Ah screw it I'll go for it then.
Downloading it now as I type.
Next hour I'll tolerate the throttled bandwidth and slow website loading.
edit
what a brutally long 35 gig download. Nearly done. Jesus.

Big download? I've done the Steam part but haven't started MSFS yet as I don't want to commit my computer to the update and not be able to do anything else. About 35GB I think Tim. I haven't touch Flight Sim in about 6 weeks and my update is 104gb. I'll see you in the skies in 1 week after it downloads 😃

That’s not as bad as it seems as I have the flying part set to hard throughout it’s just a few other things I had to change.

I gave up on downloading the update 🤬 After 18hrs it was at 75% complete and I wanted to play some other games so I paused the update. I turned it back on 2 1/2 hrs later and the bloody stupid download was back at 35% so I said screw this and stop the whole update. At some point I will try again. I don't know why but downloading either in game or from the Microsoft Store takes so long compared to Steam or the Playstation store.

Yippee, I've finally been able to download the update. This Crash Test Pilot will once again be in the sky but only for a brief period .

I'm officially back in the air...eventually. Bought the Reno Expansion pack rather than the full one for 79 CDN. This one cost 25 CDN.
Hope this pack is enough to do the full Reno races thing....after I learn to fly again.
Waiting on download to finish..and install. See I have a bunch of stuff in my content manager that needs updating too. Will do that at a later time. Don't want to be downloading all day.

Not tried the air races but have the same pack as you Tim. I've just bought a bit of software called Flight Control Replay which allows to record your flights and view them from the various camera angles. Fancied it to look at my landings from outside for instance.

Fancied it to look at my landings from outside for instance. I've got that but never could figure it out. Rather to get it to work consistently. There were a couple times I was able to get it and view my landings. Other times I must have fudged the set up. Where you click live play or whatever it was. It's kind of cool though because you can do a rewind and try again once you get it set up and running right.

Seemed reasonably straightforward. Will try recording a full flight tonight.

This game is like the golf. I've forgotten everything.
And some weird stuff. Can't change the time or weather on the fly like I could before.
Done with it for the day, have real life stuff to attend to but back in tomorrow I suppose and try and relearn it all over again.

How did I not know it was also Microsoft Boat Simulator? Loving the boats for a change of pace. Just need trains now!!! So, while we're sleeping, since when does Microsoft have a boat simulator? I'm already in my 2nd year of college programming and I'm also doing an application that's related to boats, and I usually use this source edubirdie.com/dissertation-help to get dissertation help, besides if I had known this simulator existed I wouldn't have needed this help. Thanks.
