Looks fantastic, Pat! This one is going to be epic. I've been waiting for someone to do this course and I know your work is impeccable. Keep at it. Thanks! It won’t be a quick release that’s for sure, I’m enjoying seeing it come together though so not feeling panicked to get finished, will just try to make sure it’s before the 2022 US Open haha! You got anything in the pipeline or are you having a well earned break? Actually I’m going to finish updating Colonial Country Club for 2K21 then I think I’m going to try to finish the Donald Ross Course at French Lick that I started back in the early days of TGC 2019.

Played this course a few months ago and pulled in the LIDAR for it when I got home. The land movement is great and the greens are wild, I would love to see the course in game, especially by somebody like you that will do it right. If you want any help on it, let me know. Also, Brookline is looking great paddy, had no idea you did St Enodoc as well. That’s probably my favorite LIDAR course in the game, guess I’ll have to play your others too. Mind if I ask where you get the U.K. LIDAR data from?

I am very biased but i feel the Data this site gives you in England, if the data if up to date seems spot on just a shame its really only costal courses it covers. environment.data.gov.uk/DefraDataDownload/?Mode=surveyJust goes to show really why the TGC brand is so good,i feel out the designers Lidar's the other one's are much better than that one....just shows nobody is right or wrong when it comes down to courses just all down to style and opinion.

I grew up about 30 miles from French Lick and played there once in high school. I finally got to go back there last summer to play and loved it. One of my favorite courses that I have played IRL. It’s about 60% done in 2K21.

I'll let you know when the beta is ready (probably 3-4 weeks) and you can play through and see if I've made mistakes - there's some areas you just can't get photos of, particularly at such private clubs. Thanks for the kind words about Enodoc, definitely one of my favourite courses IRL and it was fun trying to get the background looking half right with the estuary etc. West Hill is the one I'd recommend to try next, I think that's my best work so far and a great course if you like the oldies! Here's where I get my Lidar from: environment.data.gov.uk/DefraDataDownload/?Mode=surveyIt's really patchy but I think there's fresh data coming in November this year, I've certainly got my eye on a few courses that don't have data yet!

Agree with this. Paddy knows full well by now that stoke park is my favourite of his, and enodoc is probably my least favourite, but they're all crackers, and I'm guessing it's down to how they play for each person and the colour palettes, maybe.

I’d say West Hill all day long haha, I made an error on Stoke Park, I forgot to delete an area marked in surface 1 on the 9 you don’t play and now I can’t Un- see it haha, might release a tour version and address a couple of stoke park issues and improve

8 holes of the members routing planted, will be planting 27 holes in total, currently at 28.3% of the object meter and 86.6% on the memory. Aerial shot of progress; 7th tee shot. Brilliant par 3, love the green complex and could easily place 7-8 unique pins on it which I'll hopefully get to showcase in the two different releases of this course; A view back from the 7th green; Here's the tee shot on 8, a stout uphill par 4 that will have great views of the lake once fully dressed; Bit of New England rock exposure that you'll find throughout the course; View from the 8th green

So that 9th literally isn't played at all in the championship version?? (There's another complete hole?)
Or it's like a wildly different tee position or something?

So in the USGA routing they play 1-8 on the old layout and then skip 9 and 10 of the original routing and head down the par 5 11th (champ 9th) and then skip the original 12th hole and head down 13th (now 10th in Champs) before playing a 3 hole loop on the Rosemount 9 (2 long 4's and a 600 yard 5, the latter a normal 4 but with a random tee MILES back) before rejoining the original loop at 14 and playing to the finish. I'm planting the whole plot so I'll release the original routing first and then do a tournament version before re-releasing that version when the US Open comes round again in 2022 and gives us a whole new routing!

Been a while since my last update, 2 reasons; The 9th / 11th hole is a signature hole with lots of rock faces and natural bare exposed earth so I've had to use a tiny brush to dab in certain areas. I'm still just using exposed earth for the rock faces as I think it looks better than my attempt to create rock faces. If there are any "rocksperts" or "rock stars" out there who want to help me with this or send me a tutorial, it would be very well received, I've not had any courses that require this thus far (apart from building a stone wall at Enodoc that took @!$#ing ages, 4 hours just for a singular wall). Reason 2 is that my crap laptop is struggling and the designer is freezing constantly so it's like I'm working drunk all the time. Got a new PC coming next week so will probably hit full speed then, till then I'm having a break from this project and burning a hole in my lap with this inadequate laptop! Anyway, have some photos;
