Only if you read them. The word Spoiler in the thread title is a pretty big clue True. But if someone reads them, then they should be not be complaining. Not sure if that was the case or not. Getting rid of them altogether solves any issue. Not really as people would just create their own threads. At least with the Locker Room it keeps it central to one avoidable thread if it isn't your thing.

It's not a very impressive course imo. Takes forever to load. Fps is less than desirable. I don't know that I would've even rated it "tour worthy" if I had reviewed it. I'm not gifted in the way of designing a course but if I wanted to make a tough course I would -make par 4s 450+ yards long -make par 3s 200+ yards long -make par 5s 600+ yards long No need for the ridiculously fast and firm conditions. I'm all for these conditions if I have a fair chance of hitting a shot that can roll up to a pin. Impossible scoring conditions like very fast, very firm mixed with tucked pins on shallow greens equals unplayable. I'm sure there will be a slew of pga players trying to crossover this coming week. Not sure it's unplayable, maybe not birdieable, and from what I seen the PGA side filled fast this week.
This course won a contest if I'm not mistaken and beat Biggins as well.
It's a large file, needs a minute to load then plays fine.
On to the conditions, I think most PGA players are looking forward to these conditions, where par does not lose a stroke to the field and the birdie depending on hole will maybe even gain a stroke on the field. The course hands you a -6 before you even tee off, that's plenty to keep the score in check.
What I find entirely unrealistic is sticking the pin and birdying every hole. The only knowledge needed is the carry distance to the hole and the carry distance of the club, no offense but a monkey can figure that out. These conditions make par a good score and birdie a better score, that's more realistic in my books. Now in order to shoot lights out you will need to plan and execute your shots needing far more information and need to know the carry distance of all your clubs and all the lofts. You will need to plan your attack at the green, do you try for the pin or do you play for par. Firing at all the pins is poor course management. Course Management is an integral part of the game of golf, these conditions bring back the need for course management skills.
This was a great decision by TGC for this tour, a decision I predict will end up sticking like glue for this tour.
Yes, you and me and everyone else will have to re-learn the game to play these conditions, but it will make for a better more rewarding game of true realistic golf.
By the on to your course suggestion, when I play golf here and in RL, much of my opinion of the course comes from did I need every club in my bag. With your suggestions I would only need 5 of the 14 clubs I have in the bag. With these new conditions, each and every club has a different reaction, each and every loft has a different reaction, with these conditions the course need not be monster long for a challenge, but can be much shorter and the player can use the entire bag of clubs they are lugging around.
Fair enough and I agree with your views. I did say that I'm all for these conditions did I not? My complaint was more towards the course that was picked. I played five practice rounds and never could really see where it was up to pga standards. How can I attempt to make a downhill putt on a lightning fast green when the fps is so bad that it's nearly impossible to get the backswing desired due to the sluggishness of the fps? Rarely do I have any complaints but I just don't see "it" with this course. I hope the designer doesn't take too much offense to my view. Respectfully, it needs work.

Hi dennis, have you tried changing the display setting regarding depth of field, it has been suggested a few hundred times now and fixes peoples frame rate issues. The squirt I can't help with, I squirt as well as do most people. LOL Yeah I squirt too. Yes I have DOF set to off. What I see most time is if there is a lot of wind and a lot of tree shadows. I was playing Agusta today and got to one hole and couldn't even hit the ball. Would not make a down swing. Had to shut the game off. No matter how fast or slow I swung I could not hit the ball.

I love this course and the way it plays now! hadn't noticed the FPS issue on XB1 but even now that I do it's not an issue. As for the load time...whatever? at most it's taken me maybe 5 minutes to load the course. Have a book or your laptop next to you. I think we have ourselves a great week of golf here fellas (or ladies..or however anyone self-identifies) and I'm wicked pumped for it

I am liking this course. Just shot -9 on the round 1 course. After -21 and -22 missed cuts, this has been a breath of fresh air, you have to work to score well.

If I were playing on the actual PGA tour and I missed the cut, you're damn right I'd be talking about next week's tournament. There are no spoilers here since the tournament has not even started yet.

Maybe we need to get rid of the Spoiler threads. I think it kind of ruins the suspense of the tournaments. I agree. I just got to convince the rest of the team.

It was a tough choice not go with the PGA this week. I love these multi-pin setups. Sounds like everyone is enjoying it.
With the Masters just around the corner, I felt Lengua Del Diablo would be a better warm-up considering it has the same firmness-speed settings.

I wanted a good test and this course is a lot like Magnolia, fast greens but not overly firm. Since I'm currently 100 WGR (might go up with the last tourney, I need to make sure I get into the top 90. Bison Run was going to kick my ass with that setup of Hard/Fast greens so I came back over here to the Euro side to attempt to get into the top 90 here. I probably won't but I think it gives me my best shot at it.

Might rue that decision if I can't improve on my practice rounds this far and miss the cut here
