Well, a huge thanks to all involved - having come close in the last couple I’ve been in, the main feeling is probably one of relief! Love the way we keep pushing each other and the courses from Dream Team definitely gave me a kick to try to raise my level a bit more.
digitalbunny - hard luck, pal and a great course. Clearly could have easily gone either way and an average score of nearly 46/50 is stupidly good. Sussex was a blast to play and it’s great to see you get the recognition where I don’t think you’ve necessarily had it in other contests.
mayday_golf83 and the judges, thank you as well. I’ve been there and I know how tough it is to split hairs when it comes to the last few courses. I think the best thing we can say is that this WC will be remembered for the courses; we will never all agree with every decision, but I can’t think of any headscratchers, which is definitely a first and a massive step up on last year! Appreciate all the time you guys put in. With the general level of design so much higher than this time a year ago, we need all the quality judges we can get in contests - if you’ve placed high in this one, please do volunteer to judge a contest in future.
Looking forward to finally updating the signature with a new card and seeing all the courses that come out of National Treasure. Been a blast.
