Hate this course! Well, I'm sure my opening 77 probably has swayed my opinion somewhat, but still. The fairways are ridiculously narrow, the firm crowned greens make it almost impossible to hold, and the wind was 15-20mph. I had no chance! Good luck everyone else. I think this'll be my first missed cut this year. Oh well, keeps the weekend free for me.

Tough course but I like the challenge... Well, sorta. Had two 68s and a 64 in practice and then barfed my way through a 71 first round. I'm officially a choker!

Very tough course! Felt like trying to stop a golf ball on a pool table with the sides sloping away!
I hope 3rd place stands, but I doubt it.

Just finished all my rounds. Consistently struggled on the front 9 and got hot on the back. Put up a 28 on the back 9 in my final round. Likely too little too late as I may struggle to make the cut.

THe front is the killer. If I can shoot Even or -1 on the front I can score... but have yet to do that... all practice over par so far...

So true Nic. The front will be the difference in who wins this tournament. I just couldn't get it going on the front in any round.

That was tough !! - Top 10 finish last week and then +6 in Round 1 this week
It is a bad round when you shoot +6 and you don't have any hard luck stories to tell.
Looks like I will get the weekend off !!

Having just arrived to the Web A after a self initiated demotion from the PGA tour, I was excited to play to 4 rounds and not miss another cut! I played my first practice round and it seemed like every hole I heard the announcer tell me "looking good"...only to see the ball trickle down the green and off into the rough or down a hill. Then try to pitch or flop and have the ball coming back or going down the slopes and over the other side of the green. Very frustrating to say the least. We're the greens unfair? Absolutely. Was this course over the top hard? No doubt. But I did find it very challenging and what I liked was that birdies were earned and misses were penalized. In the end after hating this course I respected the toughness and skill. I shot a 65 in practice with little wind, but played all the tourney rounds in 9-13, so my best was 68, In the tournament. All in all, this was an interesting test. I won't play it again and it certainly won't be a favorite, but it gets props for giving me all I could handle, shooting 3-4 shots over my average. On to White Sands for many birdies and eagles!
