Pixel Golf FootballSkyBlueBen, fransslabak, Giraffe72, Celtic Wolf, sid snott, Art Vandelay, thetaffman, rob4590, crushtastic, up mup kupen nup, cassinochips, LEFTY79, jason755, xboxjonnyuk, avjpfcWelcome to the thread for the foolhardy football fan pixel golfers who embark on the opening season of our league. A two-tier cup competition with qualifying groups starting on Sunday during the Challenge Circuit tournament at Gator Creek. All will be playing as teams close to their heart with each of the four rounds counting towards a goal in the overall match score each week. Progress is recorded on the League Scoresheet and here will be the home for good-natured banter surrounding the competition and football in general. Teams as varied as Herne Bay FC, Ajax, East Fife, Orlando Pirates, Celtic and Cassino Calcio will be fighting out against Premier League titans such as Liverpool, Man United, Spurs, West 'Am and Villa. The less fashionable sides like Burton, Coventry, Tranmere and Bristol City will also feature and of course Kevin has a team that I can't spell and nobody has ever heard of. Small boys in the park....jumpers for goal posts.....let's get it on!!

Ah... the mighty F91 Dudelange. The first Luxembourgish football club to qualify for the Europa League group stages, and even do that twice in a row (2018-19 and 2019-20). And the football club of my hometown.

We are very much looking forward to our opening fixture against the mighty Tranmere Rovers, one of Europe's finest. Players are chomping at the bit. Warned McFadzean there's a fair bit of water at Gator Creek and I don't want to see him sneaking off for an early bath. We need all 11 players on the pitch to overcome the household names that will be parading in Rovers colours. Play Up Sky Blues Thanks for all the hard work Greg honeybadger64 Spreadsheet looks brilliant and can't wait to kick things off. Good luck all, here's hoping for a great first season.

Such household names of Tranmere with players who have Premier League experience like Jay Spearing, James Vaughan around 15 years ago lol Good luck this week, may your balls not get too waterlogged in the current climate we are having π

Getting the ground ready for our match with Herne Bay. Good luck Paul! sid snott Think my team of part timers are going to need a bit of luck as my main players are a builder, cook, gardener, stove fitter, dog walker, cleaner, accountant, van driver, wood cutter, home barman & a failed wanna be rock star. But the Bay will giving it their all as always.

We're lining up on the first tee as massive underdogs. Wouldn't have it any other way. Viva Azzurri!

The Celtic team have travelled to northern Florida ahead of the season opener against Art Vandelay 's Orlando Pirates. O'Dell: "I think the conditions and humidity might favour our opponents as the weather is more like what you'd get in Johannesburg than what we are used to in Glasgow. It's a tough opener for us but we're here early to acclimatise and get a feel of the course. If you want to progress these are the matches you need to take something from and that is what we want to achieve."
