I never mentioned PC. The issues I specifically mentioned are not latency issues. I have had enough experience with both platforms (PS4 and Stadia) to make an educated assessment on the problem at hand. Latency is an obvious consideration on all platforms..as I had also eluded to. Anyhow, reading between your lines, Stadia is WAY BETTER than you think it is. PGA is really good on Stadia; they just need to fix the tempo issue. As it is, the game is still very playable They need to fix the tempo issue? On Stadia? because there is no tempo issues on PC from my experience or PS4 Pro. I have a bog standard internet no better than any one else and play the game over Wi-Fi. Just maybe by a million to one chance bad tempo could be actually down to the person holding the controller. Yes. Tempo issue is related to Stadia only. PS4 seems to be fine. If I hit it slightly slow tempo on PS4 it registers as slightly slow and plays as such. If I play the same slightly slow temp on Stadia, it will register as a red very slow. I have over 350 hours of gametime on Stadia. It's not a fluke. It's also not like I go from Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde just because I switch platforms. I am the same player, playing the same game, and the results are clearly not the same. However, on Stadia, the results are at least consistent so you just make the adjustment...which happens to be playing the fast tempo.

I know what it's like to try to stream the last game from my PC to TV.

If they were to switch the difficulty from master to legendary and just turn off swing timing might improve the fast swing issue I think the degree of difficulty would still be the same because you would be moving up to the most difficult setting. A way to bypass the glitch then if your tempo is off it would be on you alone.

The real skill in this game is timing not how straight you pull back and forward the controller.

After playing around with it since launch I must confess I just play for fasts. I can hit perfects but always push the ball so find I end up missing right anyway. Yes I could spend X amount of time trying to correct this but hitting a red fast counters my push so effectively results in a generally straight shot for me. I think it comes down to personal preference as everybody swings it differently with different techniques etc.
I would say red fast gives an advantage off the tee but not with approach shots imo. My proximity to hole is nowhere near what it was in TGC19 and I think that is due to the extra work I have to do trying to judge how a red fast will react when factoring in wind/lie/elevation etc etc.

I don't play the fast game. I play for perfects. When my game is on, I am 85% perfect and make tons of birdies because I know where its going. I miss a fair amount of greens and fairways, but I am competitive because perfect approach shots are always birdies. I pair that with a wicked good short game and I am fine.
I know if I played a fast off the tee, I would hit more FIR and be better off, but I choose to play the game how it was meant to be played.
Do I let what other players do bother me? Nope. Worry about you can control and let others do what they do.

Worry about you can control and let others do what they do. I just red fast the drives. And play for perfects with most everything else. Red fasts on drives are just basically power draws for the most part. I don’t have a problem( with people playing red fasts) with the drives anymore. I only use red fasts on irons when the wind is fast and a crosswind as the wind neutralizes the power draw and the shot is basically straight. But after the drive is where I have a little issue with people who just play red fasts on every shot as they can’t find or try to find the correct tempo. I go for perfects on approach shots and for 90% of my shots they are grey fast, perfects and a few grey slows. I rarely get a slow red, maybe 1 shot per round and have about 2-3 red fasts per round which only causes a splash instead of a putt. I still feel they don’t need to change this part of the game. I’d only change the splash shots and keep that shot only if in the bunkers. I can’t worry about people who don’t try to improve their approach shots and go for perfects, it really is not that hard if you take a few practice shots before your shot. I think people are just lazy when using red fasts on every shot and are afraid to make the adjustments on the range. I made the adjustments with practice shots as you really can get the feel within 2/3 practice shots. My scores have actually improved since going for perfects on approach shots. I used to play see ball and then hit ball and just accept where it lands. The practice swings are the real reason on why my scores have lowered. That and making better adjustments with lie, wind and elevation.

That and making better adjustments with lie, wind and elevation. Does something in the game mechanic fundamentally change between drive and approach shot? Or is that just the line you're arbitrarily drawing because it works for you? If you take issue with red fasts on approaches because they "can't find or try to find the correct tempo," then it makes little logical sense to be ok with this "strategy" on drives. Ask yourself what are the core challenges being presented by the game's designer - especially at the harder difficulty levels. If you changed the difficulty settings to Beginner or Pro-Am, are you still hammering Red Fasts on every drive? Let's just call a spade a spade. Playing for an easier-to-achieve mishit to control the ball is a sidestep/exploit/cheat/cheese method in place of actually playing this video golf game.

HB could EASILY fix this issue by simply nerfing the distance on mishits. Anything outside the gray area should come with *significant* distance and line penalties when on Master or Legend swing. Hell, a few chunks/toppers here and there would be a realistic twist on a bad ball strike. Power draws and fades should be targets within the gray. Straight within the white. Miss that timing and we should pay the price for a bad ball strike. Apparently HB has no desire to address the issue so we are stuck in this cheese fondue bowl. Just my 2 cents. Carry on.

I stopped playing fasts as I found it boring, and not really the way to play. That left me trying for perfects on Xbox, which sometimes I got and sometimes I didn't, and the difference between each so small I found it impossible to be consistent. I'm using the past tense because I no longer play the game and won't until I get the series X and 60fps is enabled.

Consistency isn’t supposed to be easy with golf and is not an entitlement to the sport. Of course a video game is different and we all allow for some “poetic liberty” with game play. But when I see a game provide Master or Legend level anything, I expect it to leave a bit of that poetic liberty behind. The punishment should be much more severe for mistakes on the higher difficulties. Ok, I’m up to 4 cents and all I have is a nickel
