Season 15 - intro / week 0
We're back and so is this writer / recap dude / press box agent / whatever you wish to call it! Hopefully the holidays and changing of the year has been great for all, for a new year there's now a new season of Happy Tee Friends too! Yes folks, we're up to the 15th iteration and once again like last season, 72 players are taking part in a grueling 11 week team competition that sees winners take home a coveted Golden Tee, second placers the Silver Tee and 3rd placers the Bronze Tee. One individual Tee is also up for grabs to the best performer in terms of point scoring as per usual, as the MVP of the season grabs the Sky Blue Tee. And for the unfortunate person who gets lots of golf scoring done with big scores but not a lot of point scoring for the team, they might get the sort of unofficial but official Brown Tee. Plenty of intriguing talent in this player group, from top hitters to veterans of the game, to the returnees or to the newbies to this competition due to just figuring out it exists or having climbed to the pros, we always have it all!
Anyways, we're getting ready to start week 1 real soon. As usual, the HTF group plays through the TGCTours (Challenge Circuit) society, much to the chagrin of some society message board folks. Report the round scores from there, preferably as soon as you're done with the rounds to prevent forgetfulness or other such issues. This upcoming week starting real soon is at Barranca by Tyson Staab. Let's look at the first week matches, as per usual once the rest of the team names comes in, I'll update accordingly:
1 A: The Tee Collection VS. CamelThokies 1 B: Designated Drivers? VS. The Power Faders 1 C: Beijing Big Dogs VS. Beer, Wings and Swings 1 D: The Burnt Edges VS. Kettles 1 E: Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie VS. Dude, Where's My Par? 1 F: The Stiff Knockers VS. Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's
Alrighty then, good luck out there! Cheers!

Season 15 - week 1 recap
New season, new teams, same high quality virtual golf action! How did things go on the opening week of the new HTF season?
Leading the way through first week from match A at the top of the sheet are the CamelThokies who knock off The Tee Collection 17-7. Stivers drops a casual -78 for 4 points, Semsi also scores 4 points.
Beijing Big Dogs infiltrate the Beer, Wings and Swings market successfully with a 16-8 victory margin. No 4 point scorers amongst the individuals in this one.
Dude, Where's My Par? wins the duel of long team names of the week over Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie 14.5-9.5. Again, no 4 point scoring here.
The Power Faders continue the misery of Designated Drivers? (with a question mark?) into a new season, for the winless group of last season are still looking for one after a 13.5-10.5 score line. No 4s.
Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's soften up The Stiff Knockers 12.5-11.5. No 4 pointers here either.
First draw of the season waits for no weeks, the first one is here during week 1 as The Burnt Edges outshoot Kettles by 6 but end up tied 12-12 in points, making us wonder if something was broken. One more inclusion to the 4 Point Club here as Santos gets 4 for Kettles.
Top Score, individual / team: Stivers -78 / Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's -320 4 Point Club: Stivers, Semsi, Santos
Leaderboard after week 1, not much to go off of just yet. In case of ties, the tiebreaker is always total shots under par, shown on the right next to points.

The Tee Collection 7 / -269
Sky Blue Tee (MVP) race, week 1: 4 pointers obviously lead the way, Stivers shot -78 so defending Sky Blue champ is up top for now.
Week 2 of the season is at, uhh... *checks TGC site* no, not there yet? *checks weather report* AHA! But who is it by... *checks courses page, filters by course name*... hmm. Okay, so this week is apparently at Chippewa Country Club by Ben Kolbe. There we go. No, it's not the one that's similar in name to a course that exists IRL somewhere in Ohio, this one is not real. What is real, however, is the line of matches that we have here in week 2 out of 11:
2 A: 9. Designated Drivers? VS. 6. The Burnt Edges 2 B: 1. CamelThokies VS. 10. Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie 2 C: 7. Kettles VS. 3. Dude, Where's My Par? 2 D: 11. Beer, Wings and Swings VS. 5. Season 15 - week 2 recap
Chippewa Country Club is now behind us, so let's look at who chipped away some wins and who got the waaaa-mbulance treatment...
This week has 2 biggest wins so the one going first is the largest shot gap... meaning the season leaders heading into the week CamelThokies go first over Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie. Score was 16.5-7.5, shots were 303-249. No 4 point scorers, however.
The other 16.5-7.5 scoreline of the week sees Kettles burning up Dude, Where's My Par?. Shots were 286-265. This one, however, has a 4 point scorer as Kirk scores 4 from pool 3.
Beijing Big Dogs continue to be big after last week as they continue to push The Tee Collection towards the bottom 16-8. No 4 pointers here.
Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's smoked up some Beer, Wings and Swings by a score of 15-9. James scores the 4.
The Power Faders power through The Stiff Knockers 13.5-10.5. Townsend gets a 4 in this one.
And finally in the feel good story of the week, after 12 weeks of no winning spanning through the entirety of last season and week 1 of season 15, Designated Drivers finally get one by burning The Burnt Edges by a score of 12.5-11.5. No 4s for the occasion though.
Top score, individual / team: Collins -67 / CamelThokies -303 4 Point Club: Kirk, James, Townsend

Next up on the season 15 calendar is the winter holiday of week 3, taking place at Drinkwater Ski Resort by Thomas Petrocelli. Who goes hot this week, and who will freeze and have no water to drink because of it? Matchups of the week are the following and oh boy is there a doozy in here this week:

Season 15 - week 3
Very late night and drunken recap incoming your way (at least with this writer's time zone)! So what happened in week 3?
Kettles have defeated The Stiff Knockers by a score of 15-9. No 4 point scorers in this match up.

Dude, Where's My Par? smokes out Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's by a score of 13.5-10.5. Not one score of 4 here either.
Beer, Wings and Swings get one over their food rivals Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie by a score of 13-11. No 4s.
And in a cruel twist of fate, The Power Faders overcome a 24 shot disadvantage to win over The Burnt Edges by a score of 13-11. Townsend goes off with a 4.

Season 15 - week 4 recap
The journey of 11 weeks has gotten through 4 steps. Now let's see what went on around the HTF world...
Beijing Big Dogs are undisputedly the biggest winners this week (coincidentally on fictive but inspired home soil?), as their art of war is felt by The Stiff Knockers by a score of 19-5. Balcombe and Satterlee gun them down with 4 points.
CamelThokies are not to be left too far behind of their current rivals as they take out Dude, Where's My Par? 15.5-8.5. Stivers shoots 4, because at this point are we even surprised?
Kettles are burning hot right now, shutting down The Power Faders 14.5-9.5. Everard pulls out a 4 pointer for their team, leading by captain's example.
Next 2 are interesting. 14-10 scores for both, where The Burnt Edges take a 1 shot loss (302-301) to Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie, only to get the better of them in points. No 4 pointers.
A 4 shot deficit (329-325) means nothing anymore to the resurgent Designated Drivers who seem to now only win, burning down Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's by 14-10. Furgeson with a 4.
And in the close match of the week the team of Beer, Wings and Swings managed to narrowly throw out The Tee Collection by a score of 12.5-11.5, despite a 7 shot deficit (299-292). No 4s.
Top scores, individual / team: Collins -75 / Beijing Big Dogs -343 4 Point Club: Furgeson, Balcombe, Satterlee, Everard, Stivers
Leaderboard, week 4/11:
1. (=) CamelThokies 63.5 / -1281 2. (+1) Beijing Big Dogs 60.5 / -1264 3. (-1) Kettles 58 / -1232 4. (+2) Designated Drivers 51.5 / -1246 5. (-1) The Power Faders 49.5 / -1220 6. (+2) The Burnt Edges 48.5 / -1223 7. (-2) Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's 48 / -1272 8. (-1) Dude, Where's My Par? 44 / -1182 9. (+1) Beer, Wings and Swings 42.5 / -1218 10. (+1) Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie 38 / -1163 11. (-2) The Stiff Knockers 36 / -1155 12. (=) The Tee Collection 36 / -1131
Sky Blue Tee (MVP) race, week 4: 3 way tie for the lead as per usual this season so far, but stop me if you've heard or seen this: Stivers leads with 13 / -280. Santos and Townsend make up the rest of top 3.
Week 5 out of 11, nearing the halfway point coming up next week. Let us not look too far into the future though, as CC finds itself on a seemingly sneaky tough South Uist Golf Links by Graeme Wood. Now uis that coming up against the teams this week (bad pun alert, oops you already read it), let's find out!
5 A: 8. Dude, Where's My Par? VS. 6. The Burnt Edges 5 B: 5. The Power Faders VS. 1. CamelThokies 5 C: 12. The Tee Collection VS. 11. The Stiff Knockers 5 D: 7. Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's VS. 10. Season 15 - week 5 recap
This past week was the Nice Shot Championship, let's see who's sitting pretty up top this time around...
2 teams post the biggest win this week, so let's go in order of shot margin again: meaning Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's gets top priority as they grilled and burned Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie by a score of 16.5-7.5 (288-231). Prowse scores 4 points for the winning side.
Right behind them winning out once again are Designated Drivers, who had a fun excursion having a bit of Beer, Wings and Swings as they cruise to a 16.5-7.5 win as well (280-263). Murray scores 4 here.
Next up is a rarity: shots are 259-257 which would normally mean the team shooting better should win, yes? Wrong, as Dude, Where's My Par? take that 2 shot deficit and shove it against The Burnt Edges by a score of 16-8. No 4s here though.
In the 2 vs. 3 match of the week, Beijing Big Dogs come up, umm... big, as Kettles are left to feel their fury by a score of 15.5-8.5 (270-253). No 4s here either.
CamelThokies being the 1 team going into the week is not far behind either as they come out on top in a close match against The Power Faders 14-10 (283-284). Decicco (or is it Sweecy now?) gets 4 for the winners.
And last but certainly not least, the 11 vs. 12 match was a close affair which sees the 12 side The Tee Collection rally to a win over The Stiff Knockers 13-11 (246-246). As close as this was, no surprises that there are no 4s here.
Top scores, individual / team: Collins -66 / Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's -288 4 Point Club: Decicco, Prowse, Murray
Leaderboard after week 5/11:
1. (=) CamelThokies 77.5 / -1564 2. (=) Beijing Big Dogs 76 / -1534 3. (+1) Designated Drivers 68 / -1526 4. (-1) Kettles 66.5 / -1485 5. (+2) Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's 64.5 / -1560 6. (+2) Dude, Where's My Par? 60 / -1439 7. (-2) The Power Faders 59.5 / -1504 8. (-2) The Burnt Edges 56.5 / -1482 9. (=) Beer, Wings and Swings 50 / -1481 10. (+2) The Tee Collection 49 / -1377 11. (=) The Stiff Knockers 47 / -1401 12. (-2) Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie 45.5 / -1394
Sky Blue Tee (MVP) race, week 5: gone from 3 ways to a tie to 4. New leader emerges as Townsend has the tiebreak at 15.5 / -311, leading the way over the pack of Decicco, Barnes and Balcombe.
So now we enter week 6, official halfway point of the HTF season. Once you have finished round 2, congrats as you have cleared 5.5 weeks and enter the second half! Those that have played Kinetic the last 2 weeks might have ideas as to what to expect this week as CC heads out to Cooleshall GC by Allan Eastwood (designer behind the last 2 Kinetic courses). Week 6 has these following cool as hell offerings for matches:
6 A: 9. Beer, Wings and Swings VS. 4. Kettles 6 B: 8. The Burnt Edges VS. 10. The Tee Collection 6 C: 2. Beijing Big Dogs VS. 12. Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie 6 D: 3. Designated Drivers VS. 11. The Stiff Knockers 6 E: 1. CamelThokies VS. 5. Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's 6 F: 7. The Power Faders VS. 6. Dude, Where's My Par?
Best of luck and onwards to the second half, cheers!

Season 15 - week 8 recap
3 weeks to go, and time is running out for some to make a run for it... let's see who's still breathing fine this week.
There always seems to be at least 1 team for every season consisting of soldiers of misfortune, and the evidence of it this week is found here as Beer, Wings and Swings continue the losing misery of The Stiff Knockers 17-7 (297-266). Nixon scores 4 points.
Kettles were burning brighter over Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's, by a scoreline of 15-9 (261-269, yes a losing shot margin but winner in points scored). Kirk goes for 4 this week.
CamelThokies have been steady so far this season (writer's jinx going forward?) and continues to be so over The Burnt Edges 14-10 (266-246). No 4 point scorers.
And so too have been Beijing Big Dogs who finally end the new winning ways of Designated Drivers 14-10 (252-258) in the big match of the week as it was 2 vs. 3 heading in. No 4s.
A small spanner has been tossed and placed on the grill as Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie make the tee hunt of The Power Faders a tiny bit more difficult. Score was 13.5-10.5 (242-242), no one scored 4.
And finally, Dude, Where's My Par? gets by The Tee Collection by a score of 13-11 (247-237). No 4 pointers here.
Top scores, individual / team: Azallion -65 / Beer, Wings and Swings -297 4 Point Club: Kirk & Nixon
Leaderboard, 8 weeks done out of 11:
1. (=) CamelThokies 119 / -2442 2. (=) Beijing Big Dogs 113 / -2385 3. (=) Designated Drivers 107.5 / -2411 4. (+2) Kettles 105 / -2351 5. (-1) Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's 101.5 / -2433 6. (-1) The Power Faders 101 / -2360 7. (+1) Beer, Wings and Swings 93 / -2404 8. (-1) The Burnt Edges 91.5 / -2370 9. (=) Dude, Where's My Par? 86 / -2257 10. (=) The Tee Collection 83.5 / -2207 11. (=) Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie 81 / -2227 12. (=) The Stiff Knockers 70 / -2230
Sky Blue Tee (MVP) race, week 8: with a week that he had (and arguably some circumstances of previous week's leader), Kirk leaps out to the front with 24.5 / -485. Minor gap to the next ones as Barnes (-417) and Fowler (-412) follow with 23 points each.
Week 9 looks to be a shooting gallery of low scores based on the very little evidence we currently have. It takes place at Mount Milly by Eric Perego. Shoot low or shoot high, but at the end of the day you're shooting against these teams right here:
9 A: 5. Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's VS. 2. Beijing Big Dogs 9 B: 9. Dude, Where's My Par? VS. 3. Designated Drivers 9 C: 4. Kettles VS. 1. CamelThokies 9 D: 7. Beer, Wings and Swings VS. 6. The Power Faders 9 E: 11. Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie VS. 10. The Tee Collection 9 F: 12. The Stiff Knockers VS. 8. The Burnt Edges
Good luck, you might need it here!

Season 15 - week 9 recap
Scores galore in Mount Milly, and with that plenty of close action in points...
Beijing Big Dogs are still giving chase for the top prize, this week tossing aside Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's by a score of 16.5-7.5 (379-353). Homerick comes out with a 4 point score for the Dogs.
So far we're going in sheet order from A to B as Designated Drivers are back to winning from an off week, Dude, Where's My Par? being the victim 14-10 (363-362). Interesting here, Hernandez and Moore with 4 on the Drivers, Oakey with 4 for the... Par?
Now we're heading into a logjam to finish the week, and since the next 2 have a 14 shot gap each, the 2nd tie breaker for top honors gets used (total shots under par). CamelThokies are still winning over Kettles 13.5-10.5 (357-343). Decicco with 4 for Thokies.
The Burnt Edges are also winning 13.5-10.5 with a 14 shot gap (346-332), they take out the unfortunate warriors of the season The Stiff Knockers. This one, however, has no one scoring 4.
And 2 more tied scores to wrap things up, first up The Power Faders down some Beer, Wings and Swings at a 13-11 score (353-342). Once again there's a scorer of 4 on both sides as Floyd has it for the Faders, Horan for the Swings.
And in the closest bout of the week Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie just about gets it done over The Tee Collection 13-11 (352-348). And in a close one like this, no surprises for no 4s.
Top scores, individual / team: Horan -80 / Beijing Big Dogs -379 4 Point Club: Homerick, Hernandez, Moore, Oakey, Decicco, Floyd, Horan
Leaderboard at week 9 out of 11 as we're approaching the final moments of the season, this week sees hardly any big movements:
1. (=) CamelThokies 132.5 / -2799 2. (=) Beijing Big Dogs 129.5 / -2764 3. (=) Designated Drivers 121.5 / -2774 4. (=) Kettles 115.5 / -2694 5. (+1) The Power Faders 114 / -2713 6. (-1) Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's 109 / -2786 7. (+1) The Burnt Edges 105 / -2716 8. (-1) Beer, Wings and Swings 104 / -2746 9. (=) Dude, Where's My Par? 96 / -2619 10. (=) The Tee Collection 94.5 / -2555 11. (=) Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie 94 / -2579 12. (=) The Stiff Knockers 80.5 / -2562
Sky Blue Tee (MVP) race, week 9: Kirk still leads despite his 2 point week as his closest chasers fell into the same trap. His score is 26.5 / -542. Decicco moves to 2nd with 25.5 / -525, Barnes and Fowler are now in 3rd and 4th with 25 while being 2 shots apart.
Week 10 is taking place at Meteora Golf Club by a rather interesting name, Pat O'Dell. This guy has been around the designer scene for a long while but haven't seen a lot of his courses on tour. Thought it was a notable thing for the week. Anyway, which teams are rising like a comet heading into the finale, and who crashes down like a meteor? Week 10 has these matches:
10 A: 9. Dude, Where's My Par? VS. 2. Beijing Big Dogs 10 B: 6. Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's VS. 7. The Burnt Edges 10 C: 12. The Stiff Knockers VS. 11. Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie 10 D: 5. The Power Faders VS. 10. The Tee Collection 10 E: 1. CamelThokies VS. 8. Beer, Wings and Swings 10 F: 4. Kettles VS. 3. Designated Drivers
Cheers, good luck!

Season 15 - week 10 recap
One more week to go, but before that let's catch up on the week that was!
2 teams score a same big win margin this week, but by power of bigger shot margin The Power Faders power themselves up in the tee contention at the expense of The Tee Collection 16.5-7.5 (285-238). Townsend and Tipton score 4 points for the team.
Elsewhere, season leaders CamelThokies have put 1 dagger to other gold tee hopefuls with another good win over Beer, Wings and Swings 16.5-7.5 (322-296). Stivers scores 4, are you surprised?
Although, it wasn't just the season leaders putting daggers and spanners in the works as Dude, Wheres My Par? knocks off the current second placers Beijing Big Dogs 14-10 (309-303). No 4s.
As everyone knows, there's smoke where there's fire. And where there's Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's, there's The Burnt Edges that burned them just that little bit too much. Edges win 13-11 (285-289). No 4s here either.
A whopping 2 ties this week, first off the list is the one with a bigger shot margin. Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie shoots better as a unit, but The Stiff Knockers hold firm for a tie at 12-12 (302-296). No 4s.
And in a rare case of both teams holding off their chances of tees heading into final week, Designated Drivers and Kettles settle for a friendly tie of 12-12 (302-300). No 4s in this either.
Top scores, individual / team: Gilmore -75 / CamelThokies -322 4 Point Club: Townsend, Tipton, Stivers
Leaderboard at week 10/11. 5 teams in the thick of tee battles with the leader on a breakaway which leads to them needing just 1 more solid win to seal it all away. 2 teams are hoping for Hail Marys to salvage something. 5 bottom teams can pretty much forget all about it.
1. (=) CamelThokies 149 / -3121 2. (=) Beijing Big Dogs 139.5 / -3067 3. (=) Designated Drivers 133.5 / -3076 4. (+1) The Power Faders 130.5 / -2998 5. (-1) Kettles 127.5 / -2994 6. (=) Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's 120 / -3075 7. (=) The Burnt Edges 118 / -3001 8. (=) Beer, Wings and Swings 111.5 / -3042 9. (=) Dude, Where's My Par? 110 / -2928 10. (+1) Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie 106 / -2881 11. (-1) The Tee Collection 102 / -2793 12. (=) The Stiff Knockers 92.5 / -2858
Sky Blue Tee (MVP) race, week 10: Kirk is still hanging on with his 29 / -598, but danger looms in the shadows... Stivers rallies up the standings after his week 8 shambles, while Decicco and Townsend are also there with him, all at 28.5 points. Fowler and Barnes are at 28 and arguably in the toughest spot with their tiebreakers, and while there are more candidates that could still win they need everything to go right.
Week 11, the final of HTF season 15 in terms of the "regular season" (just the teams). Welcome one and all to Dismal Ridge Trail by Christian Andrade. For what the course is named, this final week will not be dismal as it holds 3 matches with big implications for tee fighting, highlighted in italics:
11 A: 4. The Power Faders VS. 2. Beijing Big Dogs 11 B: 1. CamelThokies VS. 3. Designated Drivers 11 C: 11. The Tee Collection VS. 6. Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's 11 D: 9. Dude, Where's My Par? VS. 12. The Stiff Knockers 11 E: 5. Kettles VS. 10. Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie 11 F: 7. The Burnt Edges VS. 8. Beer, Wings and Swings
Good luck one more time this go around!

Season 15 - week 11 recap
And that's the final week of season 15 complete! Let's see how it went and how things got finalized...
Kettles entered the week as a slight outsider to tee contention but not too far off, and makes it interesting by defeating Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie 17.5-6.5 (296-251). Talley manages to end his season with 4 points.
The Burnt Edges, meanwhile, manage to end their season strongly as well but with no tee reward, taking down another midfielder Beer, Wings and Swings 17-7 (322-288). Somehow, this does not have a 4 pointer.
Dude, Where's My Par? piles one more miserable week to count them all on The Stiff Knockers who end up winless, score was 15.5-8.5 (304-290). No 4 scorers here as well.
The Power Faders were contenders for tees heading in and did remain so with a timely win over Beijing Big Dogs 14.5-9.5 (319-301). Tipton finds a way to get to 4.
CamelThokies had to just take care of business this week and so they did over another tee contender Designated Drivers 14-10 (300-296). No 4 pointers.
Last and not least, The Tee Collection goes over Smokin Trees & Strokin 3's by a score of 13-11 (278-296). While this was a match of not much stakes, Budel of the Collection ends with 4, so did Prowse on the other end.
Top scores, individual / team: Bordeaux - 72 / The Burnt Edges -322 4 Point Club: Tipton, Budel, Prowse, Talley
Final leaderboard below. CamelThokies had a healthy lead and did their thing to secure the win on the 15th season, taking home the Golden Tees. Beijing Big Dogs still had enough for second despite the final week loss and they take home Silver Tees. Meanwhile, drama on the last possible moment as a score delay and 1000 recounts finally sees The Power Faders rise up and narrowly defeat another riser in Kettles by tiebreaker, -3317 to -3290. Thus, they finish 3rd and get the Bronze Tees.
1. (=) CamelThokies 163 / -3421 2. (=) Beijing Big Dogs 149 / -3368 3. (+1) The Power Faders 145 / -3317 4. (+1) Kettles 145 / -3290 5. (-2) Designated Drivers 143.5 / -3372 6. (+1) The Burnt Edges 135 / -3323 7. (-1) Smoking Trees & Strokin 3's 131 / -3371 8. (+1) Dude, Where's My Par? 125.5 / -3232 9. (-1) Beer, Wings and Swings 118.5 / -3330 10. (+1) The Tee Collection 115 / -3071 11. (-1) Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie 112.5 / -3132 12. (=) The Stiff Knockers 101 / -3148
Sky Blue Tee (MVP), final: Kirk sees off the challengers and leads things home to win the Sky Blue Tee honors for season 15, finishing with 32 points / -658. Stivers nearly came back from his week 8 woes but finishes 2nd at 31 / -698, Barnes has a steady season and ends up 3rd with 31 / -575.
SOTS Cup is still to go. Qualifiers are this week, send out scores like usual if you wish to try to qualify. Open to ALL HTF members including the present, past, in waiting, sub list, everyone that has ever taken part or is about to be. After the qualifying, 16 top scores head off into the matchplay bracket the following week, to see who is victorious and gets the Red Striped Tee. Scorecards are a must there if you qualify, and certain deadlines apply. Here's the following schedule, although...
Week 1, qualifying: Tequesta Creek by Ben Anderson
Week 2, SOTS Cup tournament: unknown course as of morning, March 25th
Thank you one and all for reading again, see you soon for season 16!

Season 16 - week 0 / intro
IS IT ABOUT TO BE THAT TIME AGAIN? IS IT? WHY AM I YELLING? NO IDEA!
*ahem*
Hi, I'm your usual (in)sane reporter, writer and oh so maniacal trier Tomi. Welcoming you back once more, once again into another season opening introduction. Season 16 of Happy Tee Friends is set to begin again in a matter of hours. After the SOTS Cup has been settled, once again these fine golfers gather up into teams, like usual. What makes things interesting this time around is that we are running into some historical territory, as...
9 WEEKS. 80 PLAYERS. 10 TEAMS. 8 PLAYERS PER TEAM. 4 ROUNDS PER WEEK. REPORTS. MADNESS. CHAOS. PLENTY OF SCORES. EXCLAMATION MARKS. FIRE EMOJIS. STUFF. THINGS.
Yup, we are very likely to break plenty of HTF records of many kinds this season, only time will tell when and what those will be.
BIG NAMES. FAMILIAR FACES. THE USUALS. FRESH RECRUITS. EVERYONE. EVERYTHING. THIS MAKES CONTINUOSLY LESS SENSE.
Let's meet the course and the teams starting their adventures on the CC-iest of circuits, wait that makes no sense, in week 1. Donnybrook Cricket Club is the name of game, or course, made by the name of Axel Von Fersen. He is a designer, don't you know. And here are the lineups for week 1 (team names that are missing filled in once they're around):
1 A: The Power Faders VS. Team F 1 B: It's The Caddy's Fault VS. Team G 1 C: CamelThokies VS. Tour De Fore-ce 1 D: Putt Pirates VS. Six Nation Army 1 E: 9th Green at Nine VS. Dude Where's My Parrrr
GOOD LUCK! HAVE FUN! ... what do you mean I don't have to shout? GOTTA BUILD THE HYPE!

Season 16 - week 1 recap Welcome back to our usual recapping shenanigans. Plenty of differences this season as you will see! Historical start to the recaps as 2 records get broken in 1: points scored in a single week has been broken as Dude, Where's my Parrrr scores the previous maximum of 24 points over 9th Green at Nine, taking this one 24-8. Shots were -416 to -366, those first digits are also the highest under par score for a single week in HTF history, beating the previous mark of -399 set all the way back in season 8. To celebrate the occasion, Titots and Timinis score 4 points for their team. Six Nation Army starts their march of the season also in pretty much never before seen way, dispatching the team of Putt Pirates 20.5-11.5 (shots were 407-364). Previously a 20.5 point haul would have almost guaranteed a 4 point scorer, but with new season and more people in the mix, no 4 pointers here! Tie breaker time! Two similar scores, who gets top dibs? Well usually I would go with the larger shot gap going first. And so it will go here, for better or for worse, as, sigh... CamelThokies begin the gold tee defense over Tour De Fore-ce by a score of 18.5-13.5 (410-376). Sucks to be them though, as no 4 pointers are here! (not biased, trust me) Couple team names were still being looked out for, one found the destination in time to celebrate a victory as former Team F, currently Bourbon, Wings and Swings, gets one over The Power Faders 18.5-13.5 (398-390). And would you look at that, bourbon and wings for one Mr. Kirk who gets 4 points. Closest match to kick the season off sees, hmm... Team G pick up a win over It's The Caddy's Fault (is it the caddy's fault that a team name is still missing?) by a score of 18-14 (380-390, first time this season a winning team has less shots). Captain Robertson gets 4 points, maybe he can use those points to cash in on a team name? Wink wink, nudge nudge. NEW AND IMPROVED LEADERBOARDS AND NOTABLES FOR WEEK ONE! Week 2 of the season of the 16th kind is at Kingfisher Island by Roy Skinner. There doesn't seem to be a lot in this designer catalogue outside of this course so natural to assume it's his first foray into tour action. Yay! Week 2 and the matchups look a bit like this: 2 A: 2. Six Nation Army VS. 7. The Power Faders 2 B: 9. Putt Pirates VS. 4. Bourbon, Wings and Swings 2 C: 3.CamelThokies VS. 6. It's the Caddy's Fault 2 D: 10. 9th Green at Nine VS. 5. Team G 2 E: 1. Dude, Where's My Parrrr VS. 8. Tour De Fore-ce Best regards, best of luck, and best of cheers to all!

Season 16 - week 2 recap Onto week 3... oh, but first we need to look at what happened in week 2. This has been a fairly close week but wasn't so here at the top mention. The previously named Team G has found inspiration with a name change to perform this week as The Ball Caressers take care of business against the currently beaten down 9th Green at Nine 23.5-8.5 (448-411). No surprises to see some 4 pointers here as Lauzé and Sevcik take those honors home. Dude Where's My Parrrr continues a good start of form against Tour De Fore-ce 19-13 (451-429). Overall it was a decent team effort, but for the squad of force they can take great feelings from denying any 4 pointers from joining the weekly club. From here the margins become slimmer. CamelThokies (at least in team name) are looking to continue the run to the top as they knock down It's the Caddy's Fault 17.5-14.5 (452-438). Nobody scores a 4 to join the fun club (no payment needed either!). Shots are close in the next one. Putt Pirates just about get a (peg?) leg up on their opponents Bourbon, Wings and Swings 17-15 (435-434). The pirate crew may feel robbed that no one gets 4 but so is how it went. And now for something a little weird. We have a scoring under par record which did not get a win as Six Nation Army is the record setter without a win. The Power Faders realized that the points matter, so they take it 16.5-15.5 (447-468). Weldon does score 4 for the Army. NOTABLES AND LEADERBOARD CHECKS: (NR in the "last week" spot (Not Ranked) means that the writer did not take the copy of standings after week 1 until he remembered later, next week should have accurate updates) Week 3 of HTF is neither here, nor there. It hasn't popped up there (TGC website), but it has popped up into the society and weather report though, so we're headed there, into Norterra by Adam Grove. Let's see who's here to play this week and who won't be there to celebrate the sweet victory after week 3, with all these matches to come: 3 A: 8. Putt Pirates VS. 10. 9th Green at Nine 3 B: 6. The Power Faders VS. 2. The Ball Caressers 3 C: 5. Bourbon, Wings and Swings VS. 9. Tour De Fore-ce 3 D: 7. It's the Caddy's Fault VS. 3. Six Nation Army 3 E: 1. Dude Where's My Parrrr VS. 4. CamelThokiesCheers again, and best of luck!
