Season 16 - week 3 recap Got a little hairy at the end, but we're through in good enough time! Let's see how things ended up and who almost ended up not getting there... Six Nation Army broke a record last week and lost, they did not allow it to happen this week as they annihilated (and almost got another record down) It's the Caddy's Fault 23-9 (450-398). Loveless and Floyd get VIP passes to the Club with their 4s. The Ball Caressers are on the up and up with a swift and clear victory over The Power Faders by a score of 19.5-12.5 (431-420). Good scoring all across the board, but no 4 pointers to the Club. The battle of 2 teams of a season's past was... a little strange. CamelThokies take the points advantage to win the match against their slightly renamed counterpart Dude Where's My Parrrr 19-13 (427-439), despite the losing side taking the shots to themselves. And no 4s here either. Sad. 9th Green at Nine got off to a slow start but they have room for optimism now with their maiden victory of the season over Putt Pirates 18-14 (412-380). Let's see how this narrative goes along the season. Azallion gets 4 for the Pirates. And finally, we have the first tie of the 8 player team era as in the closest you can get match, Tour De Fore-ce technically wins with 1 shot over Bourbon, Wings and Swings but in reality it's a tie for 16-16 (407-406). No 4s. NOTABLES AND LEADERBOARDS: Week 4 enters us into Shizuoka Cliffs (C.C.) by Ben Anderson. Gonna be interesting to see what this previously Elite course will be like for CC... well, no time to worry about it too hard, here's the line for the matches: 4 A: 5. Bourbon, Wings and Swings VS. 4. CamelThokies 4 B: 2. Six Nation Army VS. 3. Dude Where's My Parrrr 4 C: 7. Tour De Fore-ce VS. 10. 9th Green at Nine 4 D: 1. The Ball Caressers VS. 8. Putt Pirates 4 E: 9. It's the Caddy's Fault VS. 6. The Power Faders Good luck, see you at the finish line for this week (hopefully nothing bad happens...)!

Season 16 - week 4 recap Konnichiwa from Shizuoka (Cliffs C.C), land of the rising sun (or something inspired by it)! The sun always rises somewhere around the world, and this week the sun shines a light on these following results: The Ball Caressers are finding mighty fine luck so far at the top of the ranks, most likely thanks to their caressing abilities making the golf balls act right as they nail down Putt Pirates 21.5-10.5 (405-380). Good show of .5 scores, main one of note is Sevcik's 4 points. And it is a very notable thing indeed as you will soon discover... 9th Green at Nine can go to the ninth layer of... you know what (no bias intended, surely) as they send Tour De Fore-ce tumbling down to heck by a score of 19.5-12.5 (375-265). No 4 point scoring here in this one. Unrelated non-golf tidbit: did you know Yomi is the Japanese word for the land of the dead? Just one letter switch away from some guy's name... and he's playing like he's in there! Umm, what happened there? Anyways... CamelThokies down themselves some Bourbon, Wings and Swings to the tune of a 19-13 score (405-378). Unfortunately, the party won't go overtime as there's no 4s. And finally to wrap up, two similar scores. By a one shot margin (being 13 shots up here to 12 shots in the other soon mentioned match), first dibs to The Power Faders who get one over It's the Caddy's Fault 18-14 (395-382). Is it really though? Must be, because there's no 4s. And 12 shots was indeed the gap with a same 18-14 (404-392) line as Six Nation Army goes one up over Dude Where's My Parrrr in the top heaviest match of the week. I kinda keep repeating myself, but there were no 4s here, either. Huh. NOTABLES AND LEADERBOARDS: Week 5 will be held at Sheridan Timber Co. by Alex Grainger. Why are we playing at the grounds of a lumberyard? Or a forestry industry building? Or whatever it may be? Who knows, but we know these matches as we cross into the halfway point and beyond during week 5: 5 A: 1. The Ball Caressers VS. 3. CamelThokies 5 B: 5. Bourbon, Wings and Swings VS. 10. It's the Caddy's Fault 5 C: 6. The Power Faders VS. 4. Dude Where's My Parrrr 5 D: 2. Six Nation Army VS. 8. 9th Green at Nine 5 E: 7. Tour De Fore-ce VS. 9. Putt Pirates Enjoy your time. Watch out for woodchippers and other forestry equipment as the medical insurance won't cover those!

Season 16 - week 5 recap Alright, let's get this done real fast, or as fast as possible since it's still a lot of work. Dude Where's My Parrrr is going farrrr so far this season, The Power Faders that be could not match them as we got a high 24-8 score (384-353). Sandwiching 4 pointers as pool 1 Hernandez and pool 8 Elliott got there this week. All it takes is a little damnation from the week before, as this week Tour De Fore-ce slams Putt Pirates down en route to their first win, at 21.5-10.5 (387-347). Rejoicing for Budel and Warncke who catch a 4 pointer. Six Nation Army marches down opposition, 9th Green at Nine being the latest to fall with a 18.5-13.5 score (403-383). Boss man up top Everard gets credit for 4 points. Two scores of same nature wrap up this week, by a 6 shot gap we get Bourbon, Wings and Swings winning over It's the Caddy's Fault 17.5-14.5 (383-377). No 4 pointers. And finally it's 3 shots being the gap in this match, leading to a rather unusual last mention which goes to league leaders The Ball Caressers knocking off CamelThokies in a tight top affair 17.5-14.5 (405-402). Sevcik is on one this season, or on 4 this week. NOTABLES AND LEADERBOARDS, WEEK 5: Reality check time for this HTF season is on a real course this week. Week 6 of HTF take us to Pine Lake CC (Michigan) which was brought to us in-game by the one, the only, Craig LeVasseur. Bet you won't guess where this course is, and I bet you won't guess that these matches are out there this week: 6 A: 8. 9th Green at Nine VS. 7. The Power Faders 6 B: 10. Putt Pirates VS. 3. Dude Where's My Parrrr 6 C: 4. CamelThokies VS. 2. Six Nation Army 6 D: 9. It's the Caddy's Fault VS. 6. Tour De Fore-ce 6 E: 5. Bourbon, Wings and Swings VS. 1. The Ball Caressers Good luck out there!

Season 16 - week 6 recap We are about to head off into the last third of the season, but before we do, one last check to see what happened on the week that this was. An army is about to take a stand and march on up as Six Nation Army makes brutal work of CamelThokies by a score of 21.5-10.5 (458-431). We do have a 4 point scorer on here as Wahlig snipes 4. Someone is blaming a caddy for sure as It's the Caddy's Fault beats down Tour De Fore-ce 20.5-11.5 (433-416). One more 4 point scorer is found with Bowes scoring 4. A surprising outcome thinking about the Golden Tee race for the last third of this season's run as Bourbon, Wings and Swings manage to knock off number 1 The Ball Caressers 19.5-12.5 (424-417). Breunig feeds the opposition the most bitter stuff with a 4. Matches A and B were the ones with the smallest gap this week. The A game has the bigger shot gap, however, and it means that The Power Faders get dibs for their win first, and dibs over 9th Green at Nine too with a 18-14 score (445-420). No dibs on 4s. The B match saw Golden Tee hopefuls Dude Where's My Parrrr do what they must to stay in it over Putt Pirates with another 18-14 (419-415). Ruhl rules the roost with a 4 (and apologies for the god-awful pun). NOTABLES AND LEADERBOARDS, WEEK 6: Week 7 gets us into one last third of the season. Spread your wings into a hefty finish as we enter Wingspread Prairie Club by Scott Melby. Let's fly high and not crash and burn too close to the sun with these matches: 7 A: 6. Tour De Fore-ce VS. 2. The Ball Caressers 7 B: 7. The Power Faders VS. 10. Putt Pirates 7 C: 3. Dude Where's My Parrrr VS. 8. It's the Caddy's Fault 7 D: 9. 9th Green at Nine VS. 5. CamelThokies 7 E. 1. Six Nation Army VS. 4. Bourbon, Wings and Swings And off we go. Good luck!

Season 16 - week 7 recap We're slowly creeping up to the finish, week 7 may be lucky to some so let's see how that worked for all these teams taking part. Up first with the biggest win of the week is The Power Faders who cling on to tee hopes for a bit longer over the 10th placers (for now, anyway) Putt Pirates by a score of 20.5-11.5 (441-415). A 4 point performance was found from no one. Dude Where's My Parrrr is doing what it can to stick close to the Golden Tee fight with the next 2 weeks being big deciders for their fate. For now, they took out It's the Caddy's Fault 20-12 (451-436). And again, no 4s. Tour De Fore-ce has done a solid job of making the top fight interesting and to keep their hopes of tees alive by taking out The Ball Caressers 19-13 (422-398). And what do you know, no 4 pointers here either. Now here's where things got spicier as the outsider of top 3 looking in from fairly close by, that being Bourbon, Wings and Swings, knocked off top guns Six Nation Army 18-14 (452-455). Two 4s here, those being from Breunig and Rienzo. And for the final act of this week it's another outsider of top 3 creeping closer as CamelThokies got the W over 9th Green at Nine by a score of 17.5-14.5 (429-391). One more to the 4 pile as Maneese finds a way there. NOTABLES AND LEADERBOARDS, WEEK 7: Week 8 of HTF season 16 sees us head out to an interesting pick: Cherrybrook Golf Club by Matthew Fritsch. Now why is it interesting? Because let's look at the history of when this was used on tours: first it was a CC course originally in 2K21 (I was a CC-G player when it was there, for reference point of how stupid far back this was). Then in this game, 2K23, it was first used in Elite last season and now it comes full circle returning to CC this season. Good thing there was something interesting to talk about the course itself so it won't get eclipsed by these interesting matches of week 8 as they serve up a lot of potential swings heading into week 9 for the finale of the season: 8 A: 4. Bourbon, Wings and Swings VS. 9. 9th Green at Nine 8 B: 3. The Ball Caressers VS. 1. Dude Where's My Parrrr 8 C: 7. Tour De Fore-ce VS. 2. Six Nation Army 8 D: 5. CamelThokies VS. 6. The Power Faders 8 E: 10. Putt Pirates VS. 8. It's the Caddy's Fault Good luck, have fun! Emphasis on the fun, and to finish on a fitting quote: "It's only game! Why you have to be mad?"

Season 16 - week 8 recap We're almost done with the season! Before we get to the last week, we have to check back to what happened on the penultimate one... It's the Caddy's Fault has pretty much all but pushed Putt Pirates to the despair of last place for the season with a commanding win of 22-10 (420-363). Big X-factors were Beaudry and Schuiling with their 4 point weeks. Battle of 1st place is neck and neck going into the last week as Six Nation Army smacks around, sigh... Tour De Fore-ce 20.5-11.5 (417-389). Vyso scores the 4. And speaking of the 1st place battle, it's the Army versus Dude Where's My Parrrr who knock down The Ball Caressers to a massive chase position and into leading the 3rd place battle with a score of 19.5-12.5 (419-409). Ruhl gets a nice 4. The second of the 3rd place battle pack is Bourbon, Wings and Swings who manage to keep their chances good over 9th Green at Nine 18-14 (397-385). No 4s in this one. And 3rd contestant for 3rd is in the furthest chase position but in best matchup situation for the last week as CamelThokies secure a win over The Power Faders 17.5-14.5 (434-418). Vick managed a 4 pointer. NOTABLES AND LEADERBOARDS, WEEK 8: Week 9, the final one of season 16. Take us home, Tobacco Road (meta) by Ali Calder. Not quite real but heavily inspired by a course of some similar name. Surprisingly, a TST course earlier this season now in CC. And oh boy, we have some kinda matches to send us away: 9 A: 7. It's the Caddy's Fault VS. 9. 9th Green at Nine 9 B: 5. CamelThokies VS. 10. Putt Pirates 9 C: 3. The Ball Caressers VS. 1. Six Nation Army 9 D: 6. The Power Faders VS. 8. Tour De Fore-ce 9 E: 2. Dude Where's My Parrrr VS. 4. Bourbon, Wings and Swings Get ready to rumble! This'll be good. Good luck one more time this (team) season.

Season 16 - week 9 recap And that's it for another season! Let's go through the action one more time. Normally in the last week I change the format of recapping matches to a system of least importance to most importance. But I don't think I will this time for a change, as Putt Pirates end their fairly miserable season on a high, knocking off CamelThokies and their hopes of outside tees 23.5-8.5 (484-445). Azallion sets the high standard with 4 points and -80. Major impact in the next one as Dude Where's My Parrrr beat Bourbon, Wings and Swings 19-13 (454-456) and manage to put up a bigger point score than the match coming up soon to win the Golden Tee. Captain leads the way as Martin gets 4 points. Outstandingly close matches wrap up the season as up first It's the Caddy's Fault manage a victory over 9th Green at Nine with a score of 17.5-14.5 (455-459). Beaudry takes 4 points for the Fault, meanwhile Löfström exits on a high with a 4 of his own for the Nine. In a battle of 3rd vs. 1st the 3 is greater as The Ball Caressers slowed down the march of Six Nation Army to the cadence of 17-15 (448-453). Paradoxically it's the less scoring end with the 4 as super sub Bear gets there. And last but not least, a 25 shot gap means nothing as The Power Faders overcome that to slightly edge out Tour De Fore-ce 16.5-15.5 (432-457). The rare time where this is the only match with not a single 4 pointer. NOTABLES WEEK 9 AND FINAL STANDINGS: Right on, that's it for the team portion of the season! Now, if you want to continue your season individually, you can take on the SOTS Cup that has a qualifier this week. In order to try yourself out, play CC this week and report like normal, either by score summary screenshot or by writing out. DO KEEP IN MIND THAT PARTICIPATION IS OPTIONAL AND OPEN TO ALL! 16 top scorers from this week will advance into next week to play in a 4 round matchplay bracket to determine a winner of the Red Striped Tee. The 2 weeks that the SOTS Cup exists this time around are held on these creations (at least this time both courses are known in advance), which in turn is somewhat thematically fitting of a back-to-back if you really think about it: Week 1, qualifier: Little Snake Island by Chris Fargus Week 2, 16-person matchplay: Lake Cadaver by Gareth Irvine Thank you for your reading time again this season, and see you on the next one!

Hi All. Looking for more action, so if you need one for next season give us a shout. Currently Platinum. Cheers guys 👍 Hi Chris! We're currently evaluating the feedback of current players for next season. I'd be happy to put you on the waiting list for the time being. You could play as a substitute as long as you haven't got your permanent spot. Would that work for you? Cheers, Kevin

Season 17 - week 0 / intro
Hi I'm Tomi, the usual guy in the sidelines reporting this stuff and we're here for another run with 80 players in 10 teams. So 8 per team, through pools 1 to 8. Plenty of good squads ready to roll: the usual mix of oldies, the goodies and the newbies, and all in between. With the current future in question since the TGC season is running to an end soon and with no news of anything on the horizon yet, this season will hold some interest on whether this'll be the last of the game cycle or if there's more to go later. But as always, despite the waning interest and the dog days of summer, it should be fun!
The usual reminder of how things work: just go play the CC rounds starting in a couple of hours. Report scores from there every week, either by showing a summary of your scores via a screenshot of the summary, or just writing out the numbers relative to under par (example: -13, -15, -10, -12 = 50) as we trust the code of honor here. I would, however, like to encourage everyone to be mindful of remembering to do the reports so that we do not get to situations where we're waiting on scores later on Sunday, or that we have to rely on others to go pick scores up to finish the weeks. Best option is to report as soon as possible.
Week 1 of season 17 takes us to Ketchaboneck Club by Thomas Petrocelli. Another older style course from the bygone 2K21 era, so let's see what the 2K23 side can do. These matches kick us off:
1 A: 9th Green at Nine VS. The Guiyang GIR Gang 1 B: 7 Slicers and a Hooker VS. Dude Where's My Parrrr 1 C: Hawk Tuah Friends VS. Hedonism 2 Crew 1 D: 6 Bears and 1 Cup VS. A Team With No Name 1 E: The Power Faders VS. Bourbon, Wings and Swings
Best of luck to your endeavors, let's get it on!

Season 17 - week 1 recap Hello ladies and gentlemen, and people and creatures in between. This was week 1 of the new season of Happy Tee Friends, let's get right into it. The fairly benign and nameless beginning to these recaps, as the cleverly named unnamed squad of A Team With No Name (I swear I'm not biased) take the season lead through week 1 over 6 Bears and 1 Cup by a score of 20-12 (424-398 were the shots). End of the world? Maybe, since there are no 4 pointers in this match. Ooooh, foreshadowing... Tiebreaker already, the usual format in case of two or more same scores is shot differential. And since they beat their opponent by 18, 7 Slicers and a Hooker off-set reigning, defending champs (in name anyway) Dude Where's My Parrrr 18.5-13.5 (418-400). No 4 pointers. Next one up after that tie break is 9th Green at Nine who take a small win in shots and turn it into a decent opener over The Guiyang GIR Gang by that same score of 18.5-13.5 (405-403). And again, no one scored 4. We may have had to wait on a team name from them for a while, but they made the wait somewhat worth it as Hedonism 2 Crew ripped and tore and potentially spat on Hawk Tuah Friends by a score of 17.5-14.5 (413-405). Aaand no 4s. We wrap up with the first tie of the season, as The Power Faders and Bourbon, Wings and Swings can't come to a conclusion on who should win. 16-16 (413-407) is the final score, with no 4 pointers. NOTABLES AND LEADERBOARDS, WEEK 1 (presented by Kevin's Spreadsheets and colorized by me): Are we feeling quite fuzzy after week 1? Good, because week 2 takes us to Fuzzy Horse Golf Club by Seb Krisiuk. Yes, that was totally intentional and so are these matches! Damn, I'm on one today, get me some help. 2 A: 1. A Team With No Name VS. 3. 9th Green at Nine 2 B: 10. 6 Bears and 1 Cup VS. 8. The Guiyang GIR Gang 2 C: 7. Hawk Tuah Friends VS. 2. 7 Slicers and a Hooker 2 D: 5. The Power Faders VS. 9. Dude Where's My Parrrr 2 E: 6. Bourbon, Wings and Swings VS. 4. Hedonism 2 Crew Cheers y'all, good luck!

Season 17 - week 2 recap Another week down, let's get right into it. 2 teams tie for the big win of the week. By merit of a bigger shot gap, The Guiyang GIR Gang takes top honors as they beat 6 Bears and 1 Cup 20-12 and by 21 shots (435-414). An avalanche of 4 pointers: Balcombe & Zuchero for the Gang, and Azallion with 4 for the Bears. The other big winner of the week was The Power Faders who managed to get one past Dude Where's My Parrrr by, again, 20-12 and 12 shots (437-425). Difference is, no one got 4 in this one. Next one up is 9th Green at Nine, they got a victory over A Team With No Name by a score of 19-13 (435-425). And some more of no one getting 4 points. The heated match up going into the season as one man had to play against his former team. The switch seems to have paid off this week as Bourbon, Wings and Swings take care of Hedonism 2 Crew 18-14 (437-423). Aerts scored 4 for the Swings. And we finish the recaps with a bit of spitting on that thing, what thing? I don't know, but Hawk Tuah Friends spat on 7 Slicers and a Hooker to get a 17.5-14.5 win (425-420). 2 more 4 pointers join the club here as Todd & Jones get to 4 points. NOTABLES AND LEADERBOARDS, WEEK 2: Week 3 of season 17 brings us a dose of realism. Yes, yes, I can already hear some groans from the crowd. We head to the Lidar course of National Golf Links of America (L) recreated by Elliott Erwitt. Yes, while the 4th of July just went past us there's a post-celebratory week at America's golf links, and to celebrate the day gone past, these are the HTF Matches Of Week 3 (see what I did there?): 3 A: 10. 6 Bears and 1 Cup VS 2. The Power Faders 3 B: 1. 9th Green at Nine VS 9. Dude Where's My Parrrr 3 C: 4. The Guiyang GIR Gang VS 8. Hedonism 2 Crew 3 D: 6. 7 Slicers and a Hooker VS 5. A Team With No Name 3 E: 3. Bourbon, Wings and Swings VS 7. Hawk Tuah Friends Cheers and good luck!

Season 17 - week 3 recap Quick fire. Hedonism 2 Crew 23-9 (363-329) over The Guiyang GIR Gang. Kirk & Hickey with the 4s for Crew, Zuchero with 4 the other way. 9th Green at Nine smacks Dude Where's My Parrrr 22-10 (389-354). Oakey gets 4. Bourbon, Wings and Swings goes 20-12 (383-371) on Hawk Tuah Friends. Higgins grabs 4. 6 Bears and 1 Cup gets 1 over The Power Faders 18-14 (367-351). No 4s. A Team With No Name edges out 7 Slicers and a Hooker 16.5-15.5 (351-345). No 4s. NOTABLES AND LEADERBOARDS, WEEK 3: Week 4 is the Open week, CC goes to Barry Lyndon (course name and not an actual person... I think, no time for fact checks) by Quinlan Roche. Week 4 sees these matches: 4 A: 8. The Guiyang GIR Gang VS 7. Hawk Tuah Friends 4 B: 5. A Team With No Name VS 3. Bourbon, Wings and Swings 4 C: 2. Hedonism 2 Crew VS 4. The Power Faders 4 D: 10. Dude Where's My Parrrr VS 9. 6 Bears and 1 Cup 4 E: 6. 7 Slicers and a Hooker VS 1. 9th Green at Nine That's it this week, good luck.
