Welcome to Stony Creek GC.
This Mike Strantz inspired Par 73, 7309 yard Championship Course is set in Virginia.
The rugged terrain is contrasted beautifully with wide fairways which add forgiveness, but also strategy to the course. Stony Creek rewards the brave, offering plenty of options for heroic shots that you will certainly remember forever.
Enjoy!

These are such awesome looking edits for the course. Can't wait to give it a play!

Standing on the first tee as I write and am completely blown away by the visual presented before me.

All I can say is this is one of the most beautiful designs in-game. I've always loved Altamira but this now sits atop the tree. Thoroughly enjoyable and very replayable. Instant 5-star classic. Good luck in the comp and thanks for designing. Note... I think Mike Strantz would be thrilled to have Stony Creek GC join his stable of courses

Good job on this. A high bar to chase. Glad to see some nods to some of the lesser known Strantz courses, eg Tot Hill and Stonehouse. I came a cropper of the false front on 12. Took 4 to get out of the bunker then putted straight back into it…

Favourite course of the comp so far. Holes 14,15 and 17 the most "fun".🙂

One word - stunning! Although there is also something to be said for a few of those fairways - unique!
Loved the 4th, such a wild hole, and if the 11th isn't the prettiest par 3 in the game I'll eat my hat. Pared the 17th even though I hit the green three times...

By a mile my favourite of yours. Just loved it (and I don't tend to like the Strantz stuff all that much). It was really cool to see you fully buy into the big land movements to create really interesting shots and hole designs. I think the 6th-8th is the strongest stretch of golf you've ever built - those three holes are just really, really good. Also, that water plane work on the third is so damn impressive, as are so many of the big views etc etc.
So yeah, I really hope this one does well. Doubt you need my hopes though!

Ya this is good stuff right here, I echo everyone to post in here so far, very classy course mate!
I played all four pins and had a really fun time doing so. I said it before, I don't wish design philosophy to always be this way, but there is definitely a place for the Strantz style IMO.
I sincerely hope you do well in the contest! It would be quite ironic if the knuckleballer of architecture won the Cy Young Award.

Great job ChriZzcE,
I think you really captured the quirkiness of Mike Strantz. Each hole you never know what to expect. Awesome job with the environment.....your best yet (IMO).Good luck in the competition.

As I stood on the first tee, I could see those 3 bunkers on the second hole that looked like 3 love hearts. Well I loved this course man! Excellent plantings, wonderful routing and undulations/elevation changes, and a great variety of green shapes and sizes. Well thought out and scenic. Great work.
Congrats and best wishes for the NT contest. Cheers
