I'm the same way. I wanted a good test and this course is a lot like Magnolia, fast greens but not overly firm. Since I'm currently 100 WGR (might go up with the last tourney, I need to make sure I get into the top 90. Bison Run was going to kick my ass with that setup of Hard/Fast greens so I came back over here to the Euro side to attempt to get into the top 90 here. I probably won't but I think it gives me my best shot at it. I'm in the same boat as you BT but I signed up to PGA to get me there.... Might rue that decision if I can't improve on my practice rounds this far and miss the cut here I shot about 8 rounds on round 1 and 2 and the best I could eek out was one round of -6 with a couple rounds over par. I don't like courses you have to use the fairway to cause your ball to "bite" enough to get just to the center of the green. If it was just one hole, fine, but each round there was about 4-8 holes that you just could not stop the ball period without hitting the rough or fairway first, even with extreme loft. It was Kodiak all over again in my nightmares.

Can't please everyone. I like these settings. Others hate them.

Maybe we need to get rid of the Spoiler threads. I think it kind of ruins the suspense of the tournaments. I agree. I just got to convince the rest of the team. I think the spoilers thread keeps other spoiler posts from popping up that you didn't want to read...I tlike them in one spot so I know to read or avoid based on my preference

No one can posts about their rounds before the deadlines. So we keep the "No spoiler" thread. Knowing what someone shot or what you need to shoot to finish here or there is not suspenseful. I would think it would add to the pressure of needing a certain score to win. Most of the really good players post in there and they all need to know what they have to shoot or who won as soon as the tournament has started. Silly.

Better to contain it to one thread than to have many smaller threads. As for knowing scores - everyone can pretty much get 1/3 of the scores by looking at the in-game leaderboards so there's not much there we can do to hide that. Just the nature of the beast at this point. We are going to make some changes to the schedule soon so that the chatter is minimized while another event is going on. But it won't solve the problem of everyone knowing the scores to beat by the 2nd or 3rd day of the tournament.

I have been guilty of posting in the spoiler thread and looking as well. For the life of me I don't know why. lol No one cares about my scores and I have no chance to win. I will just refrain from looking at that thread altogether. lol

Silly. to be fair that what the spoiler thread is for. There is already the rule of not posting outside of that thread so if you don't want to know, simply don't look at the thread! You can't go round looking at the spoiler thread and post in it and then complain that you already know who has won?! If other people want to do it that's their provocative and there is little you can or should be able to do about that

I just have to say this. How in the hell does someone shoot -13 on round #1 at Bison Run? That's machine-like. Was it 3 eagles or a hole in one and 2 eagles plus whatever birdies were achieved? Anyway, hats off to the person who did this amazing feat.

my putter has totally abandoned me on my own course! Shots were ok...but every putt...it seemed I over-read just about every single one and have really boxed myself in. BLECH!

Yea add me to the group that didnt enjoy this set up. I loved the course it was great but having to loft your irons 2-3 boxes in order to hold greens is just not realistic golf. why would anyone loft their 4 iron 2 boxes to achieve the same distance as their 6 iron just so the ball lands softer on the green? That is bad physics on HB's part. Or the having to land the ball in the fairway just to hope to hold the green is not my favorite way to play this game.
Overall great course but the settings are not enjoyable at all. green speeds and the breaks were the best part in my opinion
Shot -7 for the first two rounds probably missed my first cut ever

It's good they have caught him, it's just a pity he can't have his previous finishes 4th at Arnold palmer retrospectively looked at as I'm sure he won't deserve that finish. But that I'm sure would be a logistical nightmar.
