The myCareer mode in 2k23 is hot garbage. It aims for realism in using real courses and real sponsors, but then you find yourself in contention with LPGA players. Nothing like the excitement of coming down the stretch of the Waste Management Open against Brooke Henderson. EA has a chance to put out a much better product in terms of career presentation. Just finished the BMW Championship. I was nearly 2,000 points ahead of Brooke Henderson going into the St. Jude. She won both events to gain 4,000 points. I finished third at -5, 2 behind Seamus Power and 12 behind....you guessed it. What a joke. |

Very Surprising to me to see Justin Patel (Design leader on EA Golf)Leave EA to become senior game designer at 2k...i wonder if he is working on the Golf if he is hoping for a better single player career mode going forward in 2k,but also could be a little concerning as well.

From what I have heard, he is a part of the 2K golf dev team now. |

I really don't get this love for Anthony Kyne, I found him to be quite arrogant on the HB Forum. If he had his way we would all be playing on one swing difficulty and there would be no option to lock off any grid in the game. |

I don't know if that's a question that could be answered just yet. EA has said they aren't releasing a new golf game annually, and that this current game is also following the "live service" model. But it's obviously a huge coup for 2K to get the guy who led the gameplay, golf course, and presentation design of the rival game, and was part of EA golf game development dating back to Tiger Woods 12. |

In my own head where things go perfectly, I imagine Patel got pissed off about the lack of course designer function at EA and their reluctance to resurrect it. Made contact with 2k and said “your single player career sucks, hire me and I’ll sort that out so you have a complete game” |

The thing is he led the gameplay and that's the biggest worry of all. To me EA PGA Tour's gameplay is awful, the physics are iffy to say the least also. 2K might get a better single player experience but since Tiger 14 gameplay has actually gone backwards in EA's golf games. The Golf Club has a much better putting mechanic than any golf game this guy is part of, a little indie game from 2014. Hard to get excited about this at all as I can't see this guy actually being part of improving gameplay. I am a bit worried also about 2K dropping the CD as this will be curtains for this golf franchise if that happens. He has never had a CD in any golf game he has been part of. |

nice to see that EA are supporting the game really well i for one hope the game gets more support i enjoy playing both games and have no bias both have good and bad points
