If you look at the low numbers on PC and probably not groundbreaking numbers on consoles. EA will drop their golf game. Hopefully the sales of 2K23 are close to 2K21 so we have another HB golf game. HB golf games warts and all have improved with every game imo. HB/2K will have another golf game...100%. They hired away two of EA's top devs, too. Do with that what you will... As long as they don’t ‘f’ with the game mechanics too much then hopefully some continued improvement is made. |

I think one thing EA has accomplished with this effort is to allow HB/2k to continue using Unity. Some people like EA's game I found it wanting. If they hit it out of the park 2k might have been forced to upgrade the engine but this game didn't do it. Their 10 year old game is better than this.

The Patch 9 released yesterday has really pissed off a lot of EA Golf players. They changed things that didn't need changing, didn't fix or add anything the player base has been asking for, still no crossplay. I haven't been able to get an online match since he patch dropped. The prevailing thought is EA is trying to kill off their own game by forcing players away so they can just drop it citing lack of a player base.

Totally agree, I bought the game, I have played about 80 hours, I may even play some more, but it is hands down the worst golf game I have ever played.. Especially considering the fanfare and next gen only hype, the game is too easy, and the ball physics still make me laugh out loud. The 2k games are all far from perfect, but feel way more like golf. |

I uninstalled it just could get along with it worst patch since game was released trust me ,
& ive played since launch, badly needs crossplay being a p.c player as daily/weekly tourneys not as many players nowadays wheras on xbox/p.s it still has an abundance of players
for example on p.c you try & find a multiplayer game unless its the right time of day you wont find a match wheras consoles not as much of a problem
i can see in the future EA will stop patches on p.c altogether, which will be sad as unlike 2k where you can get a match nearly instantaneously EA you cant
but EA game is more fun to play with m8s

So the game is now 8 months old. Has TEN, count 'em TEN patches. No turn based play, no crossplay, crashes, disconnects, menus still slow as molasses, devs change things no one asked to be changed, have not fixed or added anything players have asked for. Sad, had the bones of a good game.

Did they ever make it so you can change the number of rounds in career? 4 rounds was too much.

So you can now either play 1 round events or 4 round events. They also still have the "Quick Play" option where you play a few holes each round and the AI simulates the rest. |

Think I may reinstall. New pc eager to how it performs. Was using a 4790k and gtx 980 when this came out. Now I'll be able to max graphic settings. Looks to be a good time to revisit this game |
