Option 4.
Would have been 3 but I feel game was not tested well enough to release in first place never mind glitches.
Won't buy next one before reviews.

As with all other TGC titles in the franchise, I think it's "very very very close" to being a tremendous golf sim. Game's a blast at the small group level, but the tempo roulette, set-up dependent variance and red fast difficulty loophole are the major faults for 2K21 imo. Assessing the competitiveness enjoyment is difficult because players are playing two different games. Somehow requiring the highest levels (K, E, & P for example) to actually attempt Perfect tempo would go a looong way in improving competition. An API catch for tee-balls on par 4s and 5s would be a start. Is getting a Perfect/Gray difficult? Yes. But once Master difficulty was announced and players figured out Red Fasts were more easily repeatable, any efforts to improve achieving Perfect tempo were abandoned. And I get all of the arguments about harmful slows, we shouldn't dictate how others play, yadda yadda, but the same players crying that getting Perfect is too difficult are probably also the same players that haven't attempted a Perfect since the game's first week. Knocking it around using a mishit/shank on a golf sim defies logic, but hey that's just me. If you're playing well by swinging poorly, are you actually playing well? The problem is glaring when you realize that clubs with lower forgiveness attributes are actually beneficial to the Red Fast player. Nobody can convince me that competition wouldn't improve by the implementation of random results for red mishits. More people would probably stop playing Master consistently and participation might suffer, but Pro difficulty level can be damn fun. Perhaps a finicky golf sim series with data collection to the third decimal point is just better suited enjoyment-wise for local/small society play with your buddies. ^^This. Couldn't have said it better myself. I have little faith in HB to address the Red Fast abuse and even less faith that people that utilize it will stop for any reason. Its nearly impossible for the TGCT Admin to police in my mind and I feel for them being put in the position they are. If the formula for the API pull was along the lines of if tee shot = fast and FIR = yes it would result in a lot of unfair pulls. Then it would have to be perhaps a certain amount of them and it becomes arbitrary and would still be abused IMO. Maybe it could be something similar to the straight line pull now as in if a player achieves the same off tempo (fast) consistently too many times in a round they could be pulled but then you would see bottom of the board players getting pulled shooting like +6 with no perfects all round. Its incredibly tough and I feel extremely bad for them. Playing with swing timing off is just dull and pointless IMO and don't really like opening that can of worms so I'll just leave it at that. It's all in HB's court and It would appear they are more into posting dumb stuff on social media than fixing the game for the people who have supported the series for nearly a decade. All they need to do is randomize fasts and slows within a small parameter. Like instead of it being exactly "x" fast equals exactly "y" yards left it allows for a range like "x" fast equals a random distance within a square range (say 4 or 5 square yards) with the square of potential getting larger the worse it gets. Hopefully that makes sense but the main premise is just that instead of an exact result every time it becomes random within a contained rational amount. Probably will never happen and I'm just wasting my time writing this but what can ya do. Getting anything even approaching consistent perfect or close to on Xbox is VERY difficult. I tried for perfect for the first month of the game and it certainly wasn't a fun experience. The fast is the only way I can reasonably play this game. As for TGC 2019, on Xbox it was a terrible game with Master clubs. I was glad to see the back of it.

I don't know if this belongs here but I got the Microsoft Xbox series x and I am playing the golf club on it and the following is happening when I play.
No 60 fps when the machine is capable of running it, I know HB won't address that question in the forums.
I am getting glitches on my swing anywhere and anytime on the course.
I am getting glitches when I am putting sometimes causing me a stroke.
I even tried using my xbox x controller but with the same results and I uninstalled and reinstalled the game with the same results.
Any xbox series x golfers have these same problems and how do we get HB to fix it.

HB destroyed "this game" by not fixing glitches, rather than "my love of game" by not fixing glitches. I'd go back, pick up and continue TGC 2019 in a heartbeat and scrap this current game if my local chums were all in on this idea. I think if they took the best parts of all the games and melded them together they would have something. I personally felt TGC2 had the best swing and tempo penalties of them all. I just wanted to add the splash is ridiculously overpowered in this game. Chipping is a close second but can live with it.

To me the problem with this series of games has always been the greens being too firm. Watch a golf tournament and then play this game. The greens are nowhere near the same thing. I would much prefer for the tempo to be difficult and challenging (maybe closer to legend) but the greens to be receptive and able allow an 8 iron to sit quickly. A 5 iron has no chance most times. Lots of times nice shots aren’t really rewarded because it isn’t possible by the layout of the green. Just my two cents. I’ve really liked most things with the new game once they tweaked the putting though.

I'm trying to think positively in that 2k22 might be what we are all waiting for. I'm still hopeful that they will actually still FIX the current problems we have, the biggest for me being the constant dis-connects and game crashes when trying to play online multiplayer. Outside of the weekly TGC tourney- that's all I care to do. Play a few rounds with some buddies, but it's so broken.
Other than that, I think it would be nice to have a more in-depth career mode.
I still play a lot - because I love the sport and apparently am a glutton for punishment.

I play for perfect and am down in CC-G, it's real fun down here for a noob. The course designer is at its all time best but the game seems to require more consistent play to get tempo down, I play a little everyday and my tempo is really showing signs of improvement. Getting promo marks every week!

I for one think this poll is flawed. Five choices to the question, four choices are of a negative bend.
Yes the game is flawed, but so was 2K19. and TGC2 (did not really play TGC).
I for one enjoy the challenge of learning the new swing mechanics of 2K21. Visually it is an improvement over 2K19.
Yes there are plenty of things they either broke or did not fix. But overall I like it.
Not voting because I do not see the appropriate answer for me. Obviously leaning towards the positive answer, but my enthusiasm for the game is not quite there.
Onward!

Umm, you realize "greens too firm" is on whover is setting up your tourneys. Not HB's fauLt ... they provided super easy settings for course and swing mechanic if that's how you want to play it

I am with you Art, this poll is clearly skewed toward getting the answer the pollster wants, much like many of the political polls this year. If the above poll had something like "think it has faults but I still think it is better than 2019" I would check that box, but otherwise "none of the above" for me.

one thing that annoys me in career mode tbh
how many times in game pro's like JT etc when leading or chasing gets an eagle on long par 4's
i have my game set at normal for in game standard , last week ina tourney JT was -8 after 5 holes with 3 eagles and just 1 x par 5 in those opening 5 holes

Pretty slanted poll if you as me. 4 negative answers and one positive. I guess we know where then OP stands. This is more like trolling especially when you can have more then one negative vote

Can’t believe someone would pursue an opinion poll on a golf video game online forum without first assuring objective standards. For shame!
