I'm not much of a baseball fan either, but this game is truly awesome! It doesn't look as next-genish as I thought it would look on my Series X, but it plays so smooth. I'm not seeing a hint of framiness. It's been so long since I played the Show on my PS4 that I'd forgotten the control system. I'm having a bear of a time hitting and can't settle on a method that feels right. I don't want to just press a button to swing, but of the four options, none of them feel comfortable to me right now. I'm a complete disaster when it comes to controlling base runners. What few base runners I've had I wind up getting them in a pickle because I don't know what button to hit to send them back It's going to take a while to arouse what little interest I have in baseball to spend enough time with this to learn the controls again. The most I've been able to play so far is three innings before losing interest. It'll take time, but I have hope. The controls and setups are in the Settings. All you have to do is look LOL... yeah, I know that and I have... the problem comes in getting my brain to tell what finger what it needs to do to what button, in the heat of the moment!

Game is awesome and I could careless about baseball. I played as a kid and have been to live games . Have brought my kids to live games but never really cared about it or watched on tv. That being said it's pretty damn awesome. Very challenging. I'm a complete disaster when it comes to controlling base runners. What few base runners I've had I wind up getting them in a pickle because I don't know what button to hit to send them back Right bumper returns em'. Return a particular runner push the left stick in his direction 1st- right, 2nd- up, 3rd- left, H- down & push the right bumper. Upper right on the screen where it shows the base runner there's an 'L' in the middle of that window, it'll highlight 'yellow' when a direction has been pushed with the left stick. When you push it, you've taken control of a particular runner. Leave the left stick alone & all runners will return.
I know, sounds complicated but really isn't. I haven't mastered the running game yet either but gonna' focus on that this eve. The games brutal at picking you off. Stealing a base is near impossible unless you have a guy with speed attribute of 80+. Also have to make sure the count's in your favor.
I'm still trying to find that particular SIM Style of play with the settings. Atm I have pitching set to Legend - Pin Point which is the best way to pitch in the game imo, most immersive & challenging. Hitting, last night I dropped to Veteran from Allstar with 'Directional' setting. It's pushing the L stick & hitting a button but I find it the most challenging so far.

I started to stream some of this recently, but I neglected to turn off the in-game music, so Twitch disabled my audio in some parts of the VOD.
Trying Diamond Dynasty for the first time, and it's sometimes fun, sometimes a grind, but I'm getting there. Team's not that good yet, but it's reasonable against other new-ish DD players.
They did clean up some nuisance bugs since the last iteration I played, so that's good.

“ We are aware of the issue Xbox X|S users are having downloading the recent patch, which is blocking them from connecting to online games. We have identified the issue and we are working to address it.”

My lineup is pretty stacked now. 12-6 online which isn’t bad for a 1st year player. Still can’t run bases...

I've also had a lot of strange things happen, like I had a runner on 1st and 2nd and a passed ball, I advanced the runners, then the next thing I see is the runner from first run all the way to 3rd base while my other runner was there and get tagged out. Also have had runners two steps from home plate with no play at home turn around and go to 3rd. Seems like there should be some AI code to prevent these things.

Also have had runners two steps from home plate with no play at home turn around and go to 3rd. Seems like there should be some AI code to prevent these things. Ok, might be some help here, in the 1st case, runners on 1st & 2nd, advancing both on something like a passed ball should be simple as using LB but if held even slightly long say the runner at 1st is faster he may have touched 2nd base before the runner on 2nd reached 3rd so he's going to continue.
The way around it, push the left stick in his direction, you'll see him highlight, & touch the corresponding base button, in this case Y for 2nd. He'll stop there. You can manage individual runners that way although it can be a bit hectic over just advancing or retreating using the shoulder buttons. But once you get used to it it's best way to manage multiple runners.
Same thing goes for tagging up. Say you have runners 2nd & 3rd, deep fly ball but you only want to tag the guy on 3rd, push left stick towards him, when your ready to tag press the button to send him home, A. Of course these are Xbox controls.
In the second scenario, I've had it happen but not that close to the base & the only thing I can lend there is AI logic screws up sometimes but again if he's not already turned around, pushing the L stick in his direction & hitting the button where you want him to go could help. More often than not in that case he'll probably get thrown out but best way I know to manage him is the above mentioned.

Had something similar the other day, had my shortstop listed in the relief pitching box score & of course was listed in the batting stats. Hope they'll iron these little quirks out.
