I can assure you robn as someone who has now received the direct feedback from the judges, they gave me lovely and varied feedback about the course that left no doubt in my mind they were doing a great and thorough job! |

Great and thoroughly biased job. Nah I'm kidding! Looks good to me, but I will say that one group did raise an eyebrow for me, that's all. I'm only stirring a little really, judges have a tough job. |

ahh yes...the classic passive aggressive hit and run. You love to see it.... OK, nipping this in the bud here. It has been expressed to me the result(s) in question privately and I'll leave it up to Robn if he wishes to express them publicly in a manner conducive to a healthy debate. It's totally fine not to agree with all the results. Hell, I'm running the thing and I didn't even correctly predict all 24 courses that made it through. That's not to say that any of the results that didn't match what I saw were wrong. Frankly, there are far fewer than eight courses that deserve to be out at this juncture of the contest, but that was the task of the judges. And that task is going to get even more difficult as we got down to 16, 8, 4, 2 and eventually a winner. Want to debate which courses did or didn't get through? Great! Feel free to talk about the merits of the courses and see if you agree or disagree with the results. Where it crosses the line is when we start going after the creditability of the contestants and/or the judges -- all of whom have and are putting their best efforts into this contest. That's all I can ask, from the position of contest manager. So, guys, let's act like gentlemen here. Debate is cool. Bickering, sniping and veiled accusations, not so much. |
