Australian Championship Pro Am & Pro Societies
It's odd how sometimes you choose a course thinking it is going to be difficult and challenging after you test it out then place the course in the Society reduce the conditions a bit and suddenly everyone is shooting lights out!!!
Some record low scores for many people and while they were much lower than expected everyone played welll and the tournaments themselves were competitive. In the Pro Am event we had 63 entrants and everyone broke par which is fantastic to see.
Pro Am Results:
1. Iannazzo24 2. Doinitforjohnny 3. Field_Fairy11 3. Jimbo7722
Pro Results:

Outback Invitational - Pro Am & Pro Societies
Our 2 event tour of Australia produced so many low scores that on the flight back to the USA for the US Open @ Pinehurst has vowed never to be embarrassed like that again. Things might be a little different for the US Open tomorrow.
In the Ro Society event I did my best to finish last finishing 50th out of 52 competitors!! I am demoting myself back to Pro Am.
Pro Am Top 3
1. Whineycracker 2. BA_1078 3. Mojofugy9974
Pro Top 3
1. Alkitts81 2. Stupid_Smooth 3.. Philly620North
Pinehurst is hosting our first Major. A flat course that shows it's teeth with it's convex greens. Hopefully scores will return to more realistic levels. If not then expect ridiculous conditions at the next Major.

US Open Recap - Pro Am and Pro Societies
Pinehurst showed it's teeth with it's tricky greens and cleverly placed bunkers. Conditions were about the same for both Societies except in Round 3 the Pro's had to deal with higher winds.
Pro Am
In the Main Event Angry_518 (aka "The Greek Tiger") posted an early score of -24 and had to wait to see if the masses could catch him. He held on to win by 5 ahead of a trio at -19 and a large group just a few strokes further back. The Consolation event was won my new member Phlthy_Mickelson closely follwoed by 3 golfers 1 shot back and a pair 2 back.
Main Event 1. The Greek Tiger 2. DeleAllisBush 2. SabroMase716 2. Mojofugy8874
Consolation Event 1. PhlthyMickelson 2. Stevvecf330 2. Animalmother99x 2. Diego777obo
Pro Event
Steve_Ads and Corvettepro69 shared the win with DJflower 1 shot back in the Main event. The Consolation Final was dominated by 3 golfers who ran away from the field. Gav14cfc took with win by 1 shot over Oaklandish_Bros and Wardie002. These 3 will be subjected to drug testing for PED's (Putting Enhancing Drugs) before the next tournament.
Main Event 1. Steve_Ads 1. CorvettePro 3. DJFlower

Oregon Classic Review
2020 is a mess and it's fitting that the wind was going out of the East at Bandon, exactly the opposite to the normal prevailing wind.
We had a true rarity occur this week with the same player winning both the Pro Am and Pro events. Congratulations to Field_fairy11 for the great achievement. He will now only be playing on the Pro Tour as his score history indicates many rounds below -10.
Top 3 Finishers:
1. Field_fairy11 2. Corvettepros69 3. Thejoker50_74
Royal Country Down is hosting the next event.
Vegemite Shootout Review
Mr. Fairy pulled of a 1 shot win in this low scoring affair. We have 5 shootouts each season and it's a chance to shoot an insanely low score bfore getting back on the grind of the Tour.
Top 3 Finishers:
1. Field_Fairy11 2. Oaklandish_Bros 3. Flavin-90 3. Gav14cfc 3. Omahaak47 3. Wardie002
Los Angeles GC & C is hosting the next event. This club might be one of the most under rated courses in the world and will be stiff challenge.

Pro Am - Bushmills Open
Two world class links courses in a row for the Pro Am Society this time Royal County Down. The conditions were downright balmy for this event and the scores reflected it. Congratulations to Angry_518 for the victory. That is his 3rd of the season which means he will sit out the next 3 tournaments. He is eligible to return to action at our 2nd Major of the season "The Green Blazer". During his hiatus tour officials will be testing his clubs and he will be thoroughly examined for any performance enhancing substances.
Top 3
1. The Greek Tiger (Angrey_518) 2. Doinitforjohnny 3. Mjdowney117
Tour is now in Mexico for a rather easy resort course where the scores should be quite low if the winds do not kick up in the later afternoon.
LA Open
Many of the Pro's were thrown off their games by this diabolical course that has not 1 but 2 Par 3's over 250 yards!!! 54 of 55 entrants finished the event. Only one member was thrown off the property for making some rather unkind comments about the course to a spectator after taking a 10 on the 3rd hole. That spectator just happened to be the Club President.....oops. Congrats to new member Tompep1 for winning the LA Open.
Top 3
1. TomPep1 2. ALkitts81 3. BarryLavety 3. Mikewesty7 3. Sizzlean_74 3. Wardie002
4 of the Top 6 on the leaderboard were from UK/Ireland. They love their difficult courses.
Northern European Championship is now being played on a course with unbelievably narrow fairways. If their is no wind scores will be low but it we have a cross wind things could get messy because there is lots of water.

Tournament Summaries
Pro-Am - Mexican Championship
As expected the winds picked up on Day 2 and the Tournament Director unexpectedly moved the tees back which made the scores in the 2nd Round on average 5 strokes higher except in my case where I shot 12 shots higher. I am blaming the wind but I really should be blaming the Tequila that I consumed after shooting a brilliant -11 in Rd 1.
Congrats to SabreMase716 on his win h is now plying his trade on the Pro Tour after a review of his scores revealed that more than 8 of his last 20 "ranked" rounds were under 62.
Top 3 finishers:
1. SabreMase716 2. Nico612000 3. BarryLavety
Pro Tour - Northern Europe Championship
Apparently in Scandinavia they like narrow fairways which brings to mind Sam Snead's famous quote..."The fairways were so narrow you had to walk down them single file".
Straight drives were the key to success and Slake_Moth clearly can hit them straight as he won his 2nd Tournament on the Pro Tour.
Top 3 finishers:
1. Slake_Moth 2. Oaklandlish_Bros 3. DjFlower28

Pro Am Society- Buick Shootout
Nothing builds your confidence quicker than playing a short course with no wind and soft greens. We all need that confidence because our next Major will test all our members.
Congratulations to our Top 3 finishers:
1. DCX_Vortex 2. Corvettepros69 2. Godfather70305
Both Tours are currently playing in the Par 3 Contest prior to "The Green Blazer" Major.
Pro Society - Guiness Cup
Portmarnock Golf Club north of Dublin hosted the Pro Society with Doinitforjohnny, Gav14cfc and DJflower all tieing for the lead.

Tournament Summaries
At the Green Blazer Major it's been a long standing tradition to hold a Par 3 contest the day before the actual tournament. This years event had calm winds in the morning for the first nice holes but in the afternoon the winds picked up and with it the scores started to get a little crazy. The 9th hole caused a few players fits and there were plenty of double bogies to dash the hopes of many.
Congratulations to the Top 3 finishers in both the Pro Am & Pro Societies. Incidentally both societies played the same conditions.
Pro Am - Green Blazer Par 3 Cup
1. Doinit forjohnny 2. Pinehillsgolfer6 2. Sweepingfoot6 (aka. the Tommy Bolt of Global Golf Tour due to his unpredictable play and temper)
Pro Society
1. DJFlower28 1. Steve_ads 3. Parbuster1962 (no that's not an error!!) 3. Wardie002
The Green Blazer tournament starts in a few hours. Pro Am members get an easy start in Rd 1 so go low because the remaining rounds will be a bit more challenging. The Pro Society are in for a struggle....high winds, rock hard greens that are about the speed of my driveway. DO NOT BE PAST THE PIN!!!!

Tournament Summary - "The Green Blazer"
Both the Pro Am and Pro Societies play the Majors at the same time. On the Global Golf Tour the Majors are split into a Main Event and Alternative Event. This gives members who are not normally in the Top 10 or 20 a chance to feel the pressure of competing for a win in the Alternative Event. The Main Event competed for the coveted Green Blazer while the Alternative Event competed for the stylish Green Cardigan.
Here are the Top 3 finishes in both events and tours:
Pro Am Society - Green Blazer 1. Dungarvoner_12 2. Doinitforjohnny 3. Parbuster1962 3. Tluck27 3. BarryLavety
Pro Am Society - Green Cardigan 1. Jish88 2. TheTwizzler1974 2. Traffic-8
Pro Society - Green Blazer 1. Djflower28 2. Field-fairy11 3. Sizzlean_74
Pro Society - Green Cardigan 1. Mouthful4mari 2. DCX_Vortex 2. Traffic-8
Congratulations to all the players the majority of whom were under par on a course that I rank in the top 3 real courses in terms of difficulty.

Tournament Recap
Pro Am - Society LA Open
The LA Open was a closely contested tournament on the ultra exclusive and tough Los Angeles G. C & C. I can't imagine the average member or guest playing these sloped and slick greens.
Congratulations to our Top 3 finishers:
1. Animalmother99x 1. Whineycracker52 3. Odd-Job_51 3. Juatwanchope
Pro Society - European Open

Tournament Summaries
Pro Am - Indiana Cup
News flash...."Hell has frozen over" because I actually won a tournament. Well I tied for first. If Whineycracker had read his email before he played he would have tanked it like everyone else in the Society did so I could claim victory. as a result of his inaction I have banned him from the next 3 society events. Well actually he is banned from the next 3 events because that was his 3rd win of the season and the "Three Win Rule" takes effect.
Top Finishers
1. Parbuster1962!!!!!!!!! 1. Whineycracker 3. Sketels0814 3. Muscavado48
Pro - Prefontaine Classic
A few asked why Prefontaine? America's most famous middle distance runner, Steve Prefontaine, grew up just up the coast in Coos Bay, OR. I returned to my normal level of play a lot finished closer to last place than first place.
Top 3:
1. Shamrockdawg 2. Wheatdog24 3. Jimbo7722 3. Lipout44 3. Djflower28 3. Steve_ads.

Tournament Summaries
Pro Am Society - Northern European Championship
77 entrants took to the links in Scandinavia where inspite of narrow fairways and lots of water the scores were approaching record lows. Everyone should enjoy those low scores and those in our current event, The Vegamite Shootout, because Bethpage Black is the next major on the schedule.
Congratulations to our Top 3 finishers and especially our first time winner
1. bretmc 2. Dungarvoner12 3. Nico12000 3. BarryLavety
Pro Society - Bushmills Open
DJflower28 (aka. The Jamaican Bomber) continues to dominate the Pro Society. This is his 4th win of the season which means the "4 Win Clause" is invoked and he must sit out the next 4 events. If he wins a 5th time he will need to sit out 5 events, etc. This clause was created to avoid a having a single or handful of golfers dominating the Society. He has built up a significant lead in the season long Earning Titial but things may change with his absence.
Congrats to DJ and a pair of new names from Scotland on the leaderboard. where are all the Americans? Top finisher from the USA was in 7th place. The GGT version of the Ryder Cup will be interesting in a few weeks as the International players are looking strong.
1. DJflower 2. Zippy-burger 3. Pezz77
We are currently playing a shootout where scores will be insanely low. Only fitting because Bethpage Black and there the conditions will be insanely difficult.

Tournament Summaries - The Shootouts
People either love or hate Shootouts and many have asked why I have them. They were bought on board as a change of pace from the grinding tournaments were conditions are tough. I's an opportunity to see how good your short game is because I set up the courses very short and with moderate green conditions. Y
Also I like to offer events no other societies offer. No one does a shoot out and our Ryder Cup style team event is one of tournament that offers a "modified" matchplay event that is not played online head to head which is next to impossible to schedule in a large society with members around the world.
Pro Am Society - Vegemite Shootout
1. Its_check 2. Doinitforjohnny 2. Masekpmel 2. Hailtheleaf 2. King_Stylzz
Pro Society - Buick Shootout
1. Slake_Moth 2. Tompep1 3. Ddawg76 3. Oaklandish_Bros 3. Wheatdog24
The Pro Society is now becoming very interesting. We have a 4x winner and 3 members at 3 wins. Our 4x winner is currently sitting out 4 events and it appears that soon we will have a few more members having their status temporarily changed. This rule in in effect in all our Societies as it keeps the Society fresh and allows more players to have an opportunity to finish in the Top 5 or even win.

PGA Championship Summary
Record numbers of participants in both societies with 97 entrants in the Pro Am Society and 84 in our Pro society!!!!
Pro Am Society
This society played the Bethpage Black (L) version and it is a far superior version than the Bethpage Black (Est. 1936) which is to put it kindly a horrible layout with many inaccurate holes and questionable greens.
The Main Event was won by DoinitforJohnny closely followed 1 shot back by Godfather70305 and then TSteve914 one more shot back. 8 golfers were within a few shots of the winner. The Alternative event was won by Kevin091184 as he came from behind with a final round 63 wot narrowly beat Shooter-McGavo and Daddy-oh04667.
Pro Society
This event was more about surviving and avoiding a huge number on some of the questionable holes. Ddawg76 took an early lead then barely hung on in the final would narrowly defeating the hard charging Oaklandish_Bros. D's cousin, Shamrockdawg, finished in 3rd place.
