Well I just gave away a Masters ticket. still in disbelief. I was 3rd in the money list on Web A. Shot a 68 first round, not great but fine. Shot an 81. Yep 81. Again, that was an 81 from the winner last week in round 2. UGHHHHHH. I only finished and posted because I knew I would still make the cut. a few grand could help. I chipped it back and forth on hole 8 so many times I flipped over a coffee table. My children learned new words... I had a 5 foot eagle putt on 8 in rd 1, made bogey, never truly recovered. Here is the main story line. Jim Brown needs to finish top 3 to earn enough to pass me. He is currently tied for the lead. A top 3 finish is never easy, so unfair to say that I gave it away, as Jim certainly appears to be "earning it", but I cant feel anything but that I gave away my shot at the Silver cup...

misternic, I made a 9 on #8 in the second round doing the same thing you did. Made a double bogey on the next hole because I 'lost my cool'. A 2nd round 75 shot me out of the Web B tourney. Like tough courses but maybe a few of these greens were a little over the top.
Tough luck on maybe missing the Masters ...maybe. Its never over until the last putt is made! That was my goal a few weeks ago but I couldn't get it going enough to get to the winners circle. I really love Magnolia National. I would also like the web to play a tourney at Double Black at Christina Pines. One of my favorites!
I'm sure the ones who do make the Masters field will really enjoy the week!

Since a lot didn't submit scores, only two people were cut. Lucky I saw that post otherwise I'd have assumed I was cut with my piss poor +6. Means I have to endure more pain knocking it round for another 36 holes. EUGH!

I am going to play this course aggressively, which is a very bad tactic. -18 or +30 here I come.

You know this course would be really fantastic, If the greens were modified just a bit. First and foremost, take the crown out of the greens. If you do that, and make make each green say 10% bigger, it would still be a challenge, but a fair one. As much as I and quite a few others have knocked this course, it has a certain charm to it. But the way it is now, its like a great movie with a lousy ending. Its sort of a letdown, in the sense you can get some great shots to the green, only to watch them roll off, and that doesn't take much since there so small. I may regret saying this as I now have to endure another 36 holes here, but maybe the winds won't be as strong this time.

Just played my first round at White Sands, I'm in shock. I played a practice round of -12 directly before heading out for the first round. I ended up at -6 after a bogey on 18. Im definitely out of contention already as the winner will be 60-below all 4 rounds. The update also made my ball go left every single shot by the slightest margin even if my cursor was straight, interested to see if anybody else has that problem.

My ball seemed to go right a bit on some perfectly hit shots but my golfer plays lefty. I'll also be interested to see if that was just me or the update.

I play with a righty so it would match up to your ball going a little right. It felt like I was pulling every shot when actually I hit it perfect. Could be user error and I just got it stuck in my head who knows.

I'm pretty happy with my 2nd straight top-10 finish. Congrats to Jim Brown on conquering such a tough course.
