Congrats Ben. He cops some sh#t on Facebook and the like from those who have no clue and while he's sold out on Twitch now too, there is no more deserving person in the community to win this than Ben imo. Not just because he's always more than willing to offer advice, help run comps, review courses etc etc but also because his designs kick arse. Congrats sir.  On a side note, how tf did I not win the meth lab award? @petro builds one little crank shack and I've built an empire. Robbed.  |

Congrats b101 on the victory! Strathlorne is a fantastic course and deserving of the victory.
Also congrats to scottish67, thought I had provided a worthy opponent but I missed out in just a few areas.
Im happy with 3rd, but definitely could have pushed to 2nd with a little more attention in a few areas. I'll definitely keep pushing to join the upper echelons of this design community, this contest validated that I can be there with some of the main guys. I hope I can be in the main field soon!
Thanks mayday_golf83 for putting this on and giving us "alternate" a chance to showcase what we can do. Also, big thanks to the judges for their time and comments for judging.

Well done Ben! First World Cup win for England since 1966! I think everyone who played Strathlorne loved it from the first play through, I also think very few people played it just the once! A really deserving course and designer to come out on top. Thank you to everyone who put in countless hours to run such an awesome event!

As we saw today, even the judges didn't all agree on the winner. As I've said before, we can all have different opinions, that's fine. Let's just debate things in a civil manner. That's all I ask. |

You were a judge and I've no doubt you put a lot of time and effort into your deliberations. Judging is tough when you're faced with such quality. I thought the contents and tone of my comments were obviously tongue in cheek and not intended as inflammatory but clearly they were not. I take responsibility for that and apologise. |
