I enjoy it for the most part, but I am on PS4. The last couple of CC tournaments I've managed to find a groove and achieve a high percentage of perfects or just in the grey area either side, which led to a top 5 finish both times in CC-E. I'm not doing anything particularly special, just practice over time and found that groove that works for me. My short game has improved a fair bit over the last month or so as well. Sometimes I'll deliberately hit a fast to counteract wind or if the hole shapes that way, but I don't aim for slows because I'd most likely take it way too slow and stuff the shot anyway.
It certainly has its flaws but at this point not enough to take away from my enjoyment playing it.

Shot -34 last week on CC playing only for perfect with my first 59 I've ever carded in this game. Anytime i take a break my tempo goes to crap but playing once a day and warming up and I can hit perfect fairly consistently, I just cant putt still lol

My tempo was a little off today in the first round but I didn't really play over the weekend. It was better in the second round which I haven't finished yet. Putting was annoying today, so many just skirting the hole. However, it's all good. After last week's effort I got promoted up to CC-D.

All things that are bad competition wise, Red fast swing, complete imbalance of consoles the absolute worst thing for me is the amount of times the game crashes playing skins, alt shot and match play on the Xbox1x. I used to blame it on the original xbox as it seems to be worse on it. But recently it's crashing on mine now. These days most games are created around playing live with others. On xbox 1 it is a struggle to finish a match without being booted. As Giraffe72 plays Friday Night Alt shot with us he can also have few choice words on this subject I'm Sure of it. I've recently come across a new glitch in the designer. When you brush heavy rough in a certain area you can save it and come back the next day and guess what? It's no longer there. It's inconsistent also. I go back and look right away after saving and exiting and go right back in and some places will have the brushed areas correct and some don't and there will be a bush or two where there wasn't previously. Crazy, as it's adding hours to making the course. As for game play. I always strive for perfects and really enjoy playing societies before going to work early AM. Mostly 2 rds a day is all I can Muster. This week I played a CCA event for the first time in 4 weeks. Made cut on the line. First made cut after 3 straight missed cuts. Sadly I believe more and more lesser players than me have switched to the red fast swing and are rocketing past me on the leaderboards. I won't give up playing this game. However, I will no longer preorder a game from HB Studios. The crap they pulled off this year with the Steam only streamers was garbage. I'll go by word of mouth next game and wait a few months and get it half price. Also for all the folks getting the series X and all it's problems with PGA 2k21. Sorry to say this but In the Xbox store for all the recent games they have symbol on them showing they are Series X enhanced some more than 2 years old. Not so with PGA 2k21. Hopefully HB gets it sorted out but I have no faith in them whatsoever.

Gameplay STINKS. Designer is fine. Still has its issues too, but is an improvement over the last game at the minimum.
