Hello everyone, and welcome to another season of Design League!
This season will run a lot like last season. Depending on the contest you will get a month, to a month and a half to create a course, usually 4-8 holes. These are meant to be fun and casual, and you do not have to enter each contest. Each contest will have it's own set of requirements, and they are meant to help you grow as a designer, and to try new things!
You will notice below this post are comments for each of the upcoming contests. This is where you will find contest requirements specific to that contest, as well as the list of completed entrants. This is also where contest results will be posted.
Rules - no file sharing with other designers/players - no seeking out design specific advice (if you have questions, or need clarification on contest requirements that is fine) - no extensions - streaming/WIP posts are allowed and encouraged! - no starting on the contest course until the contest has been announced - anyone can enter - zero tolerance for any abuse directed towards other contestants or judges, helpful criticism is completely fine, but anyone crossing the line will not be eligible for future contests
- once your course is completed, post in this thread and you will be added that contests roster
- THIS IS MEANT TO BE FUN AND CASUAL
Judging
- Judging will be made by a judging committee, no rubrics. Just like the contest itself, we want this to be fun and on the lighter side. - There will be a 2 week judging window in between contests. *If this window is longer it will be posted in the thread* - Every completed entrant will receive points.
- THIS IS MEANT TO BE FUN AND CASUAL!
Scoring
1st place - 50 points 2nd place - 40 points 3rd place - 35 points 4th place - 30 points 5th place - 25 points Top 10 - 20 points Entrant - 15 points
Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but the main aim is this is to have a fun, casual, low stress, design/contest experience. We expect to have a wonderful mix of new designers as well as some folks who have been around a while. Let's have a great season!!!

Judging
- Judging will be made by a judging committee, no rubrics. Just like the contest itself, we want this to be fun and on the lighter side. - The scoring system will be updated here in a few days, with the points system clearly laid out. Check back for updates. It will be very similar to last season. - There will be a 2 week judging window in between contests. - Every completed entrant will receive points.

Do we have to add our names to a list for this overall or for each round?

Thanks for getting this one started Matty. I joined last year for the last event and really enjoyed the small/consumable nature of the contest. Looking forward to this.

I've been working a lot on building skill building holes, as I follow many of the tutorials in the Youtube Design tutorial threads. I believe I've gotten a lot better over the past months, so excited to see the changes in this first contest. Loving the small plot requirement for this first contest, as I was pondering building a very tightly routed course, in a small space. Thanks in advance to all the organizers, judges and good fortune to all the competitors! I'm looking forward to learning, growing and celebrating the fantastic ideas that come of here!

Can you calrify if there's any specific items for this contest the judging will be based on outside of the normal good sclupting? Obviosuly routing and playability in tight corridors will play a factor as well, but if there's anything else specificly you are looking for us employing when designing this.
