I will also say this:
There are certain holes you need to play for par, and certain holes for you to attack and play for birdie.
4 par 5's, play them for birdie and not eagle, and that should get you to -4 each round alone, then there are 3 or 4 par 4's that are rather short, play aggressive here and get yourself as close to the green as possible off the box, even if that means landing in the rough, if you are close enough to flop, you are close enough to put yourself in good position to birdie.
this should bring you to at least -6 or -7, and if you play your cards right on the rest of the holes (playing for par), if you sink a few of those longer putts, and prevent yourself from 3 putting, you can easily find yourself sitting at -10 after the 18 is up.
The key here, is to know when to play for GIR, and course management, and know when to be in attack mode.
then again, why the f#$#$ am i giving you all tips......everything i said above is a damn lie.

Can't speak for Xbox, but on PS4 Bison's does take a really long time to load. The next update should hopefully really help, but I've had to give it what seems like 5 minutes in the past. Staring at the screen seemingly doing nothing messes with your head, you think something is broken, so I would start to load it, then go make a coffee or just keep myself otherwise occupied for a few minutes to avoid looking at the screen. Come back to it a few minutes later and everything is good to go. Seems to play fine once loaded.
If folks have the luxury of time, on ps4/xbox maybe waiting for the update to hit (fingers crossed - Mon/Tues next week?) would be a good way to go.

I birdied number 16... not the hardest par three on the course. If you have a tailwind it will be much harder than a side or head wind for sure.

I've been reading some the posts in this thread, and in general in other threads regarding the firmness of courses, not being able to hold greens, greens not rewarding good shots, etc., and I've come to this conclusion. You can not have your cake and eat it too.
Too many that have a gripe about these conditions mentioned above seem not to be playing the game based on RLG. A lot of us are requiring the game to try and simulate RLG as much as possible, but when we have players trying to "attack pins" on greens that have no business being aggressive on, and then they are up in arms about it rolling 20 years past. Yea, sure, it's the firmness' fault. Maybe you should play for the center of the green and make par LIKE IN RLG. The 12th at Augusta comes to mind. Players play for the center of the green the majority of the times on that hole.
I am by no means an elite player in this game, at best average to above average, but it seems like common sense to play safe when REQUIRED. That's what the great designers of this game do, they set up these holes to reward players for making the RIGHT CHOICE. Not players who think they hit the right shot because it landed near the hole. There is no divine right when it comes to how well you think you hit your shot, because maybe, just maybe that shot wasn't the right one based on that hole.
My challenge is that when you find yourself cursing the greens, or firmness, or designer, take a breath, look at the conditions you are/were given (lie, wind, swing, green contour, pin placement), and ask yourself if that was the shot you really should have been hitting. You might be surprised about the answer.

Just a word of encouragement for everyone. You will get better at Fast and Firm if you just play it and play patiently. I hope that my fears about a less than full field and lots of WDs due to incomplete rounds does not become reality. You just gotta change your frame of mind to one that says hard and challenging can be fun.
