Looks really solid Kenyon. I've just deleted the ninth plot for my entry - can't ever stick with an idea lol.

SkinniePost how do I beat that? Seriously? Lol, only kidding. Although I can't see any courses topping that... yet.

Jeez, how are you guys getting these out so quickly? Mine will probably be out in a week or two. If you’ve ever been in Portland when it snows and see the city lose all forms of functionality, you would understand why I had a lot of time last week. oh hey, we're in the same town lol. Was a fun week, got a lot of course work done

SkinniePost how do I beat that? Seriously? Lol, only kidding. Although I can't see any courses topping that... yet. IMO this isn't a competition where you're trying to beat somebody else. Instead, use the design league to improve your own skills by refining a sculpting technique, working with a new planting scheme/course theme, and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone while getting helpful feedback from other designers. If you've really scrapped 9 plots...why not get one to the finish line for the first contest and then get valuable feedback? The pursuit of great shouldn't be the enemy of good. I mean come on...we all know Kenyon's just going to spend 20 hours converting an autogen course into a passible submission anyways so whatever you've put a lot of time into is probably worth getting feedback on at some point.

I've got an idea now I think I can stick to. Definitely not trying to win though!

Really cool seeing all these courses coming together everyone, keep it up!!! On a side/personal note, this will be the one contest where there might possibly be a little bit of a longer delay with judging/getting the next contest up. I'm in WCoD and trying to prioritize finishing that. I won't be entering any contests for a bit after that so I'll be able to dedicate much more time to Design League. All I ask is for just a bit of patience. When I say extra time, I'm talking maybe an extra week to get this contest judged and the next one up. Also not sure if it's been mentioned or not yet, but these contests are meant to be fun and casual!

I'm wayyyy too sweaty to not be overly competitive in these situations myself.

Yeah I threw some ideas in my head out on this. It’s helped me a bit in a competition through Facebook I’m in. Also kind of hurt because it made me rethink some things and now I’m struggling picking that course back up because I’m adjusting my approach. Haha One thing I did purposefully that’s subtle but if people notice I’d like feedback on is I made all the lines from surfaces to other surfaces messy. The Sand traps being jaggedly are obvious but I also made the fairway to rough and fringe to fairway lines messy on purpose. I want to know if that look relays to someone playing Ir if it just looks like I was messy with my splines. (Which is funny because they were done with brushes over the spline lines)
