Looking great! That's as good a clubhouse area as I've seen.
Will you be covering the bare spots with heavy rough texture to green it up? Also thoughts on fairway mow line width/intensity?

Thanks mate, yes will do the heavy rough with the brush once I've laid down the fescue grass at the end, I always do this last because I can evaluate the object meter - if I have loads I'll probably bury trees to change the colour of the fescue areas and use the heavy rough spline to create gradient. If I have no object meter, I won't! I'll just tidy up a few areas to keep uniform green. Will also look at all my textures in more detail at the end including mow pattern etc.

Had another busy day on this (getting the feeling I've got many many more ahead before we open the gates! Felt like I was building fencing all day today. two holes planted none the less and some very expensive houses completed; Here's an aerial shot to show you what's done so far; Members 2nd tee; View across to 2nd tee from 1st green View from the members tee (par 4) Championship tee (par 3)

Mate, that aerial shot is spectacular!
This is going to be just a fantastic addition to the real course catalogue. Can not wait.

Thanks mate, I hate it when the plot isn’t as full as possible and always feel the perimeter detail adds to the realism BUT it does take bloody ages to do. Hopefully I have enough object meter and memory, if not I’ll just have to store it till the next game haha

I know you're a perfectionist, I know you might not be able to get absolutely every last detail in there, but this course is going to play like a a dream, and look 95-100% perfect. It WILL be published!

I’ve vowed to use zero multiplanting anywhere which will hopefully help, it will take a long time but I’ve kind of admitted in my own head that this will be my jewel in the crown work so if it takes 400 hours, it takes 400 hours. Just need to keep doing some of my real job whilst I have this going on haha!

Just finished the clay pigeon shooting range, rest assured it's not open in the summer whilst golf is going on! Also decided I'm going to release the original course (members routing) before looking at tournament versions, the more I get to know this track the more I appreciate its terrain and natural feel, I think it needs to be enjoyed in its purest form, without people yelling mashed potato!

Started work on the 4th hole now which I really like, great short hole. Unfortunately it's making way in the next US Open for the short par 3 12th hole (which is good also to be fair), luckinly we are doing the members routing to start so you can play this hole! Here's the look from the tee, looks inviting here but wait thill the trees are added! What's worse is the original tee (still used occasionally) is in the bottom of the ravine and was very easy to thin your hickory shafted brassie straight into the bank which is overgrown, Francis Ouimet always felt if he could get that tee shot away, he would have a good day! Bit early on for a life and death moment during your round!

Pretty sure I've had enough of laying fences for a while, 5 of the first 6 holes are all around the outside of the course so I've had to do A LOT of fencing and building work which can be pretty tedious. Things move inland at 7 though so I'm looking forward to getting back to some tree planting which should move a little quicker

The more time I've spent on the 4th hole, the more annoyed I get it won't be on the US Open routing, it's just magnificent as a hole. A brilliant short 4. I've started building some "tree and bush farms" that I'll use on the perimeter woodland which you can see here, it's one thing I love about the new designer, the ability to copy and paste, it allows you to do large, detailed areas very quickly which is just fantastic. Here's the 4th hole with all trees planted, I'll be doing the grasses later which will make it pop more when finished;

Looks fantastic, Pat! This one is going to be epic. I've been waiting for someone to do this course and I know your work is impeccable. Keep at it.

It won’t be a quick release that’s for sure, I’m enjoying seeing it come together though so not feeling panicked to get finished, will just try to make sure it’s before the 2022 US Open haha! You got anything in the pipeline or are you having a well earned break?

So today I hit the 25% completion mark according to my object meter, in reality I've done a lot of the buildings and a decent amount of perimeter work and have just finished hole 6 (not including grasses which will be quite high on the object meter), feels like I'm on track with the meter, I am however at 85% on the memory but I've been reliably informed that if I don;t add many new objects I should be fine. That said, when it comes to adding Stadia for the championship version I'll probably need at least 10% spare. Anyway, here's the latest snaps; Members 5th tee, one of the hardest on the course, blind and that mound will be covered in heavy fescue by the time the gates open, 497 yards of the tips; 5th green complex, try not to hit it into the garden of the flats here on your approach; 6th tee shot, driveable par 4, smashing little golf hole; 6th green (please note, I'll be deleting that grey surface at the end, it's just an indicator of the tree line from OSM import, will also paint some of the brown patches
