Just a warning that Bison Run will be a multi-pin setup that is going to be firm/fast. We warned you that things were going to get a little tougher and here is the first test. The speeds are pretty quick so if that isn't your cup of tee I would suggest jumping over to the Euro Tour while there are still spots open.
I just tested all 4 sets of pins out and the best I could shoot was 9-under with 9-14mph winds. You will need to play for some roll. Some of the par 3's were extremely hard to birdie with tailwinds. I did make some eagles. This will be a complete 180 from the past couple of weeks. Good luck!!

Pencil me in for a win as this is right in my wheelhouse We all know that you'll withdraw before the event Joking aside, I think this needs to be done for all future events on the PGA Tour.

Yeah it definately does.... I've designed a couple of multi pins and tees now and it doesn't take that long to set them up. Couple of hours max. As long as when the course is designed that the multi tees are layed out then it's just a matter of selecting what tee and pin location combo you go for and a few round test to see how it plays and your done. With TGCT giving one months notice it gives ample time for the designer to implement them and re publish a setup. Think it should be compulsory for top tier courses going forward if they are chosen. That's my 2cents.

Great stuff Scott. I have not tried it yet, but I do recall thinking when I played Bison run that it would be better with firmer conditions, and this designer would be more than up to the task of jacking that course up. Because it does take more than just taking the current course and jacking the sliders.
Edit: Well that was fun, high wind it was a beast, welcome me back to the pack.
If I could be so bold as to offer some advice to designers of fast and firm courses.
1. You want us to stay on the green and not just bounce through them, we can chip, pitch and flop pretty good and there is a big big difference between a 15 yard pitch and a 45 foot putt. 2.You don't need the monster yardage anymore, it's harder to par a 420 yard par 4 where the ball stays on the green then a 480 yard par 4, see #1 3. Make those fairways easy to hit, it makes the green accessible in regulation, otherwise we can chip, pitch and flop pretty good and save an easy par, see #1. 4. Your looking for mid iron approaches, not long iron or wedge approaches, mid iron approaches will stop on the green, where is anybody's guess though, wedge approaches still stop dead albeit a little further away so feel free, but long iron and wood approaches just fly through the green and see #1.
Just my 2 cents, by the way rated a 10 on day 1, nice work reeb, great job, makes the course far far more fun.

I gave the course a run this morning, 1st play on Xbox! Going to be a much better challenge. I had stiff 10-15mph winds throughout and scraped out a -4 with 3 bogeys, 2 of them coming from the dastardly par 3's. I do question hole 2 as I had a 15mph headwind and couldnt reach the fairway off the tee without lofting. May not matter as I doubt anyone will play in winds higher than 8...or maybe 4. Also, I had a larger than usual number of 91-92% tee shots from stutter or something. Gotta be careful on this course, overall great choice.

As of right now, only 6 spots remain. If you want in -- you better make a decision quickly!

you can still score...but you're going to have shots that end up short or long because you missed your spot by a yard. I watched Scott play and there was a lot of shot shaping going on to get to his scores. He also nailed some LONG putts.
I will tell you that if you find a pin that's a bear...just wait...next hole will probably be easier. I tried to keep from stringing hard ones together.

one other thing. This is not as firm as it gets. I did NOT take the firmness all the way up...just most of the way.
