fadgewacker dansamp said it well. PS5 is backwards compatible with PS4 controllers, so both take advantage of 250Hz (wired).

dingersinger Where you be!!! Share your secrets you dirty PS user! PollingPoints He uses DS4 wired for drives/approaches and uses PS5 (wireless?) controller for putts, chips, and splashes. I'm not sure about Pitches. PS5 controller usb is at 250Hz as well, however I don't own one, therefore I cannot confirm/deny whether or not a PS5 controller is capable of L/R edges. You do need to ensure your settings are set to USB cable though, and not bluetooth. Just saying, if your settings state bluetooth and you also have a wire plugged in, you're still playing Bluetooth.

You do need to ensure your settings are set to USB cable though, and not bluetooth. Just saying, if your settings state bluetooth and you also have a wire plugged in, you're still playing Bluetooth. After playing PS5 (edit: wireless) for the last several months, I began using DS4 wired for all of my full shots last week after learning about the PS4 calibration method from Cseannys youtube channel. I have the L/R perfect edges calibrated and selected most of my clubs so that this allows me to hit perfects with these clubs while using a significant amount of shot shaping. These shots are most of my drives approaches and splashes, and some of my pitches and chips. Because I haven't used my DS4 in almost half a year, it feels pretty weird so I just use my DS5 (edit: wireless) for any partial shots and putts of significance (under 10ft I'm usually too lazy to switch). Partial pitches are one of my most used shots in short game, and having the better vibration in DS5 is key for those. Also I find partial distances very inconsistent for DS4, not sure if that's to do with 250 hz or what. After making all of these changes, I improved my results from 4th place last week to... 4th place this week. Turns out no controller will prevent me from choking after leading at the cut.Â

Playing USB wired with a Dual Sense controller and moderately forgiving clubs (277 driver, etc.) I have three points in the perfect. Center, left-edge, and right edge.

All this stuff tells me is that the Tours are on the wrong difficulty level. Even within the PS community some have an advantage because they've found the right trick with controller and calibration. The whole thing is a bit of a farce at the moment.

Imo PGA 2019 flick/push-pull were no where near as game breaking or imbalanced as the current PS4 wired L/R calibration is. Seriously man, up to doubling the size of ones perfect tempo is insane. TGCTs should consider making it an API fail. After all, it's hitting the exact same points the vast majority of the time. It wouldn't be hard to police imo.
Then again, I'm an Arcade enthusiast at heart so I've never had a problem using any technique that doesn't break the rules in place. So yeah, it's definitely game breaking, but if HB won't/can't fix it, and if the Tours choose not to act on it, then by all means, have at it. In the meantime I'll be putting up a new video in a few days demonstrating the precise, step-by-step method for acquiring a PS4 wired L/R calibration. After all, not everyone knows how to do it, so this way, at least more people will be on the same playing field.

I don't have any way of confirming this, but from what I hear and see, it seems bigger than the perfect tempo window on Pro on XB lol.

Is this something I could do with an XB controller?

This levels the playing field by how? Having thousands of BS oops I meant PS (who go to great lengths to gain advantage) players using this method which creates some kind of Vortex, sucking in Xbox and PC players controllers making all systems equal. Thank the lord. Finally a level playing field on Tgctours after 2.5 years. Disclaimer: This post is my lame attempt at getting some laughs. Weak effort at best.

I personally have no issue using this technique at present, like Sean said it is not against any rules currently. Some of the best players have been benefiting from this technique for much of the season and I would rather avoid playing at a disadvantage moving forward. However as a former red faster, this certainly feels more like cheating than that ever did. I think Hb and or TGC would benefit a lot from addressing this in some way, whether through API or other methods.

I'm talking about a PS4 technique and PS4 players. They all deserve to play on equal footing do they not? Why should only 5 to 10 guys know how to do it but the other 3,000+ PS4 dudes are clueless.
edit: @koop gatorman To my current knowledge it only works on PS. There is a brave Xbox Airborne Ranger who has purchased an adapter so they can use a PS4 controller with their Xbox, which in theory, should work. We'll find out soon enough.
