Round 3 Easy win for SkyBlueBen and I had 2 Humphs and a Double Humph on my way to -4. Sorry Parrots, no mid week report as my week back to work has been hectic. Next week I hope to bore you with my drivel. Now if you will excuse me I have another singles match to lose. Onward!

Round 4 No way I get close to honeybadger64 and his dozen under. Stumbling off a -4, I felt rejuvenated by my first chirp of the week on the first hole. Still, this course does not give up scores easily for me. Workman like front, clean but still only -3 which mirrors the outwards on rounds 1 and 3. Can't quit now....no way I go 9 or 10 under to make a match of it. Chirps on 10 and 11....iggle on 13. -7 is nice, but not enough holes left. Chirp 15 and 17. Then a closing iggle on the last to fall one shot short. -11. GG Greg. Now off for this olde school gawlf. Onward!

Like Art, I also had a winnable 3rd round (sorry, not sorry, Celtic Wolf) Pat was in reach until the lone inexplicable Humphrey on #7 left me at -3 at the turn (#9 and #10, lovingly known as Katana’s Ingrown Pube both yielded routine pars, but birdie was just missed on both. It should be noted that both were fairway in regulation, thank you very much). Blew just enough birdie chances on the back to get the four holes the slope ratings said I should, yet alas, close but no Seger. -7 Nice win, Pat - I’ll get you on the return trip. @honeybadger only because I remain a tite amateur. Now to take down Johnny’s -14.

Round 4 vs Johnny of the Round Table As promised, I took down Johnny’s -14, gave it a little polish, and put it back on the scoreboard, completely safe from my abilities. I did give it quite the effort in a thriller for the ages, taking bird on #1 and riding high on the crest of a wave. Turns out that was just me wetting myself. My strategy of acing the par 4 #4 backfired as my tee shot over the bay didn’t quite fade back the way it was supposed to and my ball paid a visit to Frans. My ace quickly became bogey, and my dreams seemed dashed. However, my cunning plans still had some legs, as I had Bollocks right where I wanted them. Entering the infamous #9 & #10, Katana’s Genital Wart, my course to victory involved acing one and birding one (#10 complied with a perfect birdie play). However, things started to look a bit tenuous after the tee shot on #9 rolled over the fairway and into the rough of a sharp downhill lie, and the two approach shots bouncing off the left of the green into no man’s land, netting the snowman, and +3 at the turn. Besting -14 was slowly slipping away It wasn’t a problem until it was, as my revised plan of taking 9 eagles on the back were foiled by a routine birdie on the aforementioned #10, and no eagles at all over the remaining 8. Having corrected the game plan to -3 on the back nine after 16, I sprung into action seeking to take treble albatross on both #17 and #18, but settled for disappointing birdies on both to fall just short of Johnny’s now very suspicious -14, being barely edged out with a final score: -2 Great match, Johnny, truly one for the history books! Held on like a true champion at the end as my late push simply wasn’t enough to spring the upset. honeybadger64 because I know you dig this sort of thing.

Old School Golf Round
Not too bad of a score for my first serious attempt at this style of golf.
My last 5 holes were disappointing after a steady start.
