Gotta love the timing, too.
With 8(?) plus years of observation and endless amounts of feedback provided to the TGCs, no excuses why this game doesn’t give the people what they want.
Golf game wars!!!

Visually it looks great. But I have no hope for that game, especially without a designer

That’s how golf games can look! It’ll be great for career mode whilst here will be great for variety and societies. If EA have a course designer too… could be interesting. I’ll buy it either way for sure, had every EA golf game since 1999 so no plans to stop buying them!

I bet it doesn't look that good on release or you will be looking at an RTX 4090 with DLSS 3 to run it 😉. Does look excellent though and would love to see some proper Ray Tracing in a golf game. Will have to be great for me to buy, but if it has a good sim mode and quality realistic tournament play, I might well do. EA ya b'stards why did you have to go and release it on PC 😆

Wonder if is next gen only and no PS4 or XB1 version, as that will help derermine how good it could look.
EA however don't exactly have the greatest reputation of content in Golf and will probably only have the Major courses and a dozen more at launch and that will be it until we pay for DLC courses.

Guarantee fescue will be a proper texture too!

EA's game is going to be available on PC: From the link, I like this: EA might also be inviting a comparison to PGA Tour 2K23 because the publisher believes it’s a favorable one. I’ve spent the past few days playing a review copy of the latter game, and while it’s no slouch in the graphics department, this peek at EA’s upcoming effort appears to be a cut above 2K Sports’ latest — there’s a level of richness and polish here that immediately caught my eye. For instance, the clubhouse at Augusta National has a heft that makes it look like a proper building; the structures on many of the courses in PGA Tour 2K23 look like cardboard cutouts by comparison.

EA is very good at creating teaser videos with cut scenes that hype the game more than it deserves.
Madden and Battlefield players know this all too well.
Just sayin'

That trailer means absolutely nothing regarding the game, not sure how you can think otherwise. That ain't gameplay footage.

Probably the result of only focusing on next gen. Plus it’s a trailer. Some of us will probably appreciate HB offering previous gen come April when we can’t find any available consoles. Gotta love the little digs at HB with the words chosen and the timing. Referencing who “built” a course, the “only” place, etc. People forget that HB jabbed at Rory with its TGC marketing materials back in 2014.
