New PC has been delayed so soldiering on with my laptop spazzing out. Very concerned now about memory - sitting at 91.3% full. Does anybody know how memory works with buildings and non nature items? I've only added a few other rocks recently and it's jumped up very quickly from 80% on the last few holes, literally praying that it relents a little as I haven't even added things like markers, benches, signs and the usual stuff yet. As for object meter, think I'm on track - 40% full with 13 holes planted with trees, fences and foliage and 8 holes left to go plus 5 holes of perimeter work (2 of these won't be seen up close on either of the main routings so won't need to be as detailed as some other areas. I still have to do all of the grasses and lake detail but I'm pretty confident I'm on track here. Just finished the 12th hole of the members routing, a downhill 122 yarder with a tiny green, it's been rumoured this hole will return to the routing for the US Open in 2022 at the expense of the 4th hole, Gill Hanse is apparently reclaiming some of the green to add "interesting" pin placements so I'm keeping my eye on that.

I've been noticing some kind of odd yo-yo'ing going on with my object meter. I'm making a tournament version of one my courses and it was holding steady at 70ish percent with almost all objects already in place and I opened it last night and it was up over 90%. Not sure if you're seeing something similar with the memory meter.

Definitely have this issue with object meter, it normally sorts itself out if you plant something or delete and then returns to normal, the memory thing has always been like this however. I hope it’s lying to me! I’m trying to stick to theme objects but might need to replace a few things just to get this over the line, worst case it’ll get released on 2k22 🤣

Wow. So good. That last pic, looking backwards... Thanks Leon, it's getting there - will look so much better once the long grass starts going in, still haven't play tested it yet but I'm certainly looking forward to it!

Busy day on this today, no real work and bad weather helped productivity for this but not a lot else! Still at 91% on the memory and that looks to be holding firm now, I should be able to use that 9% on markers, benches, signs, cars etc. for the members routing as I feel these things are essential when no stadia is involved. I can then probably delete all of those items and replace with stadia for the championship routing. At 51% on the object meter with 16,17,18 to go with trees, all of the grass planting and then minor details and background. Feeling pretty good about that 49% of objects I have up my sleeve. Means I can really go to town on this later. Normally I'm struggling at this stage but binning the multi planting in favour of targeted copy-paste-rotate-resize which seems to be keeping me at a low %. Anyway, have some photos: Aerial shot of the plot; 14th tee shot, cracking uphill par 5 for the members at a getable 525 yards. In the US Amateur in 2013 they played this hole as a 508 yard par 4 which was pretty brutal! There hasn't been confirmation yet of how it will be played in the 2022 US Open but there's been rumours that the 9th (members par 5) will be played as a par 4 which makes me think they will play this as a reachable par 5 at 525 or perhaps slightly longer. This photo doesn't do it justice but the 14th green is tough, it slopes severely back to front with a massive false front and steep hill at the front. Will be shaving this bank for the championship version. A view back down the fairway taking in many of TCC's incredible facilities; 15th hole is a long, downhill par 4 that plays 492 from the tips, the tee shot is a lot more daunting from the back; Members tee: View back from the green:

This is still going FYI, just been battling with the feel of the fescue and the overall theme after testing an early Beta - I'm taking one step backwards but hopefully half a dozen forward!
Unfortunately that does mean this won't be done any time soon! Hopefully it'll be worth the wait

I'm lucky to have the inside track on this design, and I'm excited by his little change of tack that he's going for.
Will defo by worth the wait.

Hopefully it'll be worth the wait would you be willing to allow help I would love to help in anyway I could Thanks Dude, I think I'm back on track now, just took a lot of experimenting. Decided to use a desert bush buried to the tips to help it render from the tee better and then have used normal grasses over the top so it still looks normal=ish from mid to short range. It still looks patchy below but I'll complete the coverage later, just getting the distances dialled in with the size of the objects) Also, the bushes help scorch the surface to help with that "rugged feel" that TCC has. (ignore the brown surface2 lines, just using them as markers for planting)

Much happier with this result, once I've done some work with the heavy brush it should pop nicely, on hole 8 now but have done the largest areas, was painstaking rotating and resizing the desert bush around 400 times!

Thanks Leon, was frustrating having to delete 9 hours of playing because I wasn’t happy with the feel but I’m confident it’s coming good now and still haven’t lots of meter so hopefully plain sailing from here. Got some interesting ideas for the stadia too but I’ll keep that up the sleeve till the beta!
