Pro Society - The Green Blazer
Firethorn GC also known as "Augusta National" hosted the first "Green Blazer" Championship and it seems like a few players played a completely different course than the rest of the field.
After 3 or 4 very easy course setups the Tour Directors decided to show the members that this society was also going to challenge the member's patience and sanity with some unbelievably difficult tournaments.
Congratulations to ChrisGreg10 for the win.
Our Top 5 survivors were:
1. ChrisGreg10 2. Johnny Ringo SOL 3. Shortcut70 4. Steve Ads 5. Dungarvoner12 5. Mikewesty
Our current tournament is the exact opposite of the Green Blazer. Easy conditions and low scores should prevail.

Pro Am Society Monterey Open
Alister MacKenzie's other great creation, Cypress Point, was the scene of the Monterey Open where the Tour had little difficulty dealing with the short course and only medium winds. Early winter rains osoften up and slowed down the greens leaving little defense on a course that was designed for an era before 320+ yard drives.
Tour members do love to shoot low scores so this was their chance.
congratulations to Superjp96 for the victory.
We had a large contingent in the Top 5:
1. Superjp96 2. Omahaak47 3. Loki521975 4. DIRT19 5. Bretmc 5. Shamrockdawg 5. BarryLavety 5. Jellis97 5. WhineyCracker52

Pro Am Society - Cornwall Cup
I think I have a new favourite course on 2k21 and if it's this nice in real life it's a must to play if you are ever in the UK..... St. Edonoc Golf Club in Cornwall. Narrow fairways, funky holes you never see in North America and danger lurking if you get careless.
Congrats to Shamrockdawg on his victory.
Top 5
1. Shamrockdawg 2. MagnumMikey_1034 2. Stupid Smooth 2. akrowdy22 5. Dungarvoner12 5. Wardie002
Pro Am is at Royal Lytham next which is a fantastic links course that does not get the credit it deserves.
Pro Society - Carolina Invitational
The Tour Director decided for a complete change of pace at the event in Hilton Head following most players being mauled at the "Green Blazer". THe scores are insanely low because the greens were very flat, soft and slow. Add the fact that the Par 5's were all reachable with a driver and iron it was a recipe for a "SHOOTOUT".
Congratulations to Vladdrac80 and Shortcut70 for sharing the win.
Top 5 were:
1. Vladdrac80 1. Shortcut70 3. DJflower28 4. Chrisgreg10 5. Shamrockdawg
Pro's are down in Australia for a 36 holes on a relatively new course which has nasty greens if they are hard and fast. Hmmm, guess what they will be? Yup hard and fast!!!

Pro Am - English Championship
Are rarity...consecutive 1st and 2nd place finishes by the same 2 golfers. Congrats to Shamrockdawg for the rare double. He and Stipud_Smooth have now had their Pro-Am Society memberships upgraded to the Pro Tour.
Royal Lytham is a narrow links course that is a true out and back design. Enjoy the benefits of 9 holes downwind because the way home is all into the wind. Great accomplishment by the members as over 80% finished par or better.
Top 5 were:
1. Smackrockdawg 2. Stupid_Smooth 3. Whineycracker 3. Omme800 5. Lipout44
Season One is winding down with 3 remaining event 2 of which have hosted the Ryder Cup and the Tour Championship at Pebble Beach which has hosted numerous US Opens.

Pro Am Society - Welsh Rarebit Cup
82 golfers made the trip to Wales to tackle a course that hosted the Ryder Cup. This course has plenty of water and spelled doom for those who were careless.
We had a pair of 1st time winners share the Trophy; ico612000 and Wardie002. The top 20 spots were filled with some less familiar names which is great to see.
Top 5 finishers were:
1. Nico 612000 1. Wardie002 3. Tluck 27 4. RyanDFlu82 5. Iannozzo24 5. Godfather70305
Hometown boy, Shala-shasska86, used his local knowledge to take the early lead but the pressure of playing on his home course and perhaps a little too much premature celebrating the night before the final round lead to a 7th place finish.
Next stop we are at Kiawah Island which als0 hosted one of the most famous Ryder Cup back in the 1990's.

Pro Am Society - War on the Shore
Kiawah Island hosted our last event as Season 1 on 2k21 quickly winds down.
The competition fierce and at the end of the day there was quite a cluster of players in the Top 10.

Pro Society Maritime Memorial and Maritime Hackers
The 2nd of our split events on the Pro Tour and it ha definitely made the Tour more competitive for more players. In season 2 we will try a mix of single events and split events.
Winner of the Maritime Memorial was our Jamaican pro....DJFlower28 with a 2 stoke wine over Shamrockdawg.
The Maritime Hackers was the closest tournament in GGT history with Lipout44 beating Steve Ads by 1 shot and 11 other golfers only 2 strokes further back.
Season Finale is at Australia's National Golf Club (Old Course)

VD80 Tour Championship - Pro & Pro Am Summary
The Pro Am Championship was held at arguably the most recognizable and famous course in the world...Pebble Beach. Long time Global Golf Tour member Whineycracker surged from behind after a slow start to beat relatively new member Shala-shaska who is probably getting tired of coming in second by now.
Top 5 were: 1. Whineycracker 2. Shala-shaska 3. Nico612000 3. Mojofugy9974 5. AncientAge449
The Pro Society held their VD80 Tour Championship at The National Golf Club (Old Course) in Australia. The Old Course is part of an exclusive club in Australia and is an extremely challenging course with sloping fairways, numerous doglegs and very large undulating greens.
Lipout44 captured his 2nd win in 3 starts on the Pro Tour with a two shot win over EastcoastGolfer.
Top 5 are as follows:
1. Lipout44 2. EastCoastGolfer 3. crushherman90 4. ddawg76 4. Stupid_Smooth
A special congratulations to the handful of golfers who completed their rounds at National Golf Club in spite of struggling with the extremely difficult settings and playing conditions. Most other people would have packed it in and complained about the course.
Season 2 has now started and there are some subtle changes to the Society and tournament format which will be posted soon, including an announcement for later this year.

Season 2 Opener Shootout - Pro Am & Pro Am Societies
We opened the Season at Spyglass Hill with a "Shootout" which means the tees are up, there is no wind, the greens are soft and green speed is moderate. This is a perfect opportunity to start the season with lots of birdies and eagles before the Tour returns to it's normal mix of playing conditions.
We will have a total of five Shootouts in Season 2 along with 5 Championship events, 4 Majors and 1 Par 3 tournament at a little 9 hole course located 150 miles east of Atlanta.
The complete Season 2 Schedule will be posted this week along with important changes to the Global Golf Tour.
Congratulations to our Top 3 finishers in the Pro AM & Pro Societies:
Pro Am 1. BA_1078 2. Tluck27 2. Stevecf330
Pro 1. Slack_Moth 1. Shamrockdawg 3. Stupid_Smooth
Both tournaments were hotly contested with only a couple of strokes separating 1st and 10th place finishers. Both the Pro Am's and Pros played the exact same setup and the winning scores were almost identical. In fact the Top 3 placers in the Pro Society are recent graduates from the Pro Am Society.
We are now at the Austin County Club for a single round event where the winds are up, I am confident we won't see any -18's in Austin.

Society Changes for Season 2
Pro Am Society Eligibility Any member who is shooting 62 or lower on a regular basis (ie. 7 or more times out of their last 20 games) will no longer eligible for the Pro Am Society and will be asked to play in our Pro Society
Pro Society Eligibility While the Society is open to everyone if in my opinion a member(s) level is so superior to other members they will be removed from the Society so that the Society is competitive for all members.
Pro Am Society “Three Win Rule”/Pro Society “Four Win Rule” When a member wins his 3rd tournament of the season in the Pro Am Society he is ineligible for the next 3 events. He will be advised via PS4 messenger that he may not play if necessary his membership status will be changed to “banned” until eligible for reinstatement. If a player wins a 4th event he will then be ineligible for the next 4 tournaments. For the Pro Society this rule applies with the 4th win of the season and he will be ineligible for the next 4 events and after the 5th win he is ineligible for the next 5 events. The reason for this is that we do not want one or two players dominating the Society events.
Event Schedule Pro Am & Pro Societies will now play the same courses but within their respective Society. Each season will be 31 events and 60 days in length. Majors will now have a Main & Alternative events with entry based on past wins, and current placement in the Total Points & Total Earnings. There will be an off day before each Major so that the 2k21 statistics have time to be updated by HB Studios.
Tournaments We have changed the number of rounds so that there is a mix of single round, two round and three round tournaments. There will be 5 Championships, 4 Majors, a Ryder Cup style team event and 5 Shootouts. Shootouts are single round tourneys with the tees forward, no wind and soft greens. These events are designed to be fun and low scoring. The Ryder Cup will be played at “Pro Difficulty” settings in the Pro Am society.
Bonuses All events will have bonuses while the special events will have added bonuses: Shootouts 2500 Championships 3000 Majors 4000
Projected bonus’s for the Pro Am Society will be 60,000 coins and the Pro Society 80,000 coins. If you have excess coins please consider making a donation to the Society so that we can meet the planned bonus levels.
Masters Society There have been a number of requests for a Masters Society to be added to the Global Golf Tour Group. We do plan to add one once the Pro society has grown in size and I find someone who can manage the day to day operations of the Society including marketing the Society to others on 2k21. I anticipate that the Society will be operating by the time Season 3 begins in January. If you are interested in this position please contact me.

TPC Deere Run is all about putting, if you can avoid leaving yourself a downhill putt you should score well. The Pro Am Society saw a leaderboard full of newer members while the Pro Society is turning out to be very competitive with Shamrockdawg picking up his 2nd win in 3 starts.
