I have to agree with Farmer. I don't know of a single course in the entire PGA calendar that replicates anything near this course. Fairways are too narrow and have some ridiculous slopes for the width of them. One or the other! As for the crowning on the greens, again, fair if the greens are a decent size but they're far too small. I like a challenging course but this is bordering on unplayable on some holes.
As for my rounds, I was going along nicely at -2, but hit a terrible tee shot on 12 (I think) which left me in the thick woodland behind a huge tree, ended up doubling that hole and then doubling the next because I was so wound up. 75,71 through the first two rounds, don't think I'll be making the cut somehow.

Holy crap.
I played about 6-7 practice over the past few days and never even sniffed breaking par. I was regularly finding myself looking at +6 on my scorecard. Last night I decided it was about time to just start actually playing my tournament rounds so I played the first round (I'll be playing the second round tonight). I ended up scoring a 65! There were a couple par saving putts that I made that I never even got close to making in my practice rounds. My tee shots also somehow found a way to stay in the fairway on pretty much every hole. At on point I was hovering at 2-under and then on one of the back-9 par 5 holes, I chipped in for eagle from about 11 yards away in which I did the whole "hand raised in the air as it headed towards the cup" motion and then a violent fist-pump when it went in which literally knocked my glasses off (I usually wear contacts but this was late at night). At the end, I was so happy (relieved?) when I parred the 18th and found myself actually breaking par on this course. I'm kinda afraid that I'll bomb the rest of the rounds but for now I'm satisfied.
For the record, I still don't like the course. I enjoy a challenge, but it's gotta be more of a strategic challenge rather than a frustrating challenge. Most of the greens on this course make it a frustrating challenge.

I got round in decent figures, played all four rounds with wind from 5mph up to 16mph hit some great shots into the small landing areas and they held, missed a few putts but overall satisfied with my scores all under par. Hoping to make the top twenty with a bit of luck. I thought it was a thinking man's course and you couldn't just take a driver off the tee or even go for the greens on some of the par fives. Enjoyed it though

I'll go against the grain here. I LIKE THIS COURSE. Yes it's tough and I haven't scored well. Will struggle to make the cut but I liked this course. It's tough but I don't think it's unfair. Needs a lot of skill and a lot of thought put into every shot but that's the sort of challenge that appeals to my competitive nature.

A great shot within 3 feet ends up being penalized because of the ridiculous crowning. That is just plain dumb.

Exactlyyyyyyyyyy.......I played the last rounds anyways "incase" I made the cut which if anybody shoots -11 like the leader did in round one they should automatically be given a reach around. I can't count how many times I've said "this is a great approach" to myself, and then NOPE gotta roll off the green or 30 ft away from the hole then it's time to chip back and forth over the hershey kiss of a mound they call greens on this course plain dumb indeed A nice birdie setup turns into bogey mostly. Irritating at best..... Not all the designers fault 90% at least but the green roll outs and physics in this game still baffle me especially hitting out of the sand or rough!

Shouldn't laugh but some guy in web C posted +77 for the first 2 rounds. That takes some doing

Played round 2 last night and shot an even par. I should be happy considering the scores I was making during my practice rounds. However, after the score I put up in the first round and the fact that I was 3-under for the round midway through the back-9, I feel a little disappointed. I'm fairly certain I'll make the cut but I'm gonna have to shoot better in the final two rounds if I want to get a top-20 finish.

Tough course with any wind, tough with no wind. Winner of this has to play in no wind. The whole game comes down to chipping n flopping in order to score.

I hope more people hurry up and post scores. I'm in serious danger of making the cut with the numbers so far and I REALLY don't want to play any more rounds here,

I'm dreading mine but I will post my two rounds... I've wanted to throw my virtual clubs each time I have played it, not sure I'll get time now to practice again so will likely be a shocker

Well, that was hard work. Saw winds up to 15mph and never less than 10.
I was holding my own for 3 rounds without actually troubling the top end of the leaderboard (surprise!) but it all went to pot over 3 or 4 holes on round 4 and I finished up with an ugly 75.
Still, managed a 72 hole score under par which i was pretty pleased with considering the conditions and my chipping has noticeably improved over my rounds here. So there's that....

This course has landing areas on every green. Attack the flag on every hole and you will find trouble. Sorry, having to land the ball in the rough to get it close with a lucky bounce is a joke. This is also the first course I've played were the majority of players feel the same. Glad you liked the course though. What did you shoot?

I'm sorry not sure what you're doing but I never had to bounce off the rough to achieve a good shot. The only thing I can think you're doing is attacking the pin which is risky on this course. Sometimes you have to accept hitting into a safe zone is the better choice of shot. I finished +1 for the tournament but got unlucky with the winds. Could have shot lower but my lack of focus/patience got the better off me once again!
