And those ***** clearly only work for 20 minutes... Trying to hang on to their 1-2 lead, Ajax parked the bus but forgot to kill the game in the numerous counterattack chances they got - cross bar hit 5 times but the ball would just not go in! West Ham - Ajax 2-2 rob4590

Frustrating 2nd half for the Sky Blues where the midfield lost any control of the game they may have had and resorted to Hyam hoofing it up towards the lone striker who fluffed any opportunities he had....
Round 3 69 (-3) Round 4 67 (-5)
I must say the parks groundskeeper did a nice job on the pitch, perhaps too nice a job as the City players played like they would have been much happier on the potato field at St. Andrews.
Ultimately disappointing performance. Measure of how far the team has come where a -17 disappoints though. Every cloud.

1st Round -2
Both teams are evenly matched going into this crucial game, and this will be the first meeting between Jose Mourinho and Neil Lennon since the 2003 UEFA Cup final. The Celtic manager will be looking to get one over the man who ended his chances of European silverware.
Like 2 prize fighters both teams had early attacks to feel their opponent out, the match was finely balanced as any venture into the final third was thwarted. McGregor managed to get a shot on target after a bit of intricate play from the visitors. That was followed by a couple of defensive blunders by Duffy and Laxalt which forced Bain into action. The Celtic team's spirits were lifted by an audacious lob by Edouard then a couple of good efforts by Rogic then Forrest. Just after 20 minutes Celtic were caught out wide by Tottenham and a swift interchange between Son and Kane gave the home team a chance to take the lead.

The Bay players were more concerned about how much duty free they could bring back with them and decided to start the site seeing around Luxembourg early

Nothing there surely. Gets your boys over to Amsterdam and they can have a proper blow out....before you sell them all for a pint of lager and a bag of crisps.

2nd Round -5
As the half wore on Celtic got more confident, the man known as French Eddie by the fans had a shot saved just short of the 25 minute mark. Not to be outdone Griffiths had a couple of free kicks that just fizzed by the post. Lucas Moura crafted an excellent opportunity for Spurs after some great link up play with Son after a half hour gone.
Celtic captain Brown started to impose himself on the game more as he threw in a few tackles to break up the attacking threat from the home team. A lovely floated ball by Ajer found Forrest scampering down the right, the winger cut in and hit a shot which was deflected behind. From the resultant corner Julian rose highest to bullet a header towards goal.

Round 1
Ahhh Italy. The food, the wine, the history! the Pirates came out in fine form, but this pitch is running hot so the home squad may have their way.

We are at halftime folks and after an opening blitz by the home squad, Orlando found their footing and netted a nifty equalizer just before the whistle. 1-1.

The Azzurri feasted on their home cooking in the form of four cheese pizzas from La Vecchia Pesa and used that energy to race out to a quick 1-0 advantage off a set piece rocket to the back of the net.
But then the inevitable carb crash made the boys in blue a bit sluggish in the second 22, and the solid play by the African squad found them level going into the locker rooms for bruschetta slices and red wine.
Looks like this one is going to be another nail biter, folks.

Really tense affair in this game and it really showed on the pitch and Spurs were really lucky with a VAR decision to grab a goal at the end but this match looks like itโs going to be an edge of your seat game and Celtic have put the big boys out and really up for it!

So you've just missed your gazillionth cut in a row so what do you do when the tees get moved back and the wind gets up - you guessed it, start with seven birdies on the first eight holes. I swear this game will be the death of me.
Round Three - just for the pride of Fife
Methil Milan started the second half like their namesakes. Slick passing, incisive through-balls, sharp finishing. The 403 hardy fans were chanting 'It's just like watching West Ham, it's just like watching West Ham'. The purple patch of course couldn't last and a dodgy back pass presented Tranmere with a sight of goal. That shook the confidence a little and the passes began to find white shirts rather than the gold and black ones. The Fifers stayed solid but couldn't repeat the early burst they produced straight out of the changing rooms.
64 (-8)

With new manager Nigel Pearson watching from the stands the first half was full of endeavor from the boys in red but very little quality. To be fair the strikers had their best game of the season (I do finally seemed to have found a putting technique which works, by far my best putts per hole all season), but the passing from the back kept going straight out of play and when they did get in a position to put a good cross in they either hit the first defender or shanked it straight in to the Atyeo Stand. Downhearted by this, the team emerged for the second half and ran around aimlessly at high speed for 20 minutes without a care in the world. Pearson has his work cut out.
68, 68, 76 so far.
