So far... So you’re going for the Brickyard Crossing feel inside Pocono raceway. Got it.

Holes are done and now just need to plant the bloody thing.

Considering entering this... Silly question here.... I thought the minimum number of holes you could publish was 9? The judges will search for the exact name you post here, once the publish windows opens. Just a heads up if this wasn't clear: the publish window is the entire length of the contest. You may publish anytime between the contest opening and the deadline.

Back to working on my Design League entry, but wanted to jot a note here for anyone who has time to help a designer out. I stepped out of WCOD alternate contest due to conflict of interest. That said, I've posted a preview of what was to be my WCOD alternate design and would appreciate any feedback you might give. Name of file in game: nvgc123456 (you'll know, as the thumbnail is half of a sheep's face) Post with more details: tgctours.proboards.com/post/631347Thanks in advance and now back to my "entry" here.

Got another entry in the works. This time I went a little crazy with rugged hills in the background. First hole surfaced and mostly sculpted. Hopefully this one won't crash when I try and load it up.

My entry "where it's at today" 1. Plot created and dimensions lined 2. High level sculpting begun 3. Routing of holes basically done, although adjusting tees, etc Set now for a 4-3-5-4-3-5 layout. 4. Created center point lack with four waterfalls coming off each side 5. Planning marks for four streams, coming off waterfalls done 6. Put down a few placemarker greens that need to have sculpting done to areas before laying down greens & bunkers 7. Keeping telling myself to stay the course and not just "blow up this design" and start over. Here's a picture of the plot with marks for your enjoyment.

Interesting concept but I feel 4 streams coming off that lake each with waterfalls may be a bit too much. 2 would be plenty and allow you the time to make them look spectacular instead of rushed. Waterfalls can take a long time to get right especially with planting around them to make them look natural instead of just placed for the sake of it.

Now that I've seen that picture I'm worried. Worried that I went too overboard with backdrop stuff. The idea stays though (and didn't crash when I tested it earlier!) so I'll be going with that one. It's a countryside themed course with the delta trees, for some reason Delta crashes the game on Switch sometimes.

Published as I could get anything I wanted right as far as planting went. Did the trees and grass just bushes and other plants looked awful.
Course is DL 2.1 - Davidius

@!$# it, I published.
DL 2.1 - TrailDucker
The four dead trees indicate the corners of the 350x800 plot.
If I'm able to I'm going to try and make a full course with two more of the competition, but we'll see if that works out.

Jeez, how are you guys getting these out so quickly? Mine will probably be out in a week or two.

I couldn’t fit “TrailDucker’s fun and casual Jungle” in the course title unfortunately.
