I can do with that. So I googled and researched and found the call sign for the plane they used. It was called The Starship and the call sign was N7201U. Turns out this plane was Boeing's 1'st 720 made. It was also used by Deep Purple, Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper and Peter Frampton. So in Flight Sim world I am now known as N7201U. Can't believe this GT wasn't taken given it's history and all. No #45587 barf next to my username. I actually found a Starship livery that can be used in game but it's weak, colors are off and text is too small. www.thisdayinaviation.com/tag/n7201u/Actual pictures, not in game lol My other adventures have me now doing manual checklists. They are super easy to do and fun if you are into the procedures of flying and learning what all those buttons do. Spent most my day parked at a gate at Toronto's Pearson International in the A320 doing my preflight and startup routines, requesting ground services, taxi clearance, taxiing and take off. All according to procedure.

Must admit I've spent far too much time adding to my aircraft collection lately but I've printed the manuals out and will sit down sometime and learn the nuts and bolts of flying them.

I'll be buying a new plane today or two. See what is new in the market place.

I can’t he arsed with all that pre flight checklist I just want to be in the air, I very rarely use autopilot as well I do my fair share of ripping around myself without the evil auto pilot lol Once I find myself getting tired of that I gravitate towards the other stuff. I like the procedure and stuff. And enjoy jetliner flights-speed up through the cruising then back to normal speed for my crash landing. lol Think I'm going to do some of those landing challenges to practice a bit.

The Just Flight Piper Arrow's are supposed to be very good. On my shopping list. (Not the one of the marketplace from Carenado, that's not supposed to be so good).
